Guest Biography:

Dr. David Seaman was the first person to author a scientific paper that specifically hypothesized that diets can be pro-inflammatory or anti-inflammatory. Since that paper was published in 2002, thousands of papers and numerous books have been published on the topic of diet and inflammation, which is now accepted as mainstream.

Dr. Seaman is a Professor of Clinical Sciences in the Chiropractic Medicine program at National University of Health Sciences in Pinellas Park, Fl. He has a BS from Rutgers University in 1982; a Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in 1986; and a MS in Bio/nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in 1991

While in clinical practice in the late 1980’s, he became aware of the developing research that linked nutrition to the inflammatory process and noticed that appropriate dietary changes could significantly improve various musculoskeletal and visceral conditions. Based on this experience, he began to focus on nutritional approaches for inflammation/pain control and has followed the related scientific literature ever since. This led to the publication of the first book on nutrition for pain and inflammation, which was followed by many articles and book chapters devoted to this topic. His educational efforts resulted in being awarded the 2006 Academician of the Year by the American Chiropractic Association.

BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD, POCO, LOGGINS & MESSINA

MUSIC LEGEND

J I M   M E S S I N A

ON THE RAY SHASHO SHOW

Loggins & Messina, Poco, Buffalo Springfield; these are just a few of the monumental musical groups that singer/songwriter/guitarist Jim Messina has been involved with. As an artist his resume speaks for itself, with a string of hits including “Your Mama Don’t Dance,” “Angry Eyes,” “Peace of Mind,” among others. As a producer and engineer he’s done sessions with some of the greatest in rock and pop, such as Kenny Loggins, the Doors, Lee Michaels, Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass and the aforementioned Buffalo Springfield (where he also replaced bassist Bruce Palmer for the band’s final album).

The year 2016 finds Messina active and creative as ever, with a new live album In the Groove. “The album was made in anticipation of the fact that I changed booking agents to the Roots Agency,” says Messina. “They did a tremendous amount of research and found that there are a lot of areas I had not been to and where people would like to see me. They wanted to book me in those places.”

Messina knew that a key component to the tour would be a new album. “But an album of new material at this point in time would be difficult,” he says, “when, in fact, most people wanna see me for who I am in terms of what I’ve done over the years and all the bands I’ve been in.” So, in September of 2015 he took his band into the Clark Center for the Performing Arts in Arroyo Grande, CA and the Lobero Theater in Santa Barbara, CA for two nights of the singer/songwriter’s retrospective catalog.

As a special guest for the evening, Messina invited longtime collaborator and former Poco steel guitarist Rusty Young to join in on those songs that they made musical history with together. The icing on the cake for Messina was to invite respected audio expert Paul Wolff, of Paul Wolff Designs, to record the shows.

Wolff relates, “I streamed it live with HD video, while mixing front of house, while mixing front row seats, while mixing mono mix for the monitor guy, while mixing side fills, while tracking. We took two nights and mixed for three months and released the USB and vinyl double––Chris Mara of Welcome to 1979 made the vinyl lacquers and the mother stampers––without any record companies, iTunes or CDbaby. We used Indiegogo and are about to do another with PledgeMusic, as we have a friend that runs it.”

As Wolff stated, the album is available in USB format because the inventive and farthinking Messina wanted to take things a step further. “I believe we’re moving into times now where the CD is basically gone,” says Messina. “There will always be people with CD players, but moving forward I did some research. My wife actually told me about this. She handed me this little flash card at a convention we were at. She said it was a hard drive. So I started to play around with it, put some MP3s on it and put it on my computer. I played it in my truck. I thought this might be just the thing that we as an industry might need to focus on.”

ATHENA ANDREADIS

Described by the British press as “A rare diamond”, “A voice blessed”, “A singer destined for great things”

“A voice of great emotional resonance”

”Brave and original.” – The Guardian

“A talented rising star” – Billboard Magazine

Athena keeps touching peoples’ hearts with her powerfully emotive voice.

Athena Andreadis is one of those people who live and breathe and think and talk about music and she writes with the same sort of direct focus. During a one hour Channel 5 / Sky Arts documentary made about her in the UK, legendary songwriter Chris Difford (Squeeze) described Athena as someone who, “writes and sings from the heart. She doesn’t need to be packaged by anyone – she is simply and beautifully her.” She has the same sort of clear artistic vision that marks out Ed Sheeran or Adele or John Legend and it’s matched with a fresh, limitless ambition.

Born in London to Greek parents, Athena’s mother would sing her to sleep. Despite all the music around the house, the young Athena was encouraged to study business, so she headed to Bath University but continued performing. After securing a First Class Degree in Business, Athena enrolled at Trinity College, London, where she graduated from with two post-graduate degrees in Classical and Jazz Voice.  Her consistent performing throughout her school years inevitably lead to Athena recording her debut album, Breathe With Me, which drew many excellent reviews, indeed The Guardian commenting that she was “Brave and original. A remarkably fine singer songwriter.” Since then she has headlined and sold out numerous UK tours, played at Glastonbury, had songs covered by other artists and seen her own music synced with TV, commercials and movies. All the while Athena has built a strong and sizeable following with the sort of word of mouth that can only come from connecting directly with the emotional heart of your audience.

She has collaborated, recorded, performed and written songs with several internationally acclaimed and award-winning artists & songwriters including Eric Appapoulay (Natasha Bedingfield, Cat Stevens), Richard Causon (Ryan Adams, Ethan Johns, The Kings of Leon, Rufus Wainwright), Geoff Martyn (Travis), Chaz Jankel (Blockheads), Marti Pellow (Wet Wet Wet), David Saw (Carly Simon, Ben Taylor), Adam Levy (Norah Jones), Mike Rowe (Sheryl Crowe), Ben Trigg (Arctic Monkeys, Razorlight), Darren Berry (La Roux), Chesney Hawkes, Richard Cassell (Plan B), Ethan Allen (Ben Harper), Miles Zuniga (Fastball), Tobias Froberg (Ane Brun, Lisa Ekdahl), Leslie Satcher and Rebecca Martin,  for which Athena also won an award as a songwriter (“You’re Older” for Rebecca Martin’s album Growing Season) for which they won the Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter Album at the Independent Music Awards (USA).  She has had several cuts on other artists records too, as well as syncs on TV networks like CBS and NBC in the US, and films internationally.

Peeling Apples her second album was produced by Swedes Magnus Frykberg and Tobias Froberg (Ane Brun and Lisa Ekdahl), and co-writers on the record include Richard Causon (Ryan Adams, Ethan Johns, The Kings of Leon, Rufus Wainwright), and Jamie Hartman (Joss Stone, Anastacia) features on a duet. Further to headlining London Bush Hall, her first single, “Finding England” featured on the cover album of Word magazine and was selected for the Visit England campaign to coincide with the London Olympics 2012. Her song ‘Breathe Again’ featured on Concern’s annual TV ad campaign in the UK & Ireland for several consecutive years.

She also released her debut album with SONY in Greece, and her second record with EMI, and in 2014 she released a Greek-language record ‘Giini Aggeli (Earth Angels) co-produced by Giorgos Andreou (Tsaligopoulou, Dalaras, Vitali, Alkinoos Ioannidis) featuring Lina Nikolakopoulou (Haris Alexiou, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Alkistis Protopsalti) with UNIVERSAL– EMI.

Starbucks picked Athena to be their exclusive artist in 2014-2016 and her albums sold in all stores (Greece & Cyprus) raising money for charity. The co-branding deal is still running successfully to this day.

Classic Greek composer Yiannis Markopoulos chose Athena to sing on his long awaited new record also featuring George Dalaras. Athena also featured singing on the Save The Children TV ad in the UK with her version of ‘Silent Night’ (winter 2014-2015) and the TV commercial campaign coming up in Germany (winter 2016).

In 2015 Athena relocated to Los Angeles and recorded her U.S. album, Ready for the Sun at The Village Studios with producer Ethan Allen (Ben Harper, Sheryl Crowe), and Grammy award winners, Jim Watts (engineer) and David Collins (mastering). Musicians on the record include Deron Johnson (Miles Davis), Jimmy Paxson (Stevie Nicks), Michael Ward (Ben Harper) and Jonathan Flaugher (Ryan Adams), as well as album art direction and design by 3-time Grammy award winner Kevin Reagan (Madonna).

Being in Los Angeles quickly provided Athena a life-changing experience when she was selected as the featured artist on Leonard Cohen’s latest record You Want It Darker, where she sings the chorus on the poignant, poetic track “Traveling Light”; Cohen carries the verses. The track, produced by Cohen’s son Adam Cohen, features mandolins and an overall Greek vibe that connects perfectly with Athena’s rich cultural background.

Athena first got wind of Leonard Cohen’s interest in her when she did an interview with a Greek journalist and the writer told her that when asked who his favorite Greek singer was, the icon mentioned her. While following her career, Adam noticed Athena was living and recording Ready for the Sun in Los Angeles and invited her to participate on the new album. She was a perfect fit for the song.

Fresh off the heels of one of the most inspirational periods of her music career, Athena is ready to release her first US recorded and produced album, Ready for the Sun. The featured tracks, “You Bring Me Luck” and “Stronger” reflect two different sides to Athena as an artist, and the entire album carries the common thread of warmth and positivity that she reveals not just with her music, but with her whole person and her approach to life.

In May 2016 Rolling Stone talked about Athena’s environmental work as ambassador of the Plastic Pollution Coalition (USA) alongside other notable individuals Maroon 5, Jack Johnson, Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt.

She is now also a NARAS (GRAMMYs) voting member of the academy.

Guest Occupation: psychic shrink, healer, a mid-wife and an emergency worker
Guest Biography:

JOYA DELANEY

Joya has been called a psychic shrink, a mid-wife and an emergency worker in that she literally helps people say goodbye to a painful past and hello to a future of joy, prosperity and peace.

ABOUT JOYA

Joya Delaney has been a healer since 1975 and today conducts workshops focused on wealth, love and personal development, group and private healing sessions, and travels the world as a consultant to stars and politicians.

Using her many spiritual gifts, she helps heal and raise the vibration of people throughout the world. These psychic gifts and artistic abilities began to manifest at the young age of two years old. Recognizing her special talents, her parents had the wisdom to provide her nurturance and guidance to lead her in the right direction. Today Joya feels that early home training and a spiritual base created a strong foundation for the work she does though out the world. Her parents had their own church, which she attended regularly. In addition, Joya has Native American ancestors many of whom she believes were healers.

Joya says, “I used to test my grandparents to see if they would actually live up to what they preached. They never let me down!” Her psychic ability gave her a deeper insight and an understanding of the past that made lessons in history classes and in church difficult to accept. She could see that much of the information that she was being given was not the truth. This started her on a quest for truth in which she learned from priests, healers, and sages that much of the information that people have been taught in indeed misunderstood and misleading. She learned methods of “tracking” back to the past and removing those “lies” from people’s souls – lies we and our ancestors bought that block us from our full potential.

She has become a powerful channel artist/healer and uses her God-given gifts to assist people to understand global and planetary changes and help people go through their personal transformations as easily and effortlessly as possible.

“My first experience with Joya was amazing. I lay on her massage table, receiving a healing session that was unlike any I have ever received. As Joya chanted some mystical words, in the dimly candle lit room, the entire room started to glow with a golden color! I knew it was the presence of Angels. I had no doubt at all. There are no words to describe it… Spacious, ego free, calm, gentle, loving, wise — just Light! I got off that table with the Joya glow, and there’s no high on earth that could compare. By comparison, everything else is hackneyed and frenzied. She has shown me how to attain what seems unobtainable, yet available.”
— Carole Murray

JOYA’S HEALING WORK TAKES HER ALL OVER THE WORLD

She is the Founder and Minister of the Temple of Regeneration in New York City, where she is involved with healing using a variety of modalities (Reiki, Yohti, Okiomi, and other Release work) designed to remove blockages from people’s minds, bodies and spirits.

Has a statue of a Peace Angel in her likeness from melted down guns.

She has composed two CDs – Age of Light and Hanging Out With The Goddess, both of which are infused with subliminal healing energy technology.
Is in the process of writing a new book about her life’s work The Beverly Hills Shaman – Your Soul’s Power and Wealth Revealed (available in the near future).

“In the world of psychics, mediums and seers, it’s all a crap shoot. With Joya, I got lucky! Not only is Joya knowledgeable and experienced, she operates with tremendous integrity. Joya is and has a true gift.” — Nigel Gibbs

“Joya’s work has helped me to and others to understand ourselves more clearly, and why certain events happen in our lives, as well as the world in general, perhaps, importantly. We are taught how to heal destructive issues stemming from past lives, ancestral patterns, or childhoods that still affect our lives. Paramount, and above all, Joya helped me, my daughter and many others to foster a oneness with Divine Creator and to know ourselves as children of God/ Goddess and to have loving relationship with Mother Earth.” — Crystal Huggins

“I fired my therapist after meeting Joya. My life was a mess, she became a nurturing Mother figure to me and guided me to grow into a very confident and happy person. She gives tough love, but she cares and tells the truth. She does clearings that don’t require talking about traumas and dramas. She’s like a psychic shrink, she locates the cause of the problems and blocks, then moves them in one session. She is one of few female Shamans on the planet. She’s the real deal!” — Maria F.

“When I met Joya, I was dying of some mysterious ailment that doctors could not diagnose nor cure. After our first meeting I started on the road to healing and recovery, on ALL levels. The work she has done on my behalf literally saved my life and blessed me beyond measure. Many negative patterns and spiritual issues have been cleared, layer by layer. Each cleansing has transformed me, allowing more light, abundance, joy, peace, and freedom to come into my life, I give thanks for her presence in my life! “ — Balkis Johnson

“Joya has completely changed my life. There are many who practice (psychics, and healers) but none like Joya. She takes pride in her work, and has helped me gain a better knowledge behind all she does Simply put, she’s the Best of the Best! “ — Sora Sylvers

Simpson and Kobe Bryant cases, Mark Shaw is an investigative reporter and the author of 20+ books whose latest is "The Reporter Who Knew Too Much: The Mysterious Death of What's My Line TV Star and Media Icon Dorothy Kilgallen." More about the book at www.thereporterwhoknewtoomuch.com with Mark's book signing presentation at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pw4y3bWZWnE.

Mr Shaw, a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and the California Bar, has also written "The Poison Patriarch," "Miscarriage of Justice," and "Beneath the Mask of Holiness." He has also penned articles for The New York Daily News, USA Today, Huffington Post and the Aspen Daily News, which he co-founded. More about Mr. Shaw, who lives in the San Francisco area, may be learned at markshawbooks.com and Wikipedia (Mark William Shaw.)

For more than fifty years, the exhaustive 18-month investigation of the JFK assassination by What's My Line? television star, celebrated journalist, and revered investigative reporter Dorothy Kilgallen has been buried due to a cover-up by those threatened with a tell-all book she was writing about the JFK assassination for Random House. When the famed journalist, called by the New York Post, "the most powerful female voice in America," was found dead in her Manhattan apartment in November 1965 of an alleged drug overdose, no investigation occurred despite a staged death scene and suspicions by those closest to her that she had been murdered.

Now the full thrust of Kilgallen's search for the truth is exposed for the first time. Relying on Kilgallen's toxic columns blasting the "Oswald Alone" theory, her flawed autopsy report and never-before-seen videotaped interviews with Kilgallen's two hairdressers, one who found her body, and Jack Ruby co-counsel Joe Tonahill, who permitted her the only interviews Ruby gave to a reporter at his trial, Mark Shaw’s book presents a true crime “whodunit” murder mystery with multiple suspects abounding including Frank Sinatra, J. Edgar Hoover, Mafia Don Carlos Marcello and a “mystery man” the What’s My Line? star met shortly before she died. While focusing on motive for Dorothy Kilgallen's shocking death, the author presents, through Kilgallen's eyes, the most compelling evidence about the JFK assassination since the House Select Committee on Assassinations investigation in the 1970s.

Most importantly, The Reporter Who Knew Too Much points to one startling verdict: Kilgallen was denied justice following her death. That is, until now.

Since the bartending course back in 1979 I have held various positions in Food and Beverage Operations. Bar Manager, Head Waiter, Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, Sommelier, Maitre'd and most recently the past few years am a bartending teacher at a local college.

My experience has found me on such shows as the Doc Zone, being interviewed by CNN, and local television shows both to promote the bartending course and my new book all about my travels during which I basically lived out of a suitcase. It is called "You Only Live Once" because I believe you have to try in life to do what you want to do and not let anything hold you back. The younger you do it the better. Now is the time!

Presently I am 57 years old, happily married for 20 years with 2 boys. I can thank the bartending course for all that I have right now.

How taking a bartending course got me out of dead end jobs to traveling for the next 17 years. I went from working in nightclubs and discotheques in the early 80's to traveling and working in Europe for a few years. After that moving up the ladder to Maitre'd on a luxury cruise ship in the mid 90's. I even wrote a book about my experiences up front and personal detailing how I did it.

My philosophy has always been to look out for good opportunities and to take advantage of what you know and love doing to live an extraordinary life. Never let fear or mistakes stand in your way. Also I will talk on what I would do today if I was in the same spot and taking a bartending course as I did back in 1979.

You only live once!

In his groundbreaking #1 best-selling book, "Positive thinking will never change your life at this book will", counselor and master life coach David Essel explains that we have been duped into believing that such things like the law of attraction, which if followed correctly claims that we can attract millions of dollars into our life, the perfect body, the perfect lover… Just about the perfect anything by simply thinking a certain way.

The forward to David's ball, written by New York Times number one best-selling author Dr. Eldon Taylor, states that our thought process is not powerful enough to attract the very things that the law of attraction says that we should be able to attract.

LEGENDARY SINGER-SONGWRITER-MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST

FOR THE LOVIN' SPOONFUL

AND 'WELCOME BACK KOTTER' THEME SONG

J O H N   S E B A S T I A N

ON THE RAY SHASHO SHOW

Over four decades the contributions of John Sebastian have become a permanent part of our American musical fabric. His group The Lovin' Spoonful played a major role in the mid-'60s rock revolution, but what leader, singer and songwriter Sebastian had in mind was actually a counter-revolution. "We were grateful to the Beatles for reminding us our rock & roll roots," John explains, "but we wanted to cut out the English middlemen, so to speak, and get down to making this new music as an 'American' band." This the Lovin' Spoonful did like nobody before or since, putting their first seven singles into the Top 10. This was unprecedented, and utterly unthinkable at the height of Beatlemania. At first they'd taken older material from blues, country, folk and jug band sources - what we now term "roots music" - and made it sound modern. Then, in a series of original songs composed and sung by John Sebastian, they did the reverse, creating thoroughly modern music that sounded like it contained the entire history of American music. Which it did. You know the songs by heart: "Do You Believe In Magic?" "You Didn't Have To Be So Nice." "Daydream." "Younger Girl." "Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind?" "Summer In The City." "Rain On The Roof." "Nashville Cats." "Six O'Clock." "Darling Be Home Soon." "Younger Generation." These songs did more than simply answer the British invasion, they carried the musical tradition into the future. This music had an immediate and indelible impression on the public consciousness, but John Sebastian was already a name well-known to the cognoscenti.

He was born March 17, 1944 in New York City. His father was a noted classical harmonica player and his mother a writer of radio programs. Regular visitors to the family's Greenwich Village home included Burl Ives and Woody Guthrie, so it was no surprise when young John became a fan of, and then a participant in, the folk music revival that swept the nation in the late '50s.

Making his bow as a member of the Even Dozen Jug Band, his skills on guitar, harmonica and autoharp soon made him a sought-after accompanist on the Village folk scene, working with Fred Neil, Tim Hardin, Mississippi John Hurt, Judy Collins, Bob Dylan and many others. So the Lovin' Spoonful was not his first act, and it certainly wasn't its last. After leaving the group he founded, he bore witness to another turn of the musical zeitgeist with his performances at massive festivals like Woodstock and its English equivalent the Isle of Wight. He had been involved in music for films (most notably Francis Ford Coppola's "You're A Big Boy Now" and Woody Allen's "What's Up Tiger Lily") and Broadway, but when producers of a TV show called "Welcome Back Kotter" commissioned a theme song in 1976, Sebastian's "Welcome Back" became a chart-topping solo record. Throughout the '70s and '80s he continued to record and tour, pleasing old fans and winning new ones.

There's no telling how many aspiring musicians have been nurtured by his instruction books for harmonica and guitar, but he aimed to inspire an even younger audience with the publication in 1993 of the delightful children's book "JB's Harmonica." The '90s also saw John return to the group format with the J-Band, a contemporary celebration of his jug band heritage. The acclaim the group received was gratifying, but bittersweet. The group's albums contain some of the last recorded performances of blues pioneer Yank Rachell and washtub/jug virtuoso Fritz Richmond. Thankfully John's induction into the Rock " Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 hasn't slowed him down. Whether the stage is at Carnegie Hall or a folk festival in some far-flung locale, John is still out there spreading his gospel of American roots music. He is the subject of the current PBS special "Do You Believe In Magic: The Music of John Sebastian," and a new album of duets with David Grisman is due later in 2007. He has also lent his music in support of social, environmental and animal rights causes.

Recently he joined a delegation of songwriters (including Lamont Dozier, Allen and Marilyn Bergman, and Mike Stoller) in Washington, DC to campaign on behalf of the National Music Publisher's Association. Perhaps because it has been the product of heart and soul and history, the oldest song in the Sebastian catalog is as fresh and vital as the song he's about to write tomorrow. That's why you still hear his music everywhere - in movies, on television, in cover versions and samples - and why it's always welcome. John is also a welcome media presence; his commentary, insights and anecdotes and stories are regularly featured in print, radio, TV and film documentary projects. John Sebastian is not only a master musician, writer and performer, he remains one of the best ambassadors American music has ever had.

Guest Biography:

Daniel Packard is a Trainer of Love Athletes. Daniel believes that in the same way a physical athlete can train their body for Olympic level sport, a Love Athlete can train their consciousness for Olympic level love.  For over ten years Daniel has been training Love Athletes to experience the triumphant joy of Olympic level love.

TRANSFORMATIONAL ENTERTAINER

Fusing his passion of helping people create better love, with his passion of making people laugh (he was a professional stand up comedian for ten years) Daniel has created several projects (TV, Broadway, Radio) where he delivers his insightful lessons in a entertaining and engaging way.

DANIEL'S BACKGROUND

Amateur To Athlete

Before Daniel was a trainer of Love Athletes, he was himself, a love amateur; meaning no matter what he did, no matter how hard he tried, his love life was always average.  After years of pain and frustration, Daniel eventually saw very clearly the source of his disappointment…the timeless adage “You can’t love somebody, until you love yourself.’

Finding The How

Unfortunately, Daniel realized that while people talk self-love, nobody was really talking about how to actually build that self-love.  So with the courage of a spiritual warrior and the mind of a passionate scientist (he was a mechanical engineer from UC Berkeley) Daniel set off to discover the actual how of building self-love.

Science Of Self-Love

After ten years of experiential and academic research and experimentation, Daniel has built a very precise and clear model of the mechanics of self-love.  This 'Science of Self-Love' he created, gives people a clear and practical understanding of how self-love works, how self-love effects our lives, and how to build self-love on a daily basis.

The Love Gym

His book ‘Love's One Lesson: How One Thing Can Change Everything’ and his online training series ‘Next Level Love’ uses a proprietary process Daniel developed, where Love Athletes can use their lives as an experiential inner workout gym to build strong inner muscles that allow them to love themselves, and others, at the highest level possible.

In over 1100 performances (colleges, churches, companies) throughout 4 continents, Daniel has been using humor to open people up to their potential for love greatness.

LoveLab was a TV reality show Daniel created, that attempted to bring empowering concepts of self-awareness and personal responsibility to mainstream television.

Backed by the producers of 'Book Of Mormon,'  'Live Group Sex Therapy' was a hugely funny one-man-show, that brought clarity and compassion to the battle of the sexes.

Created and hosted by Daniel, FlirtFest is a conscious singles event designed to inspire and encourage people to connect in a way that is more open, authentic and full of F.L.I.R.T.  (Free Love In Real Time).

Steven Halpern is more than just a musician. He is a Renaissance man who is also an author, media spokesperson, seminar leader, pioneering sound healer and entrepreneur who helped create the alternative market for lifestyle-support music outside the traditional music industry. After being initiated into what he has described as a ministry of healing music, Steven was encouraged to scientifically validate the extraordinary effects his music was having on listeners. This became the focus of his graduate studies, and his landmark research exploring the connections between sound, consciousness and healing were the first to employ the more subtle and sophisticated new technologies of brainwave biofeedback and Kirlian (aura) photography.

This research, and his first two books, Tuning the Human Instrument (1977) and Sound Health (Harper & Row, 1985) established him as the pre-eminent spokesperson for the emerging field of sound healing. He was the first in his field to appear on national television, including The Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder. In 1991 he was profiled on CBS-TV's 48 Hours.
