Fresh out of high school, California native Craig Campobasso found himself working behind the scenes for four years on Frank Herbert’s Dune. The father and daughter producing team, Dino and  Raffaella De Laurentiis, and director David Lynch, were Craig’s mentors into the business of filmmaking. Raffaella later hired him on the popular Christmas movie Prancer, starring Sam Elliott, as a casting director after he apprenticed as a casting associate on Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories. Craig has been casting for more than two decades and was nominated for an Emmy for casting David E. Kelly’s Picket Fences. He is also an acting coach in the Los Angeles area.

Craig Campobasso's directorial debut "Stranger at the Pentagon" won Best Sci-Fi Short Film at the Burbank Film Festival in September 2014 and won a Remi award for Best Sc-Fi Short at the Houston Int'l Film Festival in 2015.

ABOUT "Stranger at the Pentagon"...

"Stranger at the Pentagon" is inspired by True Events from the book of the same name. It was first published in 1967. It remains a UFO classic to date.

Valiant Thor, a Created Being and Universal Envoy, met with President Dwight D. Eisenhower on March 16, 1957. This human Angelic came with a divine design for mankind on how to eliminate sickness, disease and poverty. Eisenhower put the enlightened extraterrestrial on VIP status for three years. He lived in a Pentagon apartment three stories underground.

During his tenure, Thor experiences the aggressive government officials who are determined to get the blueprints to his Victor Class saucer, a technological wonder. Thor must also deal with a negative alien race trying to infiltrate Earth under the guise of friendship with the US government. While he circumvents all this, he comes in contact with the Empyrean, the leader of 13 men who make-up the SSS: the Secret Shadow Society--the men who really run the world from behind the corporate curtain. The Empyrean has liaisons across the universe with malevolent beings who have groomed him on how to stop Thor, and gain control of his powers; powers that can create anything at will and transport him anywhere with a mere thought.

Author Dr. Frank E. Stranges first met Commander Valiant Thor in December of 1959.

Guest Biography:

People call me Nanybel.

The following are “tags” that really don’t define who I am:

A Mom to 2 wonderful grown up sons who are my best friends and allies, an accomplished Portraiture Artist, a Certified announcer for radio and TV in Spanish, a certified Translator and Court Interpreter. I’m trilingual, have lived in 4 different countries, in 9 cities, and have traveled extensively around the World.

I’ve been married 4 times to very different men from different countries, religions and upbringings. And have also been divorced 4 times, but still believe in loving, committed relationships and in marriages! (You might think: how can that be possible?)

You see, such tags are just some of the things that I’ve done or achieved…

I am actually a persistent, caring, determined and self-motivated human being; I spent all my life editing myself to suit other people’s needs and expectations, to fit in my “inside-the-box” loving family, school and society’s traditions.

I’ve lived most of my life feeling like a butterfly whose wings were self-crippled, to be able to fly just enough to feel that I was OK, but not so high or long to be criticized or punished.

And my free-spirited me have felt trapped many times; but I’d talked myself into believing that that was the path, my mission, and that was it. I was wrong.

So now I am on a mission to speak up in a super frank, free and unedited way to debunk life and relationship myths, to give you tools you might not have, sharing with you all my life experiences, listening to yours, and do it while having fun!

Guest Biography:

TREVOR GREEN

Spirited, deep, and thought provoking are just a few words to describe the artist known as Trevor Green. His music is something fresh and distinctly new, yet is deeply woven in the spiritual fabric of our ancient ancestors. Surrounded by 5 guitars, 3 didgeridoos, an array of percussion instruments and decorated of symbolic ancestral nature, Green’s stage appears to be a musical playground not for the faint of heart. As a powerful advocate of Native American voice, he was adopted into a Navajo family and will often be graced by the power of Native American grass dancers who will take to the stage creating a mystical and captivating experience.

On the heels of Green’s recent EP ‘Collide,’ comes the latest and most anticipated of his musical offerings. ‘Voice of the Wind,’ Green’s 5th studio album, is a captivating sonic journey exposing the foundational fabric from which his inspiration is born. Traveling the depths of emotion and musical experience, ‘Voice of the Wind’ brings the listener into the haunting mystical realms of songs like “Rainbow Medicine,” to the foot stomping grooves of “Let it Go” and into the celebratory experience of the songs like “Red Road” and the title track “Voice of the Wind.” This record is a culmination of Trevor’s music and spiritual experiences to date and expresses the willingness to invite each listener into his personal journey as a reflection of their own.

“I follow the music where it leads me. Through this process I find the music always comes from an honest place and that is most important in receiving the songs when they come through.” What deepens the music is Trevor’s ability to connect with his audience. Threading together sing-able and uplifting melodies, dynamic instrumentation, heart pounding rhythms and the haunting sounds of the didgeridoo, with his spontaneous improvisational ability, Green’s performance is a one man powerhouse with universal appeal that seems to come from the ground up. With his honest delivery and ability to extricate the music from a deep place of truth, he leads his audience through vast landscapes of sound, weaving together a magnetic and spellbinding performance.

Through Green’s devotion to bring forward the messages of our ancestors and connect deeply with culture, he recently launched a successful crowdfunding campaign that sent him, his wife, two young children and the son of his adopted Navajo brother on a two month journey into the heart of Australia to discover the roots of the aboriginal culture and the story behind the didgeridoo (yidaki), which has been such a fundamental part of the sound scape of his music.

Performing 25 shows across the region and meeting with various wisdom keepers from the indigenous aboriginal cultures, this would prove to be yet another life altering journey of deep magnitude. In seeking a deeper understanding and connection to didgeridoo, he was lead to a far deeper connection with the aboriginal community of Northeast Arnhem Land where he and his family were adopted into the Galpu clan. Given the name “North Wind” by elder Djalu Gurruwiwi, Trevor brings the blessing back to North America where he offers his fifth studio album ‘Voice of the Wind.’

Steelers Takeaways

Player Flashbacks through the Decades

This book approaches the Steelers organization and players in a way no other book has – spanning across seven decades of Steelers players, the book is comprised of personal and on-field stories. Author, Ron Lippock has conducted over 400 interviews with former Steelers – from those that played in the 50’s, through ones that have just recently retired.

These stories and memories are amassed not only from the household names like L.C. Greenwood, Donnie Shell, Antwaan Randle El, Rocky Bleier, and Tommie Maddox, but also from the hundreds of players who fought just to make the practice squad. Their contributions and struggles, successes and failures, all helped to define the Steelers as an organization just as much as the many Hall of Famers.

These players discuss the adversity they faced – the physical impact of the game, the stress of making and keeping one’s position on the team, mentoring younger players even as they sought to take their roster spot, moving from team to team, and more.

Players reveal the humor behind the game and how it affected them – from the jokes teammates played on one another in the locker rooms, meeting rooms, and hotels, to the on-field pranks and antics fans are otherwise not privy to.

Kitten Rescue was founded in the spring of 1997 and has grown to become one of the largest and most respected animal welfare groups in Los Angeles. We are a non-profit, totally volunteer run organization devoted to finding loving new homes for unwanted cats and kittens. Kitten Rescue volunteers place approximately 1,000 cats and kittens into new homes every year. Since its inception, Kitten Rescue has rescued and placed over 10,000 cats into loving homes.

In March 2006, Kitten Rescue realized one of its long-standing dreams when it acquired its very own private, no-kill shelter in Los Angeles. The Kitten Rescue Sanctuary is a shelter and boarding facility that can house up to 150 cats. The Sanctuary has a full-time staff as well as numerous volunteers who provide care, love and socialization for the cats housed there. Ciela was rescued from the streets with her 3 siblings and adopted into loving homes.

The majority of Kitten Rescue's animals live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. Our volunteers care for orphaned or abandoned kittens that need to be bottle fed, moms with litters, cats that need socialization and sick and injured animals. Kitten Rescue takes care of all of its rescued cats' medical needs, and prior to adoption, every cat is spayed/neutered, tested for leukemia and FIV, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas and microchipped.

We also offer education and assistance to the public regarding all aspects of responsible pet ownership, care of kittens and cats, the importance of spaying and neutering, and the proper maintenance and care of feral cat colonies. During "kitten season", volunteers teach bottle feeding classes for people who want to care for unweaned kittens. Kitten Rescue also distributes City of Los Angeles spay/neuter coupons to members of the public.

Kitten Rescue's goal is to help Los Angeles become a no-kill city.

As the country’s leading multi-media celebrity pet lifestyle expert and influencer, SANDY ROBINS documents the wonderful relationship that we have with our pets highlighting trends and innovative ideas as they happen. Many dogs and cats have lifestyles that mirror their pet parents’ own lives. Nothing is too good for our fur kids. Consequently, the pet industry is a 58 billion dollar business – bigger than toys, candy and jewelry combined. Sandy documents this industry every step of the way highlighting how these trends can improve our pet’s general health and well being and enhance our human-animal bond. She is the winner of the Excellence in Journalism and Outstanding Contribution to the Pet Industry Award presented by the American Pet Products Association. She is along-standing member of both the Cat Writers of America and the prestigious Dog Writers of America organizations. Sandy is an avid campaigner for animal shelters and laws that protect animals everywhere. She is a strong advocator of pet adoption. Every pet deserves a loving permanent home and she has been among the first to point out that shelter pets do benefit from the luxurious lifestyles that other pets are lucky enough to enjoy because over-indulgent pet parents are often the first to give donations and organize fund-raising events to help animals that have been abandoned and neglected. Because she often travels internationally, Sandy knows what it hot and happening in other parts of the world too. Of course it goes without saying that she is a besotted pet parent to a menagerie of fur kids at her home in Southern California. The human-animal bond has never been stronger and the benefits of living with pets have never been more evident. Pets Rule!

My favorite saying is, 'Find Your Bliss!' That's what I've been doing as I write my Ocean Depths series. It's fun, like reading one of my favorite novels as it unfolds before me. I want to entertain my intended audience and take them out of their world into the fantasy fiction one I've created. How did the Ocean Depths Series start? I dreamed of Triton. It made me want to do a water color of him and the series began! The Ocean Depths series will continue into five to seven books, and I feel very privileged to write it! All of my art in Ocean Depths A Darkness was from life drawing models - real people and they inspired my story.  The plot in Ocean Depths is dramatic, humorous, conflicted, joyful and adventurous, and my endings are always cliff hangers! How fun! My hope for humanity is that we can find our bliss and be good to one another and our planet along the way no matter what belief systems we adhere too or what governments we live under. Is that simplistic? Yes, but often times the simpler an idea is, the easier it is to implement. Another great saying of mine is, 'What one man can do, so can another.' - the movie, The Edge. Why not? Each of us is our greatest asset. Turn off the TV, set aside the phone and invest in yourself. Take the time to learn and become, the rewards are incredible! As human beings, let's start out on our chosen journey, work hard at it, and along the way we will find our bliss!
