Mr. Hank Whittier is the CEO and Executive Director of Marion County (Florida)'s Veterans Helping Veterans.
Marion County Veterans Helping Veterans, Inc. (Vets Helping Vets) is a 501(c)(3) not-for profit organization serving veterans and their families. The organization was established in 1997 and later incorporated in 2002 to serve veterans and their families in need of assistance. Specifically, our organization works on the following:
- We provide social service contacts to veterans and their families including counseling, referral, advocacy, and direct social service assistance, including food and limited financial assistance for such items such as rent, utilities, special dietary needs.
- We assisted veterans in finding employment, through counseling and networking on their behalf.
- We coordinated with the Marion County School District and legislators to bring veterans into the classroom to educate both staff and students as to the contributions of veterans to America.
- We educate the public and community at large through the media, speaking engagements, workshops, and a weekly radio program informing veterans and their families as to their benefits as well as services available to them through other agencies.
- We utilize approximately 100 volunteers who perform office work, make hospital and home visits and make minor repairs to veterans’ homes, grocery shopping and errands, as well as wellness checks.
- Through a cooperative understanding with a DAV service officer, we educate veterans and their families as to their eligibility for compensation benefits and assist them in processing their claims.
- We’re working with local law enforcement, the courts, public defender and state’s attorney to provide "Marion County Veteran’s Treatment Court".
- We’re working with a variety of social service and civic organizations to bring services and information to veterans and their families. As an example, we’re working with Habitat for Humanity to establish a housing initiative where veterans will be highlighted to participate in the Habitat for Humanity program.
- We’re working with organizations such as the Elks Club, and others to deliver hot meals to homeless and shut-in veterans in Marion County.
- We are partnered with the SummerGlen Veterans Club to provide Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to those veterans and their familes that need it most.

James Clarkson is an Investigator who has stood in two worlds for many years – a career professional investigator in the criminal justice field and as a lifelong researcher of the UFO Mystery. He has been a plainclothes military police investigator, a 20-year career city police officer and fraud investigator who has had many titles: patrol supervisor, detective sergeant, fatal accident team manager and training officer. After retiring with 20 years’ service, he became a child abuse detective and then he completed another decade of service as a fraud investigator for a Washington state agency. Meanwhile, for the last 30 years he has studied the mystery of UFOs with the same attention to detail that he applied to criminal investigations. In 1986 he joined the Mutual UFO Network. Applying the same passion for solving mysteries to the world of High Strangeness, James Clarkson serves as the Washington State Director of MUFON and the Special Assignments Team for MUFON. He has lectured at many UFO events across the country and in Paris as well as appearances on radio and TV. He is the author of TELL MY STORY- June Crain, the Air Force & UFOs as well as the Westport UFO Crash Retrieval Event.
Grant Cameron is the recipient of the Leeds Conference International Researcher of the Year and the UFO Congress Researcher of the Year. He became involved in Ufology as the Vietnam War ended in May 1975 with personal sightings of an UFO type object which locally became known as Charlie Red Star. These sightings led to a decade of research into the early 1950s work done by the Canadian government into the flying saucer phenomena. Cameron became the authority on the Canadian government program and Wilbert B. Smith who headed it up. This led to an investigation of the role in the UFO cover-up by the former President of Penn State University. The results of this research became the book “UFOs, Area 51 and the Government” in 1991. Cameron proceeded to do almost three decades of research into the role of the President of the United States in the UFO mystery. Most of that research can be found at the Presidents UFO Website – and in the recently published book “The Clinton UFO Storybook.” After experiencing a mental download event on February 26, 2012 Cameron turned his research interests away from “nuts and bolts” research to the role of consciousness in the UFO phenomena. This new research has expanded out to the possible involvement of extraterrestrials in modern music, and in the phenomena of inspirations and downloads in science discoveries, inventions, Nobel Prizes, music, art, books, near death experiences, meditation, and with individuals known as savants and prodigies. GANDA BOYS
The Ganda Boys (formerly known as Da Twinz) was formed during 2008 through an exciting collaboration on the highly acclaimed 2009 BBC-TV drama series, MOSES JONES. Forced to flee Uganda in 2001, Denis Mugagga and Daniel Sewagudde acquired refugee status in the UK having endured a relocation process that lasted several years. As young musicians from a turbulent Ugandan homeland they experienced first-hand the hardship of re-establishing their lives in a foreign system, leaving family, friends, and their budding hopes behind. They found strength while meeting many other refugees along their journey and became committed to addressing the current unprecedented flow of over 60 million displaced people from several troubled countries in the world.
UK based Ugandan singers DENIS MUGAGGA and DAN SEWAGUDDE (formerly of Da Twinz fame) have teamed up with UK world musician, arranger, record producer and film composer, CRAIG PRUESS, to form a new and exciting band, the GANDA BOYS.

Margaret Flowers, co-director of Its Our Economy, is a Maryland pediatrician. After graduation from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1990 and completion of pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Flowers worked first as a hospitalist and then in private practice. Cheryl Boyles tells us her story below. In June 2000 I was 33 years old, working as a wildlife biologist in Oregon, married to a wonderful husband for 10 years, and the mother of two amazing sons that were 1 and 3 years old. I was loving life; then overnight my life changed. I began having headaches that felt like my skull was going to explode. An MRI showed my brain was hemorrhaging. I went into surgery and an acorn sized grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) brain tumor was removed. I was told I had less than a year to live.I quit my job, and focused on being a mother and fighting brain cancer. I went through radiation, but chose not to take chemotherapy. The chemo would only add 3 months to my life, but quality of life would be miserable.
I decided to take more of a natural “alternative” approach, trying to boost my own immune system. My good cells outnumbered my bad cancer cells! I started eating organic, following a low carbohydrate diet, exercising, simplifying life and nursing a positive attitude, taking acupuncture, many supplements, cannabis, some “off label” prescriptions (like Metformin), and most of all leaning on God for strength which feeds me with hope.
Over the 16 years fighting the terminal brain cancer, I’ve unfortunately was hit with six recurrences. The fact that I have survived is unbelievable. My doctors even say so. Most people with the GBM die with their first recurrence, which usually happens within the first few years. To fight my recurrences, I mostly focused on my alternative actions, but also continued with some of the standard treatments. I’ve been through six brain craniotomies, 6 week of conformation radiation, over 3 ½ years on the milder chemo called Temodar, and also what is called Gamma Knife radiation.
Taking this approach of combining many alternative and standard treatments, trying to hit the cancer from many angels, has become known at a “cocktail” approach. It seems to be working for me, not that I’m cured, but I’m still alive and loving life. Over the sixteen years I’ve had over 100 MRIs, and it’s great to say that my last MRI was clear, no seen GBM.I have become known in the “brain tumor world” as a long term survivor. Patients and caregivers from around the USA and around the world contact me wanting to know “How do you do it?” So I’ve put together a web page, wrote a book called Life’s Mountains, and made some videos hoping to reach out and encourage others.
Now my husband and I have been married 26 years, growing stronger together. My two boys are now 17 and 20 years old, both wanting to become wildlife biologists like mom and dad. And over the years I’ve been blessed with many things. Seeing life anew, learning to be content regardless of circumstances, enduring through the challenges, and living life in the moment.

Joe Franklin (born Joseph Fortgang; March 9, 1926 – January 24, 2015) was an American radio and television host personality from New York City His show began in January 1951 on WJZ-TV (later WABC-TV) and moved to WOR-TV (later WWOR-TV) from 1962 to 1993
Born in the Bronx, Joe was a true New Yorker. As a teenager, Franklin “ followed around” Al Jolson and Eddie Cantor, the latter of whom eventually began buying jokes from the young Franklin and whose Carnegie Hall show he later produced.
At 14, Franklin began writing skits for The Kate Smith Hour and at 16, Franklin officially began his entertainment career as a record picker on radio sensation Martin Block’s Make Believe Ballroom where he became known as "The Young Wreck with the Old Records.” He was considered to be an authority on popular culture of the first half of the 20th century, including silent films. He was called "The King of Nostalgia" and "The Wizard of Was" for focusing on old-time show-business personalities. Franklin was also a pioneer in promoting products such as Hoffman Beverages and Canada Dry ginger ale on the air. A&E's documentary It's Only Talk, The Real Story Of America's Talk Shows credits Franklin as the creator of the television talk show. Franklin was listed in the Guinness World Records as the longest running continuous on-air TV talk show host, more than a decade longer than Johnny Carson’s run.

After retiring from his television show, Franklin concentrated on his overnight radio show, playing old records on WOR-AM on Saturday evenings and mentoring thousands of aspiring entertainers who for decades sought an audience with him at his notoriously cluttered Times Square office. Franklin's celebrity interviews, known as "Nostalgia Moments", appeared daily on the Bloomberg Radio Network until mid-January 2015, shortly before his death. Richie and I (Elizabeth Joyce) would join Joe on New Year's Eve on WOR_Radio in NY City - around the corner from where Dick Clark was dropping the ball on Times Square. We would reminisce about American Bandstand and The Joe Franklin Show - the singers and stars - and play oldies.

Anaiis Salles is the author of the forthcoming book, 'Living Lessons Library' in which she shares the personal and universal lessons that are key to her bliss awakening and lifelong spiritual journey.
Born with access to soul memory, from childhood on, Anaiis experienced siddhis, or awakening gifts described in Eastern traditions. Her spiritual journey has been and remains inner directed, and directly experienced as living lessons. She has made the transition to 5D and living on Earth 2.0.
Anaiis is a way-shower, primarily on the cutting edge of energy healing without the use of hardware or technology. The physical results of her healing exchanges have been medically verified. In 1991, while in Moscow, Russia, Anaiis initiated an internship-collaboration with physicians and their seriously ill patients. Highlights of this first trip to Moscow are shared in a documentary about the value of hands-on healing with critically burned individuals and children with cancer.
Anaiis facilitated workshops, retreats and taught small groups in the United States and internationally, training hands-on healers through a two year certification curriculum. Anaiis' mission is to guide others toward discovering and living through the magnificent essence, discovering the unique meaning, and powerfully loving co-creative capacity that is each individual life.
