VALERIE HEATH

“…military veterans need the most help to heal physically and emotionally”

For 20 years, I worked with military groups such as the Veterans Assistance Network as a sales consultant for computer products and phone equipment. During this time, I became aware that military veterans need the most help to heal physically and emotionally and I was gripped by a determination to do something meaningful for them.

With my background and experience using holistic, non-invasive techniques to heal illness, I founded Heaven & Earth Oasis, a nonprofit 501 (c) (3). The organization is dedicated to healing military personnel by applying an array of established alternative and complementary methods of treatment that work. Many of the methods we employ, such as Reiki, are now successfully incorporated by military organizations to help heal war veterans diagnosed with combat-related illnesses such as post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

I was diagnosed with a slow-growing pituitary tumor in 2005. Doctors offered two options: try to shrink it with medicine or undergo a dangerous operation. Medications did not shrink the tumor so I researched the best brain surgeons in the country and chose one in Los Angeles. The surgery was successful but not without complications. My lungs collapsed and, similar to symptoms of pneumonia, breathing became very difficult.

I searched and found a professional who could clear the energy in my solar plexus to help me breath comfortably. He was a Reiki Master in Ojai, California who also trained me to use Reiki on myself with excellent results. The inflammation in my solar plexus subsided then disappeared. I was breathing normally and now my lungs are clear.

After undergoing this physical transformation, in 2006 I became a certified Reiki Master. I have since become an energy healer trained and certified in several other therapies (Please see What We Do page).

My business partner, Chantal Benedict, is a professional practitioner in other healing arts (see bio). Over the years, we have helped hundreds of clients transition from a state of pain to recovery. We develop customized protocols that treat a variety of diseases: chronic headaches, fibromyalgia, scoliosis, gall stones even cancers. Alternative therapies prescribed for recovery may include diet and exercise programs and herbal supplements as well.

We have been treating military personnel free of charge with remarkable results not attained by traditional medicine alone. Heaven & Earth Oasis requires funding assistance to continue the work of healing wounded warriors holistically in a gentle, peaceful setting.

Part Two

Reincarnation - New Discoveries

My Past Life Therapist, Bryan Jameison died in the year 2002 after having written four books on the subject of Reincarnation.

In the spring of 2013 I was rereading Guide Lights – Attune to Your Angels and Spirit Guides will to re-familiarize myself with it. As I reached the chapter on Reincarnation I felt a strong presence accompanied by a flash of light to indicate a Spirit visitor was with me. Bryan announced his presence and expressed his pleasure at being included in the book. In this first visit it was established that he was to be my new guide on the subject of Earthbound Spirit Entity Attachments and their troubled involvement with humans that would develop over the next few years. I was thrilled and honored to have his presence guiding me.

Bryan's, Spirit name is Dorgeck meaning 'Thunderstorm of Healing'. Before he passed from earth he accomplished Ascension and is now an Ascended Master, a very wise and charismatic teacher. He had learned much in the Universities of the Spirit realms since his death. His specialty of study was reincarnation and lost soul entity attachments. He had developed further expertise in these areas and had some jolting revelations that would unfold over the next two years as I became ready to learn deeper truths. It was during this period that I began working on development of my second book that Dorgeck co-authored: Soul Freedom Vol 1 - Healing from Earthbound Spirit Attachment and Haunting - Causes Symptoms and Solution.

Guest Occupation: Author, Spiritual Counselor, and Sacred Activist
Guest Biography:

Andrew Harvey is Founder Director of the  Institute of Sacred Activism, an international organization focused on inviting concerned people to take up the challenge of our contemporary global crises by becoming inspired, effective, and practical agents of institutional and systemic change, in order to create peace and sustainability. Sacred Activism is a transforming force of compassion-in-action that is born of a fusion of deep spiritual knowledge, courage, love, and passion, with wise radical action in the world. The large-scale practice of Sacred Activism can become an essential force for preserving and healing the planet and its inhabitants.

Andrew was born in south India in 1952, where he lived until he was nine years old. It is this early period that he credits with shaping his sense of the inner unity of all religions and providing him with a permanent and inspiring vision of a world infused with the sacred. He left India to attend private school in England and entered Oxford University in 1970 with a scholarship to study history. At the age of 21, he became the youngest person ever to be awarded a fellowship to All Soul’s College, England’s highest academic honor.

By 1977, Harvey had become disillusioned with life at Oxford and returned to his native India, where a series of mystical experiences initiated his spiritual journey. Over the next thirty years he plunged into different mystical traditions to learn their secrets and practices. In 1978 he met a succession of Indian saints and sages and began his long study and practice of Hinduism. In 1983, in Ladakh, he met the great Tibetan adept, Thuksey Rinpoche, and undertook with him the Mahayana Buddhist Bodhisattva vows. Andrew’s book about that experience, Journey in Ladakh, won the Christmas Humphries Award.

In 1984, Andrew Harvey began a life-long exploration and explication of Rumi and Sufi mysticism in Paris with a group of French Sufis and under the guidance of Eva De Vitray-Meyerovitch, the magnificent translator of Rumi into French. Andrew has written three books on that subject: The Way of Passion, The Celebration of Rumi and Perfume of the Desert, an anthology of Sufi mysticism. With Llewellyn Baughn Lee, he founded the Sufi Conferences, which have played a prominent role in uniting Sufis of all persuasions during the past six years. He has close connections with great Sufi teachers in America, Africa, India and Pakistan, and a very clear, comprehensive grasp of the state of modern Sufism in both the west and the east.

In 1990, he collaborated with Sogyal Rinpoche and Patrick Gaffney in the writing of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. In 1992, he met Father Bede Griffiths in his ashram in south India near where Andrew had been born. It was this meeting that helped him synthesize the whole of his mystical explorations and reconcile eastern with western mysticism.

Andrew has since lived in London, Paris, New York, and San Francisco, and has continued to study a variety of religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity. He has written and edited over 30 books. Other honors he has received include the Benjamin Franklin Award and the Mind Body Spirit Award (both for Mary’s Vineyard: Daily Readings, Meditations, and Revelations). Among Harvey’s other well-known titles are: Dialogues with a Modern Mystic, Hidden Journey, The Essential Mystics, Son of Man, The Return of the Mother and The Direct Path.

KING JAMES (JAMES GOLDING)

“As a kid I remember there was nothing inside my father’s store that did not glitter. The jeans, the shirts, the walls and the people. Silver lights and music played continuously, and there was no telling what stars popped in for his sexy jeans, which fit like a second skin.”

My father is Peter Golding AKA “the Eric Clapton of denim”, the fashion designer, beat traveler and musician who created the ‘stretch denim jean” back in the 1970’s.

His clothing store ACE on London’s King’s Road was described at the time as the “hottest store in the world” and dressed a generation of rock stars, actors, lords, punks and ultra glamorous models. Kings Road was city slick and chic, with cutting edge music, art and fashion heritage. It was the heart of the British rock and punk explosion and later 80’s new wave romantic expression.

KINGS ROAD

“Growing up in this influential backdrop it was inevitable that I would grab an electric guitar and start my adventures in rock music.”

I soon found myself singing and playing guitar at Ace Chelsea house jams, parties and later at venues with childhood heroes such as Robert Plant, Steve Marriott and Taj Mahal.

Embracing new challenges In the 90’s I started working with “Absolutely Fabulous” PR guru Lynne Franks promoting top designers at the height of British fashion explosion like Jean Paul Gaultier, Katharine Hamnett and John Richmond.

In a fast moving 21st century creative whirlwind, I was recording albums, managing live music programmes at the legendary Café de Paris with the late Prince, Van Morrison and Led Zeppelin’s Page and Plant and party like there was no tomorrow.

Everything was spiraling out of control and the more I was biting into life the more it was escaping me. I had to stop.

CALIFORNIA

“I packed my bags left London and arrived with just a suitcase of dreams my vintage Gibson Les Paul and an old golden silk scarf. Although ripped and torn the scarf was a treasure piece crystallizing the essence of my life heritage and experiences from days gone by.”

During a break from recording an album in London I visited my mother in LA and immediately felt an irrepressible desire to find myself again in the pan pacific Californian landscape.

I became known as “The guy with the golden scarf”. And that’s exactly where I started again.

To “Live Regally” is to reach that reservoir of grace and courage that lies in the depths of our hearts. As we try to find our equilibrium on the tightrope of these tumultuous times it may be the compass that determines whether we get through to the other side in one piece or fall miserably into the abyss.

Guest Biography:

Ray McGovern leads the “Speaking Truth to Power” section of Tell the Word, a publishing arm of the ecumenical Church of the Saviour in inner-city Washington.  A former co-director of the Servant Leadership School (1998-2004), he has been teaching there for more than 20 years.  His current course is: “On the Morality of Whistleblowing”

Ray came from his native Bronx to Washington in the early Sixties as an Army infantry/intelligence officer and then served as a CIA analyst for 27 years, from the administration of John F. Kennedy to that of George H. W. Bush. Ray’s duties included chairing National Intelligence Estimates and preparing the President’s Daily Brief, which he briefed one-on-one to President Ronald Reagan’s five most senior national security advisers from 1981 to 1985.

In January 2003, Ray helped create Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) to expose the way intelligence was being falsified to “justify” war on Iraq. On the afternoon of the day (Feb. 5, 2003) Secretary of State Colin Powell misled the UN Security Council on Iraq, VIPS sent a blunt memorandum to President George W. Bush, in which VIPS gave Powell a C-minus for content. VIPS ended the memo with this:

“No one has a corner on the truth; nor do we harbor illusions that our analysis is irrefutable or undeniable [as Powell had claimed his was]. But after watching Secretary Powell today, we are convinced that you would be well served if you widened the discussion beyond … the circle of those advisers clearly bent on a war for which we see no compelling reason and from which we believe the unintended consequences are likely to be catastrophic.”

On July 20, 2002, CIA Director George Tenet had told his British counterpart that the “intelligence and facts were being ‘fixed’ around the policy of ‘regime change’ in Iraq.”  On June 5, 2008, Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Jay Rockefeller, announced the main conclusion of a five-year study by his committee, saying, “In making the case for war, the administration repeatedly presented intelligence as fact when it was unsubstantiated, contradicted or even nonexistent.”  In sum, the “intelligence” was not mistaken; it was fraudulent.

As an act of conscience, on March 2, 2006 Ray returned the Intelligence Commendation Medallion given him at retirement for “especially meritorious service,” explaining, “I do not want to be associated, however remotely, with an agency engaged in torture.”  He returned the medallion to Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R, Michigan), then-Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.

Hoekstra added to the Intelligence Authorization Act for FY’07 (HR5020) a provision enabling the government to strip intelligence veterans of their government pensions.  HR5020 passed the full House, but Congress opted instead for a continuing resolution.  Ray was thus spared from having to go back to driving part-time for Red Top Cab.

On December 11, 2014, Ray had an opportunity to tell Hoekstra exactly what he thought of Hoekstra’s Lone-Ranger attempt (he did not inform his House Intelligence Committee colleagues) to make it possible to revoke the government pensions of people like Ray.  He confronted the former Congressman off-air, after the two were interviewed live on CCTV’s “The Heat” about the Senate Intelligence Committee findings released on December 9, 2014 regarding CIA torture.  The interview itself offered Ray a unique chance to hold Hoekstra publicly accountable for condoning torture.  And the Michigan congressman rose to the occasion. On the early afternoon of May 4, 2006, in Atlanta, Ray confronted Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld on live TV with pointed questions like: “Why did you lie to get us into a war that was not necessary and that has caused these kinds of casualties?”

The impromptu, four-minute mini-debate that followed is still receiving hits on YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1FTmuhynaw. Accused by TV pundits that evening of “following the Secretary of Defense all the way down to Atlanta,” Ray explained that he had gotten to Atlanta first – to receive, that same evening, the ACLU’s National Civil Liberties Award (won the previous year by Coretta Scott King).

Ray’s opinion pieces have appeared in many leading newspapers and other publications in the U.S. and abroad.

Ray still serves on the Steering Group of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity.

He has debated twice at the Oxford Forum, most recently in Jan. 2013, when he chose to take a lighter tone in trying to explain why it is still possible to dream the American dream.

Ray has appeared on The Newshour, C-Span’s Washington Journal, CNN, BBC, a number of domestic Russian TV channels, Aljazeera, RT, PressTV, CCTV and many other TV & radio programs and documentaries. Ray’s favorite gig was debating Iraq with yellow-cake-aluminum connoisseur and ex-CIA Director James Woolsey on Charlie Rose on Aug. 20, 2004. (See minute 17:48 when Woolsey plays the “anti-Semitic” card against Ray.)

Ray was in NYC with film-maker Robert Greenwald for the debut of his full-length documentary, Uncovered: The Whole Truth About the Iraq War. Ray is often on the road, giving talks and interviews to a wide variety of audiences in the U.S. and abroad.

His B.A. and M.A. degrees – both from Fordham University – are in Russian history, language, and literature, with minor concentrations in theology and philosophy.  He also holds a Certificate in Theological Studies from Georgetown University and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.

A Catholic, Ray has been worshipping for many years with the ecumenical Church of the Saviour.  He has been invited to lecture at various interfaith and ecumenical events around the U.S., and has preached during services at a number of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues.

Ray is particularly fond of the “substitute teaching” he has been invited to do at local universities and colleges.  At George Washington University, though, he quickly wore out his welcome when he stood silently with his back turned toward then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  He was seized and badly beaten directly in front of Clinton while she spoke eloquently about the need for freedom of expression – in Iran. https://www.democracynow.org/2011/2/18/ex_cia_analyst_ray_mcgovern_beaten

Ray is fluent in Russian, German, and Spanish.  He and his wife have been married for 55 years; they have five children and nine grandchildren.
