TORI JONES

The Mermaid | WEB DEVELOPMENT

One thing is very clear, websites are my passion.  I look after them as if they were my children. I have always been naturally drawn to computers and have a solid 20+ years of experience in the technology field.  I am in a constant state of learning to stay current with technology and I love it!   On the flip side, I am an artist.  I have a natural desire to create and design every day.  Couple the two together and wa-la: Web Design. When I created Web Design Island, I wanted to build a unique company that did not compare to other Web Design companies.  Basically, I wanted what I wanted.  I quickly learned the horrors others had experienced from past web designers so I wanted solutions. First, no one could ever find their web designer down the road, so I created a life service.  This way you could always reach your web designer, and your website is always looked after and updated.   Second, websites are such a necessity these days (even replacing brick and mortar buildings) making them a huge investment to get it done right.  Therefore, a la carte pricing was invented.  You have the ability to purchase web pages and products individually AND all the pricing is listed directly on our website - just straight forward pricing. Lastly.  If getting a website designed is not intimidating enough, now-a-days you have to have Search Engine Optimization, Social Media, compelling Web Copy, professional Photos, etc., etc.  People are scrambling trying to find the graphic designer that has their logo, or can’t decide how to choose an SEO company, or doesn’t know if their company Facebook page is set up correctly.  Web Design Island is truly a One-Stop-Shop.  We have carefully selected experts in their field.  Everything you need, all in one place. If you are tired of trying to keep track of your online marketing, and have everything spread out all over the place, Web Design Island is exactly right for you.  We are committed to your success.

Guest Occupation: Intuitive and Healer
Guest Biography:

Mas Sajady is a Healer and has always been intuitively gifted. Like many others, he tried to hide or ignore his highly intuitive nature so he could “fit in”.  It is for this reason Mas has always strongly advised parents to support children who have similar affinities. It literally took Mas two near death experiences to awaken and embrace his abilities.

His first near death experience was in his early twenties. Aside from the crushed jaw and torqued neck, it was the best experience he has ever had.

"The beauty, peace and love present during this experience can never compare to anything we have on earth at this physical level”, says Mas.  After this experience, his intuitive abilities were heightened and he was able to sense future events and the internal issues of others.

Mas' intuitive abilities were then pushed aside as his family life took over.  His children and his successful web development business took center stage during this time of his life.

His second near death experience occurred in 2006.  This was his second best life experience. This second near death experience opened Mas to even higher levels of awareness where miracles can and do happen.

To clarify, Mas does not have the power to heal; rather he acts as the “conduit” for pure energy to manifest this healing from a higher energy field. These fundamental shifts can impact anyone's physical, emotional, financial or spiritual health, and all areas of relationships, creating 360° of Abundance.

Although his abilities have been compared to religious figures, a healing with Mas has no religious significance.  It is spiritual in nature. It is for this reason that Mas’ diverse community consists of clients of all faiths and beliefs.

Mas began studying similar near death experiences in order to understand the incredible shift he was undergoing. The closest explanation he found was in the field of Quantum Physics.

The most important lessons come to him through meditations where, since his crossovers, these meditations have become even more vivid; he enters a dream-like state but wide awake and aware of his surroundings. At times he transcends his physical body and from these meditations gains knowledge on a multitude of subjects, including spiritual and earthly matters. Over time his healing abilities have been magnified and sessions have been condensed, generating significant shifts at the core level.

He started working on clients professionally in November of 2009. Within less than a year, he had worked on over a thousand individuals who were drawn to  him by referral. Through his daily mediation sessions and frequent speaking engagements worldwide, Mas has been able to touch countless individuals around the world. Whether it is physical or emotional health, finances, relationships or spirituality, Mas can change your frequency in order to Be Limitless & enjoy 360° of Abundance in all aspects of your life.

After his second near death experience, Mas Sajady was gifted with intuitive and healing abilities so remarkably potent that he was soon likened to some of the most significant healers in history. Mas works on the core frequency level to help redesign and reprogram your blueprint, materializing fast and tangible results and manifesting abundance in all areas of life. Thousands around the world have transformed their lives after just one or a few sessions with Mas.  "Change your frequency, change your life,"  shares Mas.

Guest Biography:

Bernice Yoder, is a 9 year pancreatic cancer survivor. Berenice says: I will be a nine year pancreatic cancer survivor this coming November. When I found out I had cancer, I had no idea what pancreatic cancer was. It had never touched my immediate or extended family. It was something you heard of or read about, not something that happened to you.

This illness changed my life. It gave me more will to live, to be able to finish raising my then 13-year-old daughter who had just lost her dad 15 months before. It taught me to fight, and to never give up. There is always hope even through the pain and grief and anger that is part of this terrible illness. I am proud to say I am a survivor of one of the deadliest cancers

Cancer fighters that can no longer take chemo or choose not to are in dire need of accurate information and guidance. We have and will continue to research topics of interest and ensure credibility of sources. We help put patients in contact with proper practitioners in their area and locate services for them that may benefit their treatment. Guest Biography:

This is my story, my spiritual journey and why I am here to serve. I spent over 30 years in the Technology field as a Software Engineer and IT Professional. I have been thinking that there must be more to enjoying life than sitting behind a desk and computer all day long. Personal happiness, joy and stress free living is my goal.

I have been studying Science of the Mind for over 25 years and continue to read and study many metaphysical and self-help books in an attempt to figure out who and what I truly am. I always try to keep an open mind about every topic of conversation and always treat people the way that I want to be treated, with love, respect, kindness and caring. I found that if I follow my intuition (that little feeling or voice inside) it is always right and if I didn't there is always a consequence, whether it be good or bad.

Coming from a scientific background I have always been analytical and have to know the details of how everything works. I have learned about the various religions, psychic abilities, scientific theories, art and music and realize that none of these things are separate. I have learned about belief systems and how every individual has one. I learned that there is a common element to everything in my world and it is ENERGY! It is everywhere and in everything! At times it is difficult to understand and wrap my mind around the concept.

I believe that we are energy beings or spirit and we create our own worlds by our belief systems. When I think with focus and intent, I manifest that experience, whether it be positive or negative. I am learning to be aware of what I'm thinking so that I don't create negative experiences. I have created UEM to provide YOU with healing modalities such as massage, reiki, sound, vibration and gemstone therapies to assist you in stress relief by using these methods to calm your nervous system, relax your tense muscles and cleanse and re-align your energy fields in an attempt to return your physical body to optimal performance.

Won't you join me in relaxing, renewing and enjoying our physical existence here on Mother Earth?

Guest Biography:

THE RAY SHASHO SHOW WELCOMES EWAN CURRIE

GUITARIST, LEAD SINGER AND SONGWRITER FOR THE SHEEPDOGS

Trends come and go, styles fall in and out of fashion, but The Sheepdogs remain steadfast in their commitment to rock n’ roll excellence. Since their inception, the band has always sought to play the kind of music they themselves love: “Pure, simple, good-time music,” as singer/guitarist Ewan Currie puts it. It’s no surprise, then, that the band’s fifth LP, Future Nostalgia, is firmly rooted in the rock tradition that listeners have come to expect from the boys.

The idea was simple: find a nice, quiet, secluded place and make a record packed with all the hot guitar licks and sing-along choruses they could muster. So the band holed up in a rented house in the remote, idyllic setting of Stony Lake, Ontario, and set about creating a studio where they could work all hours of the day. “We wanted to cut out all the noise and get back to a place where we could just fully immerse ourselves in music,” says Currie, who took on production duties for the album. “We worked hard, but we also made sure to keep it loose and have ourselves a good time.”

Future Nostalgia is the middle ground between the JUNO-winning, platinum-certified Learn & Burn, which spawned the rock radio staple “I Don’t Know,” and its equally successful follow-up, 2012’s The Sheepdogs, featuring the instantly-recognizable, Gold-certified singles “Feeling Good” and “The Way It Is.”

The former was recorded by Currie and the band in their hometown of Saskatoon before they were propelled to fame as the first unsigned band to grace the cover of Rolling Stone, pressure free and at their own pace. Its follow-up, however, recorded in Nashville with producer and Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney, was a much more formal and rigid studio experience. This time, the band aimed to combine the successes and lessons learned from these opposite ends of the recording spectrum.

Future Nostalgia builds upon The Sheepdogs’ foundation of feel-good vocal harmonizing and nasty guitar jamming. “Our musical journey has been about trying to find how we sound our best,” states Currie, and the album represents the pinnacle of their progress thus far. That’s made immediately clear from the opening riff of “Downtown,” an undeniable straight-up rocker that sparkles with the warmth of summer. Down at the other end of the street is “Bad Lieutenant,” which walks a dark and sexy strut courtesy of bassist Ryan Gullen and drummer Sam Corbett, who also tear up the furious “I Really Wanna Be Your Man.”

Newcomers Rusty Matyas and Ewan’s brother Shamus Currie, on guitar and keys respectively, bring a new spirit to the wistful back porch vibes of “Same Old Feeling” or the brooding melancholy of “Jim Gordon.” Elsewhere, the ominous groove of “Help Us All” calls to mind the bleak violence of Blood Meridian as sung by Sly & the Family Stone, punctuated by a devastating trombone solo from Shamus.

Now, The Sheepdogs are eager to embark on the next leg of their journey, which will involve many miles logged and stages played. “I’m excited for people to hear the album, because it’s a labour of love,” Currie says proudly. “Now, it’s just about getting it out there and getting people into it.”

From their cramped Saskatchewan jam space to gold and platinum records and shows with rock icons, The Sheepdogs haven’t strayed from their goal of sharing pure, passionate rock n’ roll with anyone who’ll listen – and Future Nostalgia is packed with it.

THE SHEEPDOGS have announced the release of the highly anticipated follow-up to their 2012 award-winning self-titled LP. FUTURE NOSTALGIA arrived everywhere on October 2nd, 2015 via Warner Music. Produced by lead vocalist and songwriter Ewan Currie alongside engineer Matt Ross-Spang (former engineer at Memphis’ Sun Studios) the 18 freshly-minted tracks on Future Nostalgia were recorded in the quiet and idyllic setting of Stony Lake, Ontario, a conscientious choice by the band to ensure they kept all distractions at bay and the recording process as natural as possible. The band, comprised of Currie, Ryan Gullen (bass/vox), Sam Corbett (drums/vox), Shamus Currie (keys/horns) and Rusty Matyas (guitar/vox), set up camp up for several weeks in a rented house in the remote country where they trucked in equipment to build a studio in order to record their latest effort.  Says Currie “We worked from morning ‘til night, but we kept it loose, had a real good time, and came away with a rock n’ roll record”.

The latest record has many flavours showcasing the band’s creative license when left to their own devices ranging from the catchy, signature-sounding single “Downtown” to the introspective and soulful groove of “Bad Lieutenant” to “Help Us All”, a fresh take on a vintage vibe featuring a trombone solo from Ewan’s brother Shamus. Another highlight is the laid back, good-time, backyard jam “Same Old Feeling”, as well as the closing 6 tracks which flow one into the other to create a cohesive medley, much like the band did on their 2010 LP Learn and Burn.

Formed in Saskatoon in 2006, The Sheepdogs have received widespread acclaim for their bold and beautiful take on classic guitar rock, evinced on three self-funded, independently released albums.  The band’s hard work, determination and impressive chops have earned them a fervent fan following, leading to the accumulation of various achievements and awards including four JUNO awards, seven JUNO nominations, Gold certification for The Sheepdogs and Platinum certification for Learn and Burn. The band’s 2012 self-titled LP debuted at #1 on the Top 200 SoundScan Chart, and garnered three #1 singles at Rock Radio including Gold certified tracks “Feeling Good” and “The Way It Is”. As impassioned on stage as they are on record, The Sheepdogs have spent much of their musical lifetime on the road playing innumerable headline shows and festival appearances worldwide.

EMMETT SKYY

In Hebrew, his name means TRUTH. To the world, he offers to share, evolve and develop in his truth with the hope of inspiring all of us to focus on the art of giving and receiving love.

Emmett Skyy, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was born into a family of soul singers and storytellers. Performing since the age of 3 in the gospel/soul world, he knew in his heart that he could not thrive and develop as an artist solely in this genre. Feeling limited in his environment prompted a move to Los Angeles, where he could reinvent and pursue his dream of creating music/art specific to his own identity.

Upon his arrival to L.A., Emmett spent several months walking the streets, living in his car and couch surfing. It was during this time, that he began to understand and embrace his truth, which prompted the formulation of the themes that have become the basis for his creativity and purpose.

Honing his musical style and sound, he has collaborated most recently with producer / songwriters, Chris Seefried, Jeff Trott and Louise Goffin. Emmett’s music does not fit into one genre but rather is a reflection of his widely diverse musical palate, drawing inspiration from artists like The Beatles, Marvin Gaye, Radiohead, Johnny Cash, Alabama Shakes, and John Mayer among others.

In consort with his music, he has begun designing a line of jewelry, clothing and accessories. In both music and fashion, Emmett’s hope and sensibilities are to create art that will one day be considered unique to his own identity and not be compared to anyone else.

EVOLUTION 101 with host Edward Jones...

Edward Jones is what you might call an ordinary man although he insists he is not a man, as the word man is a label attached to the male of the species. He says, “If you declare yourself a man, then you’ll have more labels attached such as a real man or a  real good man or an upstanding man or a dozen other labels, and then you’re lost in the trap of labels, of words. All these labels colour your perception and you will end seeing not the real person but an image of your own thinking, and this is the illusion we live in.”

So, if you are to meet Edward and call him a man, the first thing he will tell you is that he is not a man. Edward is meticulous with the words he speaks because this is a world trapped in words, and the words we use create the manner in which we create our lives.

Edward experienced a life altering event at the age of 36 which he later came to call a transformation in which he says he died. Everything he had been–a son, a husband, a businessman–collapsed at his feet in complete failure. It was the death of everything he had been in his life. Unlike others who have had and speak of a transformation, Edward hand no idea of what happened to him during his four hour death experience. He’d had never delved into mysticism or any kind of Eastern thought, but what he experienced was exactly what millions have searched for millennia . Edward calls it ecstasy–living with a new consciousness, one void of violence, stress, fear, and worry, one that is free.

In facing all his failures without excuse or reason and with truth, he came upon the source of all things. Because he had no previous knowledge of what had happened to him, he realized that he was the source of what had become. “There is a new consciousness born on the planet and it is available to you now.” Edward relates this message in workshops, meetings, business, online forums and to all who come into contact with him. Edward carries this one message in his daily life: “There is no love on the planet, and that is good news because in realizing that, we can dispose of what we have been calling love, which is not love at all, and create the possibility of bringing forth Love, Truth, Intelligence and Creation to our war-laden manner of existing on this earth.”

Edward in his talks recorded in his books, tells the one thing he did that brought him face to face with himself and the events that lead up to his transformation. Transformation is a possibility for everyone living on this planet, and it can be brought about by what he says is a “method that is not a method,” for it is something we use in our everyday lives–our language. We are creating our lives with the words we speak.

Edward’s books are not exactly fodder for the lazy mind or one which is seeking success, money, stature, or security in this insane world. They are for the ones who care for a transformation of self, internal peace, and world peace for the planet.  They are “where the rubber hits the road.”

How My Death Revealed The Secret To Life, An Autobiography

On November 19, 1979, leaving a life of failures behind him, Edward Jones experienced a transformation which completely revolutionized the way he perceived reality. Edward’s former life of misery was now one of exquisite vibrancy. Pain lost its sting; fear no longer ruled his life. Every moment unfolded its potential as a wellspring of delight. He was permanently and irrevocably altered. The change was so complete, so profound, that afterward Edward could only say that he had died. Out of that death, a new consciousness was born. He sees and speaks of a world void of violence and suffering, and assists others in seeing the possibility of transformation within themselves and the world via online webinars, workshops, radio programs, Internet discussion rooms, videos, personal coaching as well as other books he has written. This book is his recounting of his personal journey to, and through, his self-transformation.

Create Creation – The Manner in Which Words Create our Lives

This book will present to you things you can do to catch yourself in the moment of truth as you are being it. It may be your anger, your fear, your manipulations, your sorrow, your worries or a dozen of feelings you bring forth every day. That is where your truth lies. It is hidden behind all of your feelings and attachments. This may not be an easy thing to do, unveiling the truth of yourself, as much of it is ugly, but it is the liberating feature that speaking the truth of self brings to you. Mark Twain declared, “If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” Speaking the truth frees the mind to live in the moment because you’re not using all your energy to remember and live the lie. Truth is a living, vibrant thing. It lives and dies every second. Lies do not die until the truth of them is spoken.

Raising Sane – Is It Possible To Raise A Sane Child In An Insane World

Children are born pristine, and as they grow, they see us and what we do which conditions them the same as we were conditioned. If we loved our children, we would not prepare our children for the world. We would prepare the world for our children and ourselves. Within the pages of this book, you will discover the energy of linguistics when truth is spoken and that we are creating our lives from the words we speak. We have been creating a negative existence with the beliefs and lies we pass down to our children which have been passed down to us and to each generation for thousands of years. In discovering what you can do to raise a sane child, you will also discover what to do to raise the child in you. Our present behavior on this planet shows we are all acting as angry children having a temper tantrum. Within the relationship with ourselves and our children, we can transform the world into a safe and sane place to live.

Self Transformation – A New You

From his talks and workshops with others, Edward Jones speaks from the source of the new consciousness. He outlines the action needed to bring forth the first psychological evolution of the human mind. Our present consciousness is responsible for the destruction of our world. The ending of violence begins with a transformation of self, bringing forth a new you and a new world.

A New Consciousness Born – You are the Source

A hard-hitting, non-fiction book which addresses every aspect of our lives; it shows us the manner in which we are trapped in our thinking processes. The book is transcribed from live conversations with Phillip LeRoy and others. With this book’s formatting, you can be drawn into and become part of the conversation. The new consciousness that Edward speaks of is violence free, and he takes a step-by-step, simple approach that points to what we can do to bring forth peace into our lives and onto the planet.
