Elizabeth Waterman is a Los Angeles-based fine art photographer.  A through-line in her body of work is the depiction of artists and performers of many genres and sub-cultures. Her distinctive photographs explore female sexuality, strippers and exotic dancers, drag queens, adult film actors, and portraits of artists. Her sold-out book MONEYGAME (XYZ books, 2021) features photographs of strippers from five cities across the U.S. (MONEYGAME II is in the works, scheduled for 2025). It has had exhibitions in the U.S. and Europe. Waterman’s new book, CANDYLAND – featuring color splashed portraits of female adult film actors shot outdoors during the pandemic, as well as a foreword by Stormy Daniels – was released by Unicorn Publishing  on September 30, 2024.

Recently, Waterman has spent significant time in Thailand photographing “ladyboys” and women working in nightlife. She continues to photograph these subjects, and the images will comprise another book, MONEYGAME Thailand, to be published in late 2026. Also in the works are several TV projects, including MONEYGAME Thailand, a docu-follow series on Ladyboys working in nightlife in Thailand, and a show on the subculture of carnival performers in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Additionally, Waterman is working on a new series featuring diptychs of richly cross-processed colored images of dancers, to be shown at Anderson Yezerski gallery in Boston in 2026.

Greetings!

My name is Justin L. Shaw, and I just finished the publication process of my first book Sourcery 101: 13 Rungs to a Higher Elevation of Consciousness.  The misspelling of sorcery is purposeful because becoming a Sourcerer is not about casting spells, it is about using Source energy to heal trauma and manifest a thriving new life.   I can best describe my book as: The Four Agreements meets The Secret meets A Million Little Pieces if it were written by Jerry Seinfeld. 

My backstory is weaved together with lots of humor, pop culture metaphors, and insight to create a unique system of healing that was inspired by the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.  However, unlike AA, the 13 rungs of Sourcery do not discriminate between the symptoms of soul sickness.  A Sourcerer recognizes that the overuse of our phones and a hyper focus on the material world can be just as destructive to the soul as drugs and alcohol. Each specific symptom, such as addictions to gambling, food, shopping, sex, drugs, etc., as well as most forms of what is referred to as “chronic illness,” all branch out from the same root cause: spiritual bankruptcy.

Prequel Book - Lincoln’s Gift - The Historical origin story lays out the timeline of U.S. history into the establishment of a (fictional) will left by President Abraham Lincoln for his family worth billions of dollars.

 

Book 1 - Lincoln’s Touch - 1977 Chicago is where knowledge of the will is uncovered after the suicide of a Catholic Archbishop. A corrupt Chicago lawyer, Howard McDougle, cobbles together the Chicago Mob and a Vatican City Elite to create a broad conspiracy to snatch the will’s bounty for “the good of the church.”  An unsuspecting African-American Law student and his 12-year old son from the South Side of Chicago are unknowingly targeted to be pawns in the game.

 

Book 2 - Lincoln’s Son - Five years later, the conspiracy matures and the Chicago South Side lawyer’s son, Darnell Whitaker, is ripped away from his home and moved two hours south of the Windy City to the historical home of the 16th U.S. President, to Lincoln, Illinois. He must adapt and learn how to cope and survive in this new and strange place.
