Zahra Amanpour
Given the rapidly unfolding situation in Iran, I wanted to share a guest that feels especially timely for your audience.
In the last few days alone, BBC, CNN, and ABC News have reported widespread protests across Iran, violent clashes between demonstrators and security forces, mass arrests, internet blackouts, and a rising death toll.
Yes, those headlines point to a critical moment. BUT they don’t explain what’s actually happening beneath the surface.
Meet Zahra Amanpour. Born during the 1979 Iranian Revolution and raised in a resistance camp, Zahra is the daughter of a political prisoner killed in the 1988 massacre. Today, she is a leading voice of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and a board member of the Women's Freedom Forum.
On your podcast, Zahra can unpack:
What life under crackdown really looks like, why protests continue despite lethal risk and what this reveals about the regime’s weakening grip.
How Iran’s current repression follows a long pattern of terror, echoing the 1988 massacre and enabled by international silence.
How the regime uses internet shutdowns, surveillance, and disinformation to control dissent in the modern authoritarian era.
Here’s her media kit for deeper context: https://www.heartcastmedia.com/zahra-amanpour/
If this sparks curiosity, I’d love to coordinate a conversation.
Zahra Amanpour is a lifelong human rights advocate and a proud supporter of the Iranian Resistance movement. Born during the 1979 Iranian Revolution in Tehran, Zahra's life has been defined by the struggle for freedom and justice. Her father, a prominent advocate with the MEK/PMOI, was killed in 1988—a summer marked by the mass killing of 30,000 political prisoners following the end of the Iran-Iraq war. Raised by her mother within the Iranian Resistance community, Zahra grew up surrounded by the courage, clarity, and conviction of those who refused to be silenced. She draws deep inspiration from the many women who have led the movement for a free, secular, and democratic Iran. As a Board Member of the Women's Freedom Forum, Zahra works to amplify the voices of women fighting for their rights under repressive regimes and to shine a global light on their stories of resistance. Her work bridges continents, connecting the struggle for human rights in Iran with economic empowerment initiatives in the United States. |
Monica Hopkins
We’d love to have Monica Hopkins, Executive Director of the ACLU-DC, join your show for a critical conversation ahead of the 2026 election.
With the Trump administration’s deployment of the National Guard and move to federalize the D.C. Police, Monica is a leading authority to discuss how this move strips local leaders of their authority and puts residents and visitors at risk.
And here’s the thing: What happens in D.C. today is often a preview of what states like Michigan, New Hampshire, Illinois, and North Carolina could face tomorrow.
Monica can break down the following on your show:
How what’s happening in D.C. could become the playbook for the rest of the country
Why federal interference in D.C. should worry anyone who cares about local control
What voters actually need to watch for in the 2026 election before these tactics spread
How D.C. is being used to test policies that impact immigrant rights, LGBTQ protections, and criminal justice and why that matters for every state
Here’s her media kit for more context: https://www.heartcastmedia.com/monica-hopkins/
What do you think? Can we make this happen? Monica Hopkins has served as the executive director of the ACLU of the District of Columbia (ACLU-DC) since 2014, where she oversees critical advocacy efforts defending constitutional rights for over 700,000 District residents. As the organization's principal spokesperson, she has become a trusted voice in national conversations on civil liberties, frequently featured in major media outlets including the Washington Post, the New York Times, NPR, and Politico. Before leading the ACLU-DC, Monica directed the ACLU of Idaho from 2008 to 2014, where she championed transformative statewide victories in criminal justice reform, LGBTQIA equality, immigrants' rights, and First Amendment protections. Her extensive nonprofit leadership background positions her uniquely to address today's most pressing civil rights challenges. A graduate of Boise State University and 2012–2013 Rockwood Institute LGBT Advocacy Fellow, Monica also serves on the board of the National Reentry Network for Returning Citizens, demonstrating her commitment to justice beyond her executive role. |
Rob Thomas
Guest for Your Show Wordless Connection: Deepen Intimacy Without Saying a Word Even if You are Married By Rob Thomas When Words Only Get in the Way…. A Guide to Rekindling and Sustaining Love by Bypassing the Critical Mind Wordless acts delighting your partner by conveying the love in your heart For Valentine’s Day or Beyond…Rob Thomas was at his wit’s end. It seems everything he said to his beloved wife to draw her closer just ended in disaster and disappointment. He saw this incredible woman pulling away and nearly every word that came out of his mouth made it worse. And then he reflected on the first moment when they truly connected while in college. She playfully bet him a dollar that she could kiss him without touching him. He took the bait. And then she leaned over and kissed him in a way he would not forget! She then pulled a dollar from her pocket and said, “I guess I lost.” It was the kiss that changed everything. So, Rob began to explore what might happen if he STOPPED TALKING and began a gentle campaign of nonverbal communication. Reaching her in ways that conveyed his love without the misunderstandings or missteps that words risked. You’ll discover the incredible results in his new book Wordless Connection: Deepen Intimacy Without Saying a World Even if You are Married. Doing frequent nonverbal acts of love, it healed and transformed his near-on-the-rocks marriage into something solid, deeply connected and satisfying for both of them. And not just for Rob and his wife! Rob then conducted experiments across the country with couples from all walks of life. And the results were consistent. A global business consultant, he also incorporated what he was learning into his work with executives and company employees. Make no mistake, the book is not about sexual intimacy, although that may be the outcome. It’s about the connection between couples that deepens their love and facilitates openness, vulnerability and trust. Whether it’s a long-married couple with work and kids that have distracted from the relationship and lost the romance, to a young duo who are still trying to understand each other, Wordless Connection provides the tools that eliminate the dissonance and create alignment. Rob provides specific directions on how to enhance the feelings communicated in massage, hugs, kisses, handholding, eye contact, winking, smiling, grooming, arm around the shoulder and managing personal space. –Yes, there is a right and a wrong way—if the intention is to deepen connection! Rob specifically zeros in on five categories that have the most impact—holding hands, hugs and kisses, notes of care, unexpected acts of service and massage. Intention, duration and frequency are specified because this guidance is not a one-time fix…it’s about building a lifelong bridge directly into someone’s heart. These acts are designed to transform the giver from an “agenda” which is all about what you are getting,, to focus on your partner’s needs and wants and the essence of the pairing as a whole He says, ”Our relationships are like a garden and our actions with our significant other are how we tend that garden.” Rob touches on the science that supports many of the methods he proposes; he offers examples and testimonials by others of the impact implementation had in their lives, and, most of all -- you root for Rob, as you are along for ride as he tests his theories, healing and enriching the relationship with his wife. Rob also offers insight into: • The challenge of resisting the urge to speak • How to introduce Wordless Connection without arousing suspicion • Filing our Love Power Bank so we can convey the love we feel • The significance of Moral Beauty Rob Thomas has spent the last 20 years helping big companies get unstuck. He sits down with teams, listens hard, asks the right questions, and turns fuzzy goals into clear, doable plans. And that’s exactly what he has applied to Wordless Connection to find simple—but doable—solutions to rekindling, heightening and sustaining love. Says Rob: “Our bodies are built for this type of wordless interaction. All couples want connection, not just conversation.” If you would like to have Rob Thomas on your show to reveal the secrets of Wordless Connection, please send an email with the name of the show, your contact information, proposed date and time to: Kim Baron Love & Relationships, Relationship Counseling, Emotional Health and Freedom, Personal Development, Inspirational, Motivational, Dating, Sexuality

Rob Thomas has spent the last 20 years helping big companies get unstuck. He sits down with teams, listens hard, asks the right questions, and turns fuzzy goals into clear, doable plans. From automotive giants to banks, energy firms to tech startups, he’s worked all over the world figuring out what people really need and how to make it happen—faster, simpler, and with less drama. Along the way he’s coached executives one-on-one, guiding them through the toughest decisions while keeping the human side front and center. Whether he’s designing systems that save millions or smoothing supply chains so nothing falls apart, Rob’s gift is making complicated things feel straightforward. That same clarity and care shows up when he works with individuals. He has a knack for cutting through noise, spotting what actually matters, and helping people move forward—skills that translate beautifully to the everyday stuff that trips couples up. These days, when he’s not untangling corporate puzzles or exploring the mountains on skis, Rob is happiest at home with his wife and kids, reading a good book, or quietly testing the ideas that became Wordless Connection.

Marcia Earhart
Life is made up of countless facets—joy and sorrow, hope and heartbreak, clarity and confusion. Yet, in the middle of navigating life’s complexities, many people never have the space, tools, or support to truly process what they are facing in healthy ways. Instead, pain gets buried, stress accumulates, and survival replaces living. Breathe again, Move again, and Live again can be the safe landing to enter the space and glean practical, healthy tools that foster healing and growth. Many are ill-equipped, and crisis rarely waits until we feel ready. When challenges hit in real time, people need real solutions—not platitudes, not pressure and not perfection, but guidance that meets them exactly where they are. Like "Dear Abby," I am the one someone can call or send a message. I work with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted—those who are navigating grief, trauma, anxiety, loss, or major life transitions. Together, we slow down what feels chaotic, identify what is actually happening beneath the surface, and create space for understanding and clarity. Healing doesn’t mean erasing the past; it means learning how to move forward without being controlled by it. What sets my approach apart is its practicality and immediacy. We don’t just talk about change—we put real-time solutions in place for real-time crises. These are tools that can be used in the middle of emotional overload, panic, decision fatigue, or moments when breathing feels difficult and hope feels distant. Having someone who can offer guidance helps encourage steps to interrupt cycles of overwhelm and create momentum toward stability and peace. The goal is simple but profound: to help people breathe again, move again, and live again. Breathing again means finding calm in the chaos and learning how to regulate emotions when life feels unmanageable. Moving again means regaining confidence, purpose, and the ability to take the next right step—even if that step is small. Living again means reconnecting with joy, meaning, and the truth that life still holds value and possibility beyond pain. Everyone deserves support that is compassionate, practical, and empowering. Everyone deserves tools that don’t just help them survive a moment but equip them to face the next one with greater strength and clarity. My work is about walking alongside people, offering insight, encouragement, and tangible strategies that help them rediscover their capacity to heal and thrive. Life may be complex, but healing doesn’t have to be out of reach. With the right support, it is possible to move from merely enduring life to engaging it fully—one breath, one step, and one moment at a time. I’m a psychologist and breathwork practitioner advocating for change in how we approach mental health treatment. My work focuses on the treatment prevalence paradox — why mental health outcomes continue to worsen despite more therapy, medication, and awareness than ever before. For my PhD in psychology, I conducted the largest randomized controlled trial to date on Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB), examining its effects on anxiety. I bring a research-led but accessible perspective on what’s working, what isn’t, and how embodied approaches like breathwork may offer a missing piece in modern mental health care. Richard Blake is a psychologist, breathwork practitioner, and advocate for reform in modern mental health treatment. He began his career as a professional fitness model and gym owner, where his interest in performance, health, and the mind–body connection first took shape. Seeking deeper clinical training, Richard entered postgraduate psychotherapy training in the UK, completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychotherapy. During his training, he became increasingly concerned by the limited real-world outcomes of traditional talk therapy, which led him to step away from licensure-focused pathways and pursue research instead. Richard later moved from the UK to the United States, where he completed a PhD in Psychology and conducted the largest randomized controlled trial to date on Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB). His work now focuses on why mental health outcomes continue to worsen despite more treatment than ever, and how embodied, evidence-based approaches may offer a missing piece. |

The world needs a unitive vision that provides hope, optimism, and encouragement to a divided humanity. After eleven books exploring life stories, personal myth making, mysticism, the collective story of our time, and how we can live into our own story of wholeness, I realized it was time for something more, something that opens the hearts of all people to the urgency of remembering our innate state of unity, harmony, and wholeness that connects us all and keeps us in peaceful relationship with all beings on our planetary home. This inner knowing seems to have been out of reach for eons. I have written The Way of Unity as an invitation to imagine a world where every person feels seen, valued, and connected, a world guided by compassion, cooperation, and partnerships. This book helps us discover something greater than ourselves – a growing, expanding organic renewal process aligned with evolutionary forces. This book focuses on the inherently peaceful nature of the entire universe, the unitive principles that reflect and support this wholeness, and the global community that is striving to restore the world to wholeness by applying a model of unity-in-action based on implementing unitive principles in everyday life to build strong, vibrant communities that will become the foundation for a globally scalable culture of peace. This is the story I want to share with the world. I want to raise a call to action for the regeneration of individuals, communities, institutions, and social structures.
