Guest Occupation: Life Coach
Guest Biography:

I am a certified professional life and business coach my goal is to empower you toward living your best life. Below you will find some information about who I am and my qualifications which allow me to effectively help motivate clients.

Growing up many of us had experienced ups and downs, and I am no exception. During high school I began contemplating why people behave and react in certain ways. Upon graduation I knew that college would help me to find some answers to my questions. Motivated to help others I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Tampa.
Before graduation from U.T., I learned that the human services field had more to offer and that my clients would benefit even more if I obtained a graduate degree. After two successful years and a one year internship, I graduated with my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University, Tampa campus.
Finally, I was out in my field and working! Things couldn’t be better, right? Wrong! I set a personal goal years ago that I would become a doctor in my field. Why did I suddenly stop? Why did I choose to stop making choices that would ultimately lead me to my goal? Using my internal drive I chose to go back to school and earn my doctorate.  I worked little by little, day by day and finally, I am here!
How does this all fit into coaching? During the course of the past ten years I have provided coaching services to clients and found that this is one of the most rewarding services offered in the field. I get to work with people who have an internal drive and are determined to set goals and meet them.
As an individual life coach I have been successful in helping people work toward a more productive and better life. A life filled with more empowerment and positivity. Together we find, extract and use your internal motivation to help you reach your goals. The focus is on goal attainment and healthy choices.
As a couple’s coach I help partners advance their relationship in a healthy and positive direction.
As a business coach, I use my training in public speaking and cultural awareness to help enhance cohesion amongst employers in the workforce and use techniques to help those in management maintain the cohesion established.

Guest Biography:

Keyboard Legend Extraordinaire Patrick Moraz, Former Member of YES and the Moody Blues, To Release New Album “MAP” (Moraz Alban Project) With Outstanding Drummer Greg Alban!

Los Angeles CA- Patrick Moraz and Greg Alban proudly announce the release of their new CD “MAP”.

Says Patrick, “The concept and the meaning of “MAP” is first and foremost the 'MORAZ ALBAN PROJECT'! Some time ago, Greg Alban, a very good friend of mine and a great drummer whom I have known now for more than 30 years asked me if I would like to start composing and arranging some music that he could play the drums on, with me. He wanted to record a whole album together and eventually of course, release it.”

So Moraz began composing and arranging the music for “MAP” in his studio in Florida, the project then moved to California, where it was further developed and recorded. This new music is a collection of instrumental pieces that range in style and spirit of World-Fusion, Rock and Jazz.

Greg Alban, originally from Columbus, Ohio, attended Ohio University and moved to Los Angeles in 1974 to pursue a career in music. Greg has studied with some of the great drummers and teachers such as Richard Wilson, Joe Morello and Joe Porcaro. Patrick Moraz first heard Greg Alban play drums when he was head of his own band ICE. They were performing at the famous and since shuttered Red Onion in Marina Del Rey, CA. Impressed with the playing skills of Alban and fellow band member John Avila, Moraz asked them to perform on his album, “Timecode”. Greg Alban who has worked with such artists such as “The Miracles”, Denny Laine (Wings) and Mike Pinera (Blues Image and Iron Butterfly) explains: “Patrick and I have been very good friends for a long time and I’m still always being surprised by the depth of his knowledge, not just about music but everything! He’s a creative genius and I’m honored to be working with him.”

Swiss born Patrick Moraz, is best known as an official member and keyboardist for the progressive rock bands “Yes” from 1974 to the end of 1976 and “The Moody Blues” from 1978 to 1991. He was classically trained at the Conservatory of Lausanne, but having a keen interest in jazz and world rhythms he decided early on to pursue composing and playing in these genres of music as well. This led to Patrick and his own trio and quartet, opening for major jazz artists and famous rock bands throughout Europe in the mid-sixties. He then formed the group “Mainhorse” with Jean Ristori in 1968 and released a self-titled album on Polydor. Then, after a long tour of Japan and the Far-East as musical director of a Brazilian Ballet Company, he came back and moved to England in the early Seventies to form “Refugee” with Lee Jackson and Brian Davison, both previously of  “The Nice”. They produced one album titled “Refugee” which to date is still revered as one of Prog-Rock’s monumental works known for Moraz’s highly inspired compositions and keyboard virtuosity.

Moraz rose to prominence in 1974 as a new member and keyboardist of “Yes”. He co-composed along with Yes’s” band members and played on the album “Relayer”, which led to what was to be “Yes’s” most successful ever world tour, playing to crowds which numbered from 25,000 to 120,00 at JFK stadium during the bi-centennial year of 1976.  In 1975-1976 all the then- members of “Yes” released solo albums. In the interim Moraz had moved to Brazil and composed the music for the “I” aka “The Story of I” which incorporated 16 Brazilian percussionists, making it an important staple of “world music”. “I” was Moraz’s first solo album and in 1976 it was voted the #1 Album of the Year by “Keyboard Magazine”. After his departure from “Yes” Patrick recorded his second album “Out In The Sun” on the “famous” Charisma Record Label, and moved officially to Brazil.

In the last part of 1977 and the first part of 1978, time was devoted exclusively for composing and recording for the production of his 3rd solo Album, simply titled “Patrick Moraz”, in the company of the percussionists of Rio-de-Janeiro and Djalma Correa, who, several years later, was referred by Patrick to Peter Gabriel for his Album “SO”.

Moving back to Europe via an appearance at the famous “Montreux Jazz Festival” in Switzerland, and upon their request, Patrick began touring with ”The Moody Blues” on their “Octave” tour in 1978, replacing their former keyboardist Mike Pinder. The two world Tours, ending in 1979 proved extremely successful!

In 1980, having played and recorded on the new album “Long Distance Voyager” he was asked to become a member of the band. Subsequently, in 1981, “Long Distance Voyager” reached #1 on the US charts and proved to be one of their highest grossing albums to date. He continued touring and recording with “The Moody Blues” until 1991 and played on the four subsequent albums : “The Present”, “The Other Side of Life”, “Sur la Mer” and partially on “Keys of the Kingdom”. Moraz is also credited as composer and co-writer of the song “The Spirit”, which appeared on the 1986 album “The Other Side of Life”.

During recording and touring breaks with the “Moodies”, Patrick had continued to compose, play and record his solo albums “Future Memories 1” “Future Memories II”, (both “Live on TV”),  “Human Interface”, and “Timecode”. He also collaborated, (in 1979), with the renowned Romanian panpipe flutist, Simeon Stanciu, (a.k.a. Syrinx), for their album “Coexistence”.  From 1983 to 1985, Patrick Moraz and Bill Bruford, former member and drummer for Yes, decide to form a duet and tour under the name “Moraz-Bruford”. They recorded two albums, “Music For Piano and Drums” and “Flags” and managed to do three very successful worldwide Tours.

In 1991 having been with “The Moody Blues” for thirteen years, Moraz embarked on a solo career. To date he has composed and played acoustic piano on three solo CD’s, “Windows of Time”, “Resonance” and “ESP” all of which have been critically acclaimed and extremely well received.

In 1995, exactly 20 years ago, Patrick Moraz performed throughout the USA on his C.H.A.T. tour (Coming Home America Tour). The tour was unique in that it was one of the first, if not the very first to be booked entirely over the Internet. Moraz played solo on acoustic Grand Pianos to audiences that numbered as small as two people to hundreds of people, taking place in eclectic venues which ranged from single homes, to large estates, corporate headquarters, churches, theaters, concert halls and museums. One of the concerts was filmed and recorded for a DVD and CD in Princeton N.J. and is titled “P.M. in Princeton”. The C.H.A.T. tour proved to be a huge success and an experience that Moraz says, “He will always hold very dear to his heart”.

In 2009 he released “Change of Space”, and in 2011 Moraz released the electronic keyboard CD “Moraz Live/Abbey Road”  which features Patrick playing live electronic keyboards as well as a live acoustic piano improvisation. There  was also a piano-compilation CD titled “Pianissimoraz”, featuring a new and unreleased piece : The “one-&-only take” of the instant composition “Pure Love”.

And now much to the excitement of music fans worldwide, Patrick Moraz and Greg Alban are releasing their first album “MAP” in June 2015!

The album features amazing bass player John Avila, former member of “Oingo Bongo”, who also plays bass on “MAP”. The other great players featured on “MAP” are Lenny Castro on percussion, who has worked with such artists as “The Rolling Stones”, “Elton John”, “Eric Clapton” and many others. Renown and awesome bass player, Matt Malley, founder and former member of  “The Counting Crows”, expertly plays Indian Slide Guitar on “MAP’. Swiss virtuoso bass player Patrick Perrier and heavyweight multi-instrumentalist on tenor saxophone Dave VanSuch, both perform on “MAP” as well.

Guest Biography:

Dean Shrock, Ph.D. was born in Central Pennsylvania, but soon moved to Pittsburgh, Pa. where he graduated from high school in 1963. He attended Cleveland State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1968.

In 1977 Dr. Shrock began training to be a lecturer in a self-help program with its founder, Ken McCaulley. Shrock returned to college in 1980, graduating from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio with a master’s in Community and College Counseling in 1983, and completing his doctorate in Counseling Psychology in 1986. His doctoral dissertation was titled, Relaxation, Guided Imagery, and Wellness.

In 1986 Dr. Shrock completed a post-doctoral internship where he developed a research proposal for the Cleveland Clinic to test the effectiveness of guided imagery with cancer patients. In 1987 he interned as a staff psychologist with the Nittany Valley Rehabilitation Hospital in State College, Pa. While there he also interned with Dr. Carl Simonton at the Simonton Cancer Center where he initiated his research with psychological approaches to cancer care.

In 1988 Dr. Shrock was hired by a physician management group to provide psychological services for their cancer centers. Here he developed a wellness program whose primary purpose was to instill a greater “will to live”. While bringing more joy and meaning into life surely could affect a patient’s quality of life, Dr. Shrock’s research published in 1999 found that it extended their length of life. He concluded they lived longer because they felt listened to, cared for, and supported. His experience and expertise led to his being invited to co-author the chapter on Mind-Body Medicine in the textbook, Integrative Oncology, which is regarded as “the definitive source in the field” for healthcare providers.

Dr. Shrock wrote a book in 2000 about the wellness program he taught and the insights he gained. This book, Doctor’s Order’s: Go Fishing, is not about cancer, as much as it is about life. Readers can use the information to get well or stay well. People who are busy doing what they like to do not only tend to forget their aches and pains, but experience a positive effect on their quality and length of life.

However, Dr. Shrock was very intrigued by his finding that feeling loved and cared for could extend survival with cancer. This culminated in his 2009 bestselling book, Why Love Heals. He now resides in Yachats, Oregon and lectures regularly about his “Going Fishing” approach to life, and how to find true joy, peace of mind, great health, and self-love.

Guest Occupation: Sleep Specialist
Guest Biography:

I'm a medical doctor and I teach adults how to sleep in a gentle, loving, mindful way.

I used to have my own family practice down under in New Zealand for 12 years and have always had a passion for holistic integrative health - bringing the together the best  from all worlds…..the worlds of medicine, meditation and mindfulness, science, psychology and other healing paths.  As we bring mindfulness to our lives - and listen to our body/mind - insomnia and poor sleep can become a friend guiding us to deeper and restorative and nourishing sleep.

For life is so much richer and happier when we experience deep restorative nurturing sleep every night……………..So how do we allow ourselves to have this quality of sleep ? What do we need to do to develop this for ourselves ?

Let’s explore this idea that insomnia is not the problem for it’s actually a symptom. So many people spend their lives searching for a pill or a potion or some magic solution to get rid of the insomnia but what if instead of focusing on the insomnia and seeing it as the enemy to be destroyed - what if we see it as a friend - a guide trying to guide us to the actual cause ?

For many the cause of poor sleep is due to their frantically  busy lives  and so not taking time for themselves at the end of the day to slow down and relax their  body, their mind and their  soul…..

So many people in our busy Western world run around all day and all evening - packing their lives overfull and wondering why they then can’t sleep……wondering why they toss and turn at night desperate to sleep..

Guest Biography:

Since 1998 Bonnie Illies has been helping animals--domesticated, wildlife, and even dairy cows. She specializes in helping animals with physical and emotional concerns. Bonnie's clients appreciate her ability as an Intuitive to be able to see what is at the root of their animal's concern, and as a Healer to help their animal heal from a variety of emotional and physical ailments.

There is a difference being told by an animal communicator that your animal friend is experiencing an upset stomach and Bonnie being able to do a body scan to see what is causing this symptom. This is important because often the symptom is just that--a symptom (upset stomach), but it is not the cause or the root of the problem.

Bonnie's clients see her work as a Medical Intuitive, likening her to the well-known medical intuitive, Carolyn Myss. Other clients say she is like Dr. Phil--tells it like it is. Either way, repeated clients, including veterinarians and medical doctors, can verify her 99% success rate in helping their animal companions with health and emotional concerns.

Bonnie understands that working with a healer may be new to you and welcomes you to call with any questions you may have about the process or if you would like her to speak to your group.

Guest Biography:

CORY PESATURO

– World Digital Accordion Champion (Coupe Mondiale)

– World Acoustic Accordion Champion (Primus Ikaalinen)

*First Person to ever win World Championships on Digital, Acoustic, and Jazz Accordion

“No one is doing more for the image of the Accordion than Cory Pesaturo is.” NBC/FOX’s Maria Bartiromo

World Digital Accordion Champion (Coupe Mondiale) and World Acoustic Accordion Champion (Primus Ikaalinen) Cory Pesaturo (C Pez) is a graduate of the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA, where he was the first musician ever to major and graduate in the accordion. Cory is in fact, the Only person to ever win World Championships on Acoustic Accordion, Digital Accordion, and Jazz. Accordion Legend Dick Contino said when Cory was only 15, “Of all the accordionists I’ve seen over the years, Cory is the one to pass the torch to, the only one who has all the tools to bring the accordion back to its former glory.” Cory’s main contribution, is his visionary thinking of how the accordion should be used, played, and presented in the modern music world. He is currently developing his own electric accordion, and already has made the first ever skinned accordion that includes a symmetric midi lighting system attached to the keys.

Pesaturo’s extensive resumé includes appearances at the White House for President and Mrs. Clinton on 4 different occasions, starting at age 12. On one of those occasions, he became the youngest person ever to perform at a State Dinner, performing with the Marine Strolling Strings for the President of Hungary. He has since performed at 7 other events for the Clintons and continues to keep in touch as proved by his 14 letters from the First family. Because of this, Cory is featured in Mrs. Clinton’s book “An Invitation to the White House”, which describes the State Diner performance. He has played every year at the prestigious Sergio Franchi Memorial Concert since he was 12, which is a deep connection to his Italian roots. For his travel, Cory has performed in 5 different continents, from Italy, to Canada, to New Zealand, to Japan and Tunisia, and regularly travels 75,000-100,000 miles a year. He has judged accordion competitions in the US, Canada, and Ireland, and has judged music competitions in general. Pesaturo currently gives masterclasses on both Music Theory and Accordion, and has taught at Harvard University, Brown University, UNC Ashville, Berklee College of Music, MIT and of course New England Conservatory.

At 11, Pesaturo got his first break, and opened at the former Warwick Musical Theater for the ill Myron Floren, the legendary accordionist on the Lawrence Welk show. In July of 2002 at age 15, Cory tied his close friend Steve Dominko, for the youngest ever National Accordion Champion in the US. A win in a concerto competition at the New England Conservatory of Music gave Pesaturo the rare opportunity to perform at the 2003 Christmas Pops Concert with the Brockton Symphony Orchestra as a featured soloist, where he became the youngest accordionist to ever solo with a symphony orchestra. Cory performed Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto; this performance can actually be seen on YouTube.

Cory is known as both a visionary and a rebel with the main United States “accordion world” much like Dick Contino was in his early days, and is outspoken with his dislike for the way the accordion is constantly presented, and also how the accordion world teaches the instrument in a manner that he says heavily discounts musicality and theory, further destroying the accordion image.

Concerning his Jazz side, Pesaturo recorded two CD’s with saxophone legend George Garzone and his famous band “The Fringe” at age 20, and has been performing with them in the Boston and Providence region. His performances at All of his World Championships were generally all improvised, likely a first in the world of accordion for major championships. Cory also won all of these, on accordions that were not his, most notably for the Acoustic championship in Finland, where he was denied to bring his instrument on the plane, and picked one up on arrival, mostly due to its color matching the outfit he planned to wear vs. the instrument being the right one to compete with.

Mr. Pesaturo is also heavily involved and respected with the weather and motor sports worlds as well. From 2005 to 2006, he composed the Official list of records set by the inconceivable record-breaking 2005 Atlantic hurricane season. He has also written the lists for the 2007 and 2008 Seasons as well. Moreover, he has put out a report and list of the 2009-2010 Winter Season for the United States. His is known for being a pioneer in the FreeSledding world with his own sledding mountain called “CN Mountain”, and has various other hobbies which he dedicates himself to. Furthermore, his music is regularly played on Formula 1 broadcasts on SPEED Channel and FOX, has an ongoing musical relationship with 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston, has written the music for “The Flying Lap” for his friend, Formula 1 Legend Peter Windsor, and is currently working on a Formula 1 book that will change the way people look upon the sports history and its champions.

Also in this year he won the “Coupe Mondiale” world championship in the category “junior virtuoso entertainment” and got the 8th place in the category for classical music of the same competition.

Electronic music also fascinates Matthias. 2009 he received the first prize of the ROLAND V-Accordion Festival in the junior category and 2011 he won the national final of this competition in the adult category and received the second prize of the international competition in Rome. Matthias was awarded with the title “Kid of the Year 2009” as overall winner of the “Kids2Keys” contest which is a competition for creativity and electronic instruments organized by the IFET association.

Since then he has played concerts for ROLAND, for example during the “Night of Keys” on the Musikmesse Frankfurt.

What Matthias likes about the accordion is the sometimes underestimated variety of this instrument and the possibility to use it for every possible style of music which often results in surprises.

She is a member of the Society for Experimental Mechanics (SEM), co-founded SEM’s Biological Systems and Materials Division, and has served on the SEM Composite Materials Technical Division. Dr. Wood received her B.S. (Civil Engineering, 1981) (Structural Engineering), M.S. Engineering Mechanics (Applied Physics), 1983), and Ph.D. (Materials Engineering Science, 1992).

Dr. Wood started to question the events of 9/11 on that same day when what she saw and heard on television was contradictory and appeared to violate the laws of physics. Since that day she has used her knowledge of engineering mechanics to prove that the collapse of the World Trade Center twin towers could not have happened as the American public was told. In this interview, Judy Wood talks about her book “Where Did the Towers Go?”

The book is the culmination of years of work and study that she’s been presenting on her website about the destruction of the World Trade Center buildings on 9/11/01. She has been tracking and collecting many of the anomalies witnessed on that day and found evidence for a strange effect related to the work of John Hutchison called “The Hutchison Effect.” We discuss how directed-energy weapons might have been involved in destroying the towers. Topics Discussed: forensics, interference energy, John Hutchison, hurricane Erin, tornados, towers turning to dust, anomalies, strange effects, physics, WTC1, WTC2, WTC3, WTC4, WTC5, WTC6, WTC7, NIST, classified technology, The Billiard Ball Example and more.

Gary Leigh is the author of I am the Phoenix and blog writer for the "Psychic Empaths"

“I am an Empath who has experienced and studied what it means to be one."

On my blog (areyouanempath.com), you will find my personal experiences, thoughts and ponderings. I have spent a good part of my life working to help empaths all over the world.

This blog covers the following subjects:

- Depression and methods to heal depression

- Empaths

- Bach Flower Remedies

- The psychic side of being an Empath

- Channeled writings on subjects such as empathy

- The Hidden Astral World series written by guest blogger Omen (who has more knowledge   and experience in such things than I’ve ever seen.)

- Plus much more

I tend to post at least twice a week so if you wish to be kept up to date, please subscribe. (I used to post daily but realized few could really keep up.)

For those who are wondering who I am, and what my sources are, I will say that I’ve been a student of the esoteric nearly all my life. I’ve studied extensively on many different subjects, including philosophies such as Taoism and Buddhism. I’ve studied Bach Flower Remedies intensively since 1994, and have made quite a few discoveries in regards to them. My main focus is soul healing and giving people’s power back to them.

I became aware that I was an empath in the late 1990s. I would mention it to people, and they would always ask, what is an empath? Eventually, I decided to write up an explanation on the web (circa 2002) because there just wasn’t anything around on that subject back then. All my work and thoughts are my own. I have lived most of what I write about, and I have a deep understanding of what it is like to be an empath, suffer through depression, and what can be done to heal.

Feel free to e-mail me at xeraphax@gmail.com.  I will respond to all e-mails, generally pretty quickly. If you don’t get a response, it means something has gone wrong.
