Guest Biography:

Autumn is my favorite time of year; perhaps that is because I was born into a big family, living in a small, upstate New York town, during this fabulous season. I am number six of seven children and ironically, I am now a mother of eight amazingly unique individuals. I love to write, teach, speak, inspire, motivate, and create. For me there are no limits, our potential is infinite, and our destiny is ours to design. Guiding individuals toward embracing their truths, discovering their passions, and living a balanced happy life is what I am here to do. Hello, I am Bernadette Di Gabriele and it is a great pleasure to meet you.

To begin, I grew up in a strict catholic home and realized early on that structured religion was not for me. It was in my mid-teen years that I had the chance to venture out and discover other religious mindsets. In my early twenties, I decided to dedicate myself to Christianity, moved to a small Tennessee town, and became an ordained Spiritual Teacher under the Church of God. During this time, I co-partnered a business heading the departments of Human Resources and Operations, while singing in and co-pastoring at a small church - where my primary focus was relationship enhancement, family services and youth counseling.

Still feeling unsettled about my spiritual beliefs, I began researching deeper into other philosophies and quickly became intrigued by the diversities and similarities I had discovered. I was now in my late twenties, finding myself at a major crossroad. Feeling desperate and trapped in a life of falsities, instability and uncertainty, I stumbled upon a spiritual weekend intensive that impacted my life so significantly that I had no choice but to make effective, necessary changes. I allowed my mind to embrace the idea of universal energies, I opened myself up to accept my gifts and passions, and I embarked on a new journey set to understand and grow what I knew was innate to me.

Through my studies, I have realized that there are very few absolutes, however, those that exist are irrefutable. I particularly enjoy working with one of these rarities, as I find discovering its power and ability invigorating. What is this captivating absolute, you ask? The answer is energy. Being a Usui Reiki Master and Theta Energy Practitioner, I tap into the power of this phenomenon in order to help others restore balance in their lives; ultimately creating happiness.

Today, my path of discovery has brought me to a place where my heartfelt desire is to assist others in achieving their goals, both personally and professionally. My recipe, well, I take my experience, passion and divine impartations, then I combine those elements with my behavioral science, communications, and, spiritual education and background. Adding these components together equals valuable guidance for individuals toward realizing and reaching their highest potential. Together we can make discoveries that will forever impact your life, setting you on a path to design your destiny one intention at a time.

Guest Biography:

One of my favorite philosophies of life was stated in a quote by Yoganonda---It states; "You must not let your life run in the ordinary way.  Do something that no one else has done; something that will dazzle the world. Show that God's creative principle works in you."

Growing up as an only child, I lived in a 3 generational family sharing moments of joy, grief in the complications of war, economic adversity and disappointment.  This was an accepted norm of life.

I found myself in a caregiving role with mother and grandparents. Excellence in sports and academics were my escape at that time.   Church services every Sunday created my foundation about religion and spirituality.  Many times, I fell asleep in the pews of the church but that was also a normal expectation of the times for me.

In my fantasies, I would dream about stage performances, being a concert pianist, and creating activities for  entertaining my active imagination.

However, as luck would have it, my caregiving responsibilities  continued throughout my lifetime with my aging grandparents, mother, husband and 3 children as well as fulfilling my teaching degree.  It seemed I never had time to stop and smell the roses---just for me.   However, after my husband's bout with a 12 year illness of Cancer and diabetes ended, I created a workbook  designed to nurture and support the broad  category of Caregivers.

This is only the tip of the iceberg.  My life's experiences have all been stepping stones to a greater self awareness of my creative choices.

Guest Biography:
Jim DiEugenio is the author of Destiny Betrayed, about the Garrison investigation of the Kennedy assassination, first published in 1992, with a second, greatly revised edition issued in 2012; and Reclaiming Parkland, published in 2013 and reissued in expanded form in 2016, which offers a detailed critical examination of the Warren Commission's evidence and conclusions as presented by Vincent Bugliosi's Reclaiming History, along with an analysis of the CIA's influence in Hollywood.

He is also the co-author and editor of The Assassinations: Probe Magazine on JFK, MLK, RFK and Malcolm X.  He co-edited Probe Magazine from 1993-2000 and was a guest commentator on the anniversary issue of the film JFK re-released by Warner Brothers in 2013.

Jim, who has an MA in Contemporary American History from California State University Northridge, is also a specialist in the history and theory of cinema, and has written numerous film reviews; he is a frequent contributor at Robert Parry's Consortium News.  He has appeared as guest on numerous talk shows, and is a regular on Len Osanic's BlackOp Radio.

Jim has recently retired from thirty years as a professional educator.

ABOUT Jim's site:

Kennedys and King is the successor site to CTKA (formerly ctka.net).

CTKA (Sit-kah) was an activist group lobbying for full disclosure of all records relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

In 1993, in response to public outcry created by Oliver Stone's film JFK, Congress passed the JFK Act, a law requiring federal agencies to release all the remaining withheld evidence relating to the assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. While some pretend the case is closed, the case can never be closed so long as the documents pertaining to the assassination and the investigations that followed remain locked away from public scrutiny.

Citizens for Truth about the Kennedy Assassination was organized as a result of the April 1993 Chicago Midwest Symposium on Assassinations. At the end of that conference, it was generally decided that the time had come to create a political action group, which would urge the executive branch of our government to re-open the unsolved assassinations of the 1960s-i.e., the murders of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King. CTKA endeavored to ensure that the Review Board fulfilled its mandate to release all the remaining records pertaining to the JFK assassination; to amend the current Freedom of Information Act to render future covert actions more difficult to hide; and to urge the American people to discover the truth about their history.

CTKA formerly published Probe Magazine (1993-2000), and featured on its web site many of the articles which first appeared there, along with a continuous stream of new articles and reviews by numerous contributors.

Kennedys and King seeks to continue this mission of presenting the best in research concerning the political assassinations of the 1960s and their historical context.

ABOUT JIM'S BOOK...

Destiny Betrayed, Second Edition: JFK, Cuba, and the Garrison Case

If you thought you already knew everything there was to know about the Kennedy assassination, think again.

If you enjoyed the chilling experience of In Cold Blood and were at the edge of your seat while watching Oliver Stone's JFK, you'll love this investigative look into all the facets of one of the top conspiracies of the 20th century and beyond. DiEugenio, who has spent decades researching the Kennedy assassination, takes both an analytical and conversational approach to his fascinating exploration of the pivotal historical events and scandals surrounding that day.

Twenty years after the first edition of Destiny Betrayed, DiEugenio is back with his ever-expanding investigation into the life and death of JFK. But this is no simple reissue. It is a greatly revised and expanded version of the original book, including updates on all the topics it introduced back in 1992. DiEugenio has used the declassification process of the Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB) to obtain the most current information on topics like the Garrison investigation and Clay Shaw; the newly exposed fallacies of the Warren Commission; U.S.-Cuban policy from 1957 to 1963; Kennedy's withdrawal plan from Vietnam; Kennedy's challenge to the Cold War consensus in 1961, and where those ideas originated; the ARRB medical inquiry demonstrating conspiracy and cover up; and the problems with the investigation of the Kennedy case. DiEugenio's primary focus is on the Garrison inquiry, the New Orleans aspects of the Kennedy murder investigation, and the revelatory new information that bolsters Garrison's case and has been withheld from the public.

All of this and more is contained in the narrative of this complex crime, with twin focuses on the victim, John F. Kennedy, and the investigator, Jim Garrison.

Guest Occupation: Singer, Songwriter, Philosopher
Guest Biography:

Thirty-one years ago, singer-songwriter Dave Nachmanoff saw Al “Year of the Cat” Stewart live for the first time at Royal Albert Hall in London; ten years ago, he came back to that same venue and performed with Stewart. In 2016, he reassembled the core band from the Year of the Cat album — including occasional Pink Floyd collaborator Tim Renwick and smooth jazz superstar Peter White —  and enlisted their musical prowess in support of his latest release, Spinoza’s Dream.

Nachmanoff is uniquely positioned to undertake a concept album project like Spinoza’s Dream; not only has he been Stewart’s musical co-collaborator for the better part of a decade and a half, he also holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of California. So maybe the “singer-songwriter” tag deserves to be retired in favor of “singer-philosopher,” which would place him more rightly among the likes of Randy Newman, Warren Zevon, Kris Kristofferson, and other performers whose musical output has been guided by a creative vision that extends far beyond “moon-June-spoon” lyrics and “G-D-C-Am” chord progressions.

Growing up in the shadow of the nation’s capital, Nachmanoff cut his musical teeth on Pete Seeger, country rock, the Kingston Trio’s early revival folk, and ‘80s new wave, all melded with a soupçon of Brit folk a la Fairport Convention, John Martyn, and Ralph McTell. In fact, Spinoza’s Dream producer Martin Levan had a guiding hand in both Martyn’s Grace and Danger and McTell’s Water of Dreams, two critically-acclaimed classics of the genre.

Over the course of a dozen albums and countless tours, he has shared the stage with the likes of Alison Krauss, Cheryl Wheeler, Steve Forbert, Firefall, and John Wesley Harding (among many others), at venues ranging from The Bottom Line to the Glastonbury Festival. He’s also paid his dues in myriad classrooms across the United States, sharing his talents and nurturing the next generation of budding troubadours.

SingOut! has praised his “heartfelt, inspired songwriting … with a delivery both biting and assured,”  but that’s only the tip of the Nachmanoff critical iceberg. Just Plain Folks honored him with the 2001 Songwriter of the Year award, he was a finalist in the 2011 USA Songwriting Competition, and for five consecutive years he was always in the mix for the top songwriting award in the South Florida Folk Festival before finally winning Best Overall in 2002.

Nachmanoff currently resides in Northern California, not far from the heritage vines that helped inspire his 2009 collaboration with Al Stewart, Uncorked.  Perhaps the most important trait he shares with his local agricultural cousins is that his songs, much like a fine wine, gain complexity and substance over time.
