The Vast Oddity

Otherworldly elements being expressed through 2 guitars, a stomp and loop pedal, 2 vocals and a bunch of spacey, experimental sounds and filters, coming together as a trippy audible experience. The Vast Oddity combine these ethereal compositions with messages that'll bend and uplift your reality. Since forming in 2017, The Vast Oddity has toured across their country, South Africa. They've released 9 singles and a 7 track album on all online music platforms. The band looks forward to bringing their trippy live shows to the rest of the world.

Angel number 8 is a sign that abundance will soon be coming. The number 8 is itself balanced, which means that it is the number of balancing both the material and spiritual aspects of our experience. That goes to say that it has been 8 years since the debut of Shunda K’s “The Most Wanted” album in 2011.
Why now after 8 years you ask, well Shunda says, “it’s now time for the world to know the whole truth about it all, our existence, from who our Maker AhSha is to who we are as individuals experiencing a world of freewill”.

I first got in to making music when I was fifteen, two of my friends had a band and needed a bass player. I didn’t have a bass for the first few practices, but once I’d raised enough for an old Aria Pro 2 pointy headstock bass my family agreed to buy me a small amp and off I went.

We wrote our own material, mainly rocky stuff (our demo got reviewed in Kerrang!), but most of what we did was covers.
