Music Submission, Soul Harmony

Artist or Band Name:
Soul Harmony

The American band from Greenville South Carolina was founded in 2006-present as a neo-soul/funk, jazz band by one of the founding members (Luke "Duce Diamond" Tate,Sr.) as a additional act to the compilation album (Da' Mass Orche$tra "View from Hate-topia"). With his father David "Pap" Nance,Jr., James William Goodwin (deceased 2008), and older brother "The International" Tate Inc. of the super rap duo "Presidential Playerz". With James William Goodwin, Tate Inc. & Pap's previous experience on various church choirs, it was nothing for them to go to work on writing a album of this caliber. Other members would be added later to give this old tale made modern a new flair. These members would consist of the soulful voice of DunMega with a vocal range to hard to put into any category, his sister Sue Glenn singing alto and soprano, and XMS the youngest member of the group, and the youngest daughter of Tate Inc. With the powerful soul ballard "When she's gone", the colorful title track "Be strong", and the alternative story telling of "Count the ways". This album sure lives up to the hype of the critics. There's something for everyone, and way too many hits to name in this bio, but we hope you'll enjoy! God bless.

Lush and well crafted rock with groove, Specialists music puts you in an atmosphere somewhere between funk & psychedelics.  Initially, creating this set of songs was challenging for the duo as they were written & recorded entirely during quarantine over the internet.  After powering through the disconnected nature of crafting these tunes, Too Easy has become Specialists’ most refined release to date.

The EP kicks off with the powerful, Thanks, Boss- a pop-funk song with uplifting synthesizers, funky guitars, & enticing vocals; all separated by an impressive jazz-rock head highlighting the group’s musicianship. Second on the tracklisting, Be Easy, is a funk-rock staple in Specialists’ repertoire. Come Over is a seductive stand out track where Specialists explore their R&B influences. Listeners will find themselves enamored with the skips & hits embedded within this song. Down n Out, released as a single in April, has been described as “powerful, funky, & efficient.”  It’s impossible to not stay stunned while listening to this.” Finally, Wake Up caps the EP.  An epic song about keeping your mind & body in tune with your surroundings. It kicks off with an edgy, rap-influenced verse, followed by progressive rock instrumental sections, & a melodically dramatic chorus filled with internal emotion. This song is an appropriate send off.

As a result of this project being written during quarantine, the lyrical content uses intense imagery to depict an imaginary social life. Specialists found themselves writing about social interactions that they’ve gone so long without. Within the dual vocal parts, you will find a characterization of the bandmates themselves singing about where they long to be.

Music Submission, Jordana Lilly

Artist or Band Name:
Jordana Lilly
Jordana is an LA based singer-songwriter who brings a pop touch to her soulful sound. The theatricality of her songs reflect her musical theatre roots - her new upcoming single Locked Up is no exception. It's a funky dance bop summing up the narrative of feeling like you're a prisoner of your own mind (thnx anxiety!). Through ongoing stormy sea metaphors, it takes you on the journey from "I can't believe I'm trapped with me" to "I can't believe I get to be trapped with me!" Being "locked up" and forced to look inward is something everyone can relate to right now. Locked Up reasons that being stuck with yourself is a cause for celebration.

Thanks so much!

Music Submission, KXG

Artist or Band Name:
KXG
A 21 year old bi-racial emerging Hip-Hop artist out of St.Louis, Missouri that goes by KXG (King). Originally born in Farmington, Missouri I moved over 25 times by the age of 18. This made life unstable making it hard to open up and trust others, even dropping out of high-school for a year before I went back to complete it. I was in and out of homeless shelters, sleeping on bus benches, roach infested motels even checking into hospitals to avoid sleeping on the streets when eviction notices got handed out. As most do under these conditions I got into a lot of trouble as a child, luckily I was able to turn myself around at a young age whenever I found a passion for personal development. I found a 9-5 and started working my way up as I was investing into my music career. I taught myself how to produce, design cover art, make clothes, edit videos, mix and master. I know this all sounds great but honestly I was fearful. I simply never wanted to feel like I was incapable or held back by any sort of lack of knowledge especially when dealing with my passion. This explains why my brand is focused around becoming the best version of yourself, becoming a leader... A King. My mission statement is to turn my pain into principle through my actions and music for others to enjoy. My music is available for you on all your favorite platforms, I've also been featured on Local Tampa radio stations, approved by 88.1 Fm in NC , and pending STL Hot 365 Radio. I've also had my music featured in a handful of local establishments, from barber shops, hookah lounges, even T-Mobile! If you're willing to be a part of this journey please take the time to consider my music and it would mean a lot if you followed and/or subscribed to my social media it would be more than appreciated.
