Melanie Young co-founded the Starchild Project with Lloyd Pye in 1999, after she was given an unusual skull later dubbed the “Starchild Skull”, from a private collection.  As a neonatal nurse Melanie recognized that it was not a common deformity, and felt it deserved scientific investigation. Melanie has appeared in documentaries such as National Geographic's "Ancient Astronauts", and continues to give lectures and radio interviews about the Starchild Skull.

Melanie received her nursing education from Methodist School of Nursing, in Lubbock ,Texas, graduating in 1984. She specialized in Neonatal Nursing for over 10 years, caring for critically ill newborns and pediatric patients. She spent the majority of her career in a teaching hospital where she obtained experience and understanding of both common and rare deformities and genetic mutations.

During her career as a nurse she taught nursing students and Medical students basic assessment skills and technical skills in dealing with critically ill newborns.

After retiring from nursing, Melanie became a Massage Therapist and owned a wellness clinic for another 10 years. During this time she taught advanced anatomy and physiology at a local community college. Later she was asked to develop and run a therapeutic massage program at the high standards required by entry level colleges. She was considered by many to be one of the top Massage Therapists and Massage Therapy Instructors in the state of Texas. She has taught numerous massage classes through the state and internationally.

 Her expertise in anatomy and her nursing background have proven invaluable in her role within the Starchild Project. She worked closely with Lloyd Pye at conferences and lectures, and is currently the Chief Ethics Officer of the Starchild Project, ensuring that all research and operations are conducted to the highest ethical standards.

Kewaunee Lapseritis, AS, BA, MS, is a Holistic Health Consultant, Master Herbalist and Master Dowser with background in anthropology, psychology, conservation, and holistic health. His academic degrees are from: Greenfield Community College, Greenfield, Massachusetts; University of New Hampshire—Durham; North Adams State College, in North Adams, Massachusetts, and University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee. He also attended Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Kewaunee taught anthropology for one year at North Adams State College and later taught dowsing and psychic development at the Wisconsin Society for Psychic Reasearch—Milwaukee. As a world authority on the Bigfoot/Sasquatch phenomenon, he has meticulously researched the subject for the last 55 years. Mr. Lapseritis is also a social scientist and both a Sasquatch and ET “contactee.”

As a world traveler, an amateur naturalist, and avid backpacker with wilderness skills, Mr. Lapseritis spent five years out of the country living in England, East Africa, and Japan, later immigrating to Australia, and has visited over 40 countries around the globe. He was in the Himalayas in 1968 investigating the Yeti, or “abominable snowman.” In 1973, he conducted an ethnographic study in conjunction with the Colombian Institute of Anthropology in Bogota, living amongst the Tukuna Indians of Upper Amazonia.

In 1979, scientist Kewaunee Lapseritis was first telepathically contacted by a Sasquatch and an ET simultaneously, which was the shock of his life! To further complicate matters, the contact changed him and he developed psychic ability overnight, which triggered a spiritual transformation. Barbara Lamb is a Crop Circle and Alien Abduction Researcher, licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and Certified Hypnotherapist.

Linda Moulton Howe is a graduate of Stanford University with a Masters Degree in Communication. She has devoted her documentary film, television and radio career to productions concerning science, medicine and the environment.

Ms. Howe has received local, national and international awards, including three regional Emmys and a national Emmy nomination. Those films have included Poison in the Wind and A Sun Kissed Poison which compared smog pollution in Los Angeles and Denver; Fire In The Water about hydrogen as an alternative energy source to fossil fuels; A Radioactive Water about uranium contamination of public drinking water in a Denver suburb; and A Strange Harvest which explored the worldwide animal mutilation mystery which has haunted the United States and other countries from the mid-20th century to date.

Other documentary and writing work: Director of International Programming for Earthbeat, an environmental series broadcast on Ted Turner's WTBS Superstation, Atlanta, Georgia; The World of Chemistry for PBS; produced and hosted a two-hour special Earth Mysteries: Alien Life Forms in association with WATL-Fox, Atlanta; and produced three documentaries for UNICEF about international child survival efforts.

Linda produced an update to her original documentary, A Strange Harvest, about the continuing worldwide animal mutilation mystery in her independent production, Strange Harvests 1993. She also contracted with Paramount Studios as Supervising Producer and Original Concept creator for an hour special based on her Earth Mysteries program. That hour, UFO Report: Sightings, was first broadcast in October 1991 and led to the Sightings series on the Fox network.

In July 2003, Linda traveled to England to report about the proliferation of crop formations and associated small, mysterious lights there and in other European countries. In February 2003, Linda traveled to Corguinho, Brazil, to collect physical evidence related to unusual phenomena for scientific study.
