MYOA

MYOA is a Singer/Songwriter whose musical journey has catapulted her from the beautiful coast of West Africa to the Queen’s land in England UK, and finally to the immensely diverse and invigorating music scene of the USA. 



In the words of Myoa, which means “God brings joy,” “I was created to inspire and impact certain truths and to give joy to people who listen to my music.” The eldest of three, Myoa began singing in school choirs, competitions and concerts as a young child, penning her first song at the age of 9. “I used to organize mini singing concerts with my sisters and write poems on the blackboard in our dining room.” Although her deep-seeded desire for a career in music continued, she opted for a traditional career path and headed off to pursue a college degree.

 

It was while studying at the University of Plymouth in South West England that she honed her songwriting and keyboard skills and discovered her individuality and purpose. “I spent a lot of my spare time in my room writing music on my keyboard when I wasn’t around the social circle. I became comfortable and confident in who I was and who I wanted to be.” Upon graduation, Myoa pursued a career in Finance and settled into a lifestyle filled with stability and structure, but lacked what she loved most; her music. Feeling there was more to life than the life of number crunching as an accountant, Myoa opted for another path. Resigning from her job, she packed her bags (along with her Master’s Degree & Chartered Certified Qualification in Finance) and decided to explore opportunities to study music in the USA, the sunny, palm tree riddled streets of Los Angeles CA to be exact!

 

Enrolling at Hollywood California’s heralded Musicians Institute, Myoa dove in head first, learning the art of vocal performance & music production and landing a highly coveted internship at the world’s largest music company, Universal Music Group. The rest is history…

 

Myoa sees greater benefit in creating her own lane in the music business than trying to imitate the rifts and runs of today’s Pop & R&B Superstars. “I can’t be someone that I’m not. My voice and my music come from God and there’s no sense in trying sing songs that don’t speak to me or reflect what’s in my soul.” Often compared to the likes of Sade, Basia and Des’ree both of whom enjoyed World Wide acclaim and success.

Co-Produced by Myoa & some other acclaimed Producers. Myoa, believes that recording her first album, Beautiful Journey, “validates all my hard work as an independent artist.”

 

Sure the business is changing, but Myoa loves to take risks. “Music has been embedded in me and so it’s hard for me to imagine life without listening to music, singing or writing. I usually tell myself to keep going; it will all be worth it. I call it faith, and that’s what drives me.”

 

Currently residing in Houston Texas and quickly amassing a local following, Myoa performs live with her band at Hip Trendy Intimate venues.

Cattle Rancher

Mark has a herd of Black and Red Angus cattle in Eastern Colorado.  His cattle graze in open pastures during the summer and are fed a combination of hay and grain during the winter. His herd expands every spring with the addition of calves. Mark's herd has grown to over 50 with more calves on the way.

School Board Member

Mark was the longest serving school board member for Lewis-Palmer School District 38 since term limits were enacted.  He was elected three times serving 12 years. He served twice as President and held every position during his tenure.  Lewis-Palmer is a high-achieving school district with one of the highest on-time graduation rates in the state of Colorado.

During his tenure the school district maintained a balanced budget, increased reserves, and was ranked as one of the top ten school districts in Colorado.

He completed his fourth and final term in December of 2019.

Patrick Neville is an American politician and a member of the Colorado House of Representatives from the 45th District, which includes much of Douglas County. A Republican, Neville currently serves as the Minority Leader of the House, having been elected to this position at the beginning of his second term in January 2017.

Kellee White, M.A., LMFT

Kellee-White-Spiritual-MediumKellee White is a licensed Psychotherapist and Spiritual Medium, practicing with celebrities, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, politicians as well as individuals, couples and families in her Beverly Hills, CA office. Her specialties involve her work with trauma, loss, grief counseling, changes and transitions, and fear of death. A major goal of Kellee’s therapy is to heal the soul which may include receiving a message from a loved one who has passed on to the other side. Also, Kellee works with individuals and groups to further enhance the growth of their soul. An hour with Kellee might well be the most exciting, informative, healing hour of your life!

A native of Los Angeles, Kellee climbed the corporate ladder as a senior executive. The Universe intervened in 2000 when Kellee suffered a traumatic brain injury that changed her life forever. Completely confused and not comprehending what was happening, Kellee found herself seeing and talking to “dead people.” Understanding her newly found gift and the journey she embarked upon is the subject of her nearly completed book. To further enhance her ability to help others she returned to graduate school and received her Master’s in Psychology with an emphasis on marriage family therapy.

Born and raised in The Adirondack Mountains in New York, Rev. CJ and his husband Richard have a home there for a summer retreat.  Rev. CJ and Richard have been partnered twenty-seven years and were married in 2004. They have two adult sons.  Rev. CJ holds degrees in Education from Mater Dei College and Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School and is an Adjunct Professor of Ministerial Formation at Meadville Lombard Theological School. He served the Florida UU Ministers Association as Good Officer or Minister to Ministers. Prior to the ministry, Rev. CJ held leadership roles in non-profit organizations in New York and Massachusetts. Rev. McGregor most served as the Developmental Minister at First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Palm Beaches in North Palm Beach from 2013 through 2017.  Rev. CJ has served congregations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He served as Director of Religious Education for eight years in a Massachusetts congregation. He has served as a hospice chaplain and a chaplain in a forensic unit of a Massachusetts state hospital. He's served the denomination as Commissioner of the Commission on Social Witness and has served the Journey Toward Wholeness Committee. Rev. CJ describes himself as a theist with strong humanist leanings. That is, he feels held by something greater and believes we can save ourselves if we are committed to love and justice. He holds the freedom of belief dear and teaches that we all have a place at the table and encourages Unitarian Universalists to walk the talk by welcoming everyone regardless of beliefs. Rev. CJ describes his ministry as pastoral, stating that he receives the greatest satisfaction from being in a relationship with congregants and offering care, support, and guidance.

Julianne understands all of the struggles that you are experiencing as a pitcher.  As a young athlete, Julianne wanted nothing more than to be a pitcher.  Unforunately, her first attempts at pithing were described by her father as “looking like a drunk stork.” Undeterred, Julianne went to her first camp at Hofstra University and fell in love with the complexity and intensity of the pitching motion.  She worked so hard at the camp that she slept for 14 hours her first day back.

The camp gave her all of the motivation she needed.  She made her parent’s basement into a shrine for pitching, complete with motivational quotes that she wrote on the walls.  She put in thousands of hours of practice in that basement and emerged a new pitcher and a new person.  She proceeded to become an All-County Athlete, the recipient of a Division I athletic scholarship, and an academic All-American.  She was instrumental in leading her team to win the MAAC Conference during her freshman year.

Unfortunately, learning the motion wasn’t the only hurdle that Julianne had to overcome.  A tear to her ulnar cartilage required surgery, took a year of rehabilitation, and nearly destroyed her collegiate career.

Julianne thought she would never pitch again, which is why she is currently obsessed with injury prevention and was a researcher in Lenox Hill’s study on “The Performance Demand of Softball Pitching.”  Several years after she finally recovered fully from surgery, she became one of the few pitchers to ever pitch a win against the world-famous Brakettes.  She has used all that she has through her struggles to produce countless award-winning athletes.
