A Message from Veronica --
Hello Again,
FREEDOM they yell. FREEDOM MY WAY. The caravans block business. People are afraid of one another. Which side are you on we ask a dear sister, or beloved friend. The distance beyond the covid demands, gets more rigid. We are afraid of one another. We have to find safety. Is that freedom? It seems like a cage. Maybe a gilded cage. I know in my healing work that extricating ourselves from our “cages of belief” makes life flow more generously. We begin to feel freedom fluswithhes of fresh thought and feeling.
Vaccines. I chuckle at the terror of people about what the vaccines could do to them. Yet the very same people eat foods full of chemicals that make food seem interesting or long lasting. O we wear makeup, ingest all kinds of Pharmaceuticals poisoned with chemicals in their healing potions which seems to be justifying and enfolding this poisoning. They possibly distort our hormones, or basic brain chemistry, while adding many chemicals that in turn need their own healing. Is that better than a vaccine? The discussion of vaccines should include some of the biological changes inexplicably roaring through our species. How did it start? Is it just a part of our evolution? Or from the plethora of chemicals that we have thrown into the mixture. Like autism…Autism affectionately known as “the spectrum”. A growing number of children are coping with this different way of thinking and behaving. Are they simply distortions? Or just genetic influences whipping changes throughout humanity? Add the media INFLUENCERS! and stories they promote through many reports with the same messages. Is it promoting a style of thinking? To direct attitudes and fashions of thought and behavior, including both acceptance and dissension. Add polls to keep us really confused or for some of you, assured that you are on track, on the right thought process. Some attitudes and anxieties poison huge segments of society. It makes money. To find out what you believe in, follow the money. Or STOP. Breathe deeply. Release tension. Then feel your own truth, your understanding of what you believe so we can each make a choice on our own behalf. One at a time, outside the storms of dissension, let's reclaim our ability to evolve consciously.
Is it time for your session, to peer into your own inner growth for the latest level of YOU?
Much love

Real Stories: Healing PTSD with EMDR
On this episode of Responder Resilience we hear from a veteran, firefighters, paramedics, police officers and dispatcher who have used EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to overcome traumatic stress. This is an up close and personal look at how EMDR changed the lives of several responders, who courageously stepped up to share their stories so that others might see positive solutions to the growing mental health crisis within emergency services. Watch the SHOW TRAILER: https://youtu.be/LbbDb08ZBZc
First responders are repeatedly exposed to the most traumatic moments of other people's lives. This cumulative stress and trauma, along with lack of sleep and unhealthy lifestyle can lead to PTSD. It's estimated that up to 24% of dispatchers, and 35% of police officers suffer from PTSD.* Estimates suggest that as many as 400 firefighter and EMT deaths by suicide occur each year.** The risk of addiction and suicide increases when PTSD, depression, or other mental health issues are left untreated. The responder community is starting to recognize the severity of this mental health crisis, and is taking action to get help. The stigmas and culture around speaking openly and honestly about PTSD and mental health challenges are changing dynamically, as barriers are coming down.

NEW MEMOIR
“From Headstocks To Woodstock –A Drummer’s Tale”
and release Deluxe Version of
'A Sting in the Tale'
Exclusive ZOOM Interview!
Ric Lee has penned a new memoir called From Headstocks to Woodstock focusing on his long music career, including his adventures with the famous U.K. blues-rock outfit.
The 448-page tome is available now exclusively from Lee's official website, RicLeeTYA.com.
"It was something I'd always wanted to do, and I actually started it more than 10 years ago, but kept stopping and starting for various reasons," Lee explains in a statement. "Then a chance conversation with a friend in Los Angeles persuaded me to get it finished."
Ten Years After was led by singer guitarist Alvin Lee and had a series of popular albums in the late 1960s and early '70s. In the U.S., the band is best known for their scorching performing of "I'm Going Home" at the 1969 Woodstock Festival and their hit "I'd Love to Change the World," which peaked at #40 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1971.
Ric says some of the highlights in the book for him are "[m]y early days in bands in the Mansfield (my hometown) area, my stories about meeting people like Sir David Frost, Muhammad Ali, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Miles Davis and many others, and, of course, playing at Woodstock."
Lee adds that he hopes his memoir will "also be an inspiration to any aspiring young musicians to keep going against all adversity to finally win through."
While Alvin Lee died in 2013 at age 68 from heart surgery complications, Ten Years after has continued on and currently is led by Ric and founding keyboardist Chick Churchill. The band is working on a new studio effort that's due out later this year and is planning to release a deluxe version of its 2017 album A Sting in the Tale in March.

For fans of Alvin Lee, Ten Years After, and Classic Rock! Over fifty years since the release of their eponymous debut album in 1967, Ten Years After has returned with a new studio album containing twelve tracks titled “A Sting In The Tale”. This “Deluxe Edition” also contains 4 live tracks from the bands recent tour including an amazing rendition of the smash hit “I’d Love To Change The World”, which remains as relevant today as when first released in 1971. The beginning of their meteoric rise to fame can be pinpointed to their performance at The Woodstock Music and Arts Festival in August 1969. The audience were blown away by the intensity of the band’s performance and their unique combination of Jazz, Blues and Rock, and their enigmatic frontman Alvin Lee. This made them one of the biggest bands of the early 70’s. As well as original members Ric Lee (Drums) and Chick Churchill (Keys), the band now features Bass Icon Colin Hodgkinson (Peter Green, Spencer Davis, Chris Rea) and multi-award winning Guitarist/Vocalist Marcus Bonfanti (Van Morrison, Ginger Baker, Ronnie Wood). The title “A Sting In The Tale” reflects the same sentiment Ric & Chick wished to convey in the 2015 live album “The Name Remains The Same”. Although the band lineup has changed and the music continues to evolve and grow fifty years on, the sound of the band will always be heavily rooted in the way they paved the way during the late sixties and early seventies and will never forget its incredible heritage. This new record is the ‘Sting’ in the continuing Tale of Ten Years After.

Following the Woodstock Festival in August 1969 and the subsequent movie in 1970, Ric's band, Ten Years After, became huge on the world stage. Ric's autobiography charts the journey from the coal mining town of Mansfield in the UK to performing alongside the greats and in some of the biggest venues of the music scene: The Newport Jazz Festival with Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention, Miles Davis and The Godfather of Soul, James Brown all became part of Ric's life and enhanced the band's burgeoning worldwide appeal. Other festivals: The Miami, Atlanta and Texas Pop Festivals, 1970's Isle of Wight Festival (with Jimi Hendrix and The Who) and headlining London's Albert Hall, New York's Madison Square Garden and Tokyo's Budokan, further exposed the band's music to a global audience. It's thought that Ric performed to almost 4 million people a year between 1969 and 1975, not including the estimated 300,000 to 500,000 who saw their amazingly powerful performance at Woodstock nearly fifty years ago. A must read for anyone who wants to find out more about the music scene in the mid twentieth century and at a time when revolution in music was in the air.

An Empowered Survivor, Michelle knows the difference between being empowered and just surviving.
Michelle was the victim of 6 rapes and one sexual assault beginning at 5 years of age, has experienced the persecution and challenges of her permanent pain work-related injury, has been stalked and powerless, and has lost some close to her to domestic murder.
Now Michelle helps people to stop being at the mercy of their trauma and triggers.
When a 17-year-old girl in Europe was allowed to die because she was struggling with the trauma of sexual assault, it broke Michelle’s heart.
She decided to share her knowledge and offer a voice in what has been a sea of silence.
Michelle is an advocate for change in sexual assault culture, and for those who have experienced sexual assault, and in 1997 set a legal precedent around sexual assault.
In 2010 Michelle disempowered a sexual predator and stopped him from raping her because she didn’t respond like a victim.
Michelle authored: “Insight Up Close and Personal Profile of Sexual Assault” for communities to better identify sexual predators and respond in a more resourceful way to the trauma of sexual assault.
Michelle has the processes and knowledge that set her, and clients, permanently free of trauma, triggers, and PTSD.

In her long and distinguished career, CHARLENE DREW JARVIS has held positions as a neuroscientist, legislator and university president.
Dr. Jarvis’ educational background led to a career as a neuroscientist at the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda, Md. (1971-1978). She received a BS from Oberlin College (1962), an MS from Howard University (1964), and a PhD in Neuropsychology (1971) from the University of Maryland, all the while balancing the demands of being a wife and mother of two active young boys.
Her research with co-investigators appeared in scientific publications such as the Annals of Neurology; Neuroscience Abstracts; Brain Research; the Journal of Neurophysiology; and Brain, Behavior and Evolution.
Responding to the need to help rebuild the economy of Washington, DC, after the riots that followed the death of Martin Luther King, Jr., Jarvis ran for public office and was elected 6 times to the Council of the District of Columbia (1979-2000).
Her work as Chair of the Committee on Economic Development for more than 20 years was pioneering. The Washington Convention Center, the Verizon Center, Business Improvement Districts, Tax Increment Financing, and legislative initiatives designed to prevent redlining by commercial banks stand as important and collaborative contributions.
Dr. Jarvis was appointed in 1996 as president of Southeastern University, founded by the YMCA in 1879. True to the mission of the YMCA, her goal was to give students both theoretical and practical applications of knowledge. Thirteen years later, in 2009, she orchestrated a unique merger of the University with the USDA Graduate School in Washington, DC.
The Honorable Charlene Drew Jarvis was named one of the most powerful women in Washington by “Washingtonian Magazine” in 1989, 1994, and 2007 and by “The Washington Business Journal” in 1985.
Jarvis’ legacy as the daughter of Dr. Charles R. Drew, the blood bank pioneer, has given her a special perspective as an advocate for science and health education. In her association with the American Red Cross, Dr. Jarvis has traveled to many Red Cross and Bone Marrow sites around the nation to speak about her father’s accomplishments and to encourage the participation of minority blood and marrow donors. In 2014, Dr. Jarvis was given an award for her service from the Washington, DC, Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Dr. Jarvis is the recipient of more than 100 awards for her leadership, including honorary doctorates from Amherst College, George Washington University, Oberlin College, and a Distinguished Alumni Award from Howard University.
Charlene Drew Jarvis is valued for her analytical skills, intellectual rigor, probing questions, and pragmatic approach to problem solving. These traits made her advisory contributions much in demand by dozens of major organizations and commissions.
Describing herself now as the “working” retired, Dr. Jarvis serves:
- on the Executive Committee of the Federal City Council, with its Executive Director, former Mayor Anthony Williams;
- on The Advisory Committee of the Newseum;

- on the Transition Committee of Mayor Muriel Bowser
- on the board of the University of the District of Columbia
- on the Cross-Sector Task Force on Charter and DC Public Schools led by Deputy Mayor for Education, Jennie Niles
Dr. Jarvis is the mother of the late Peter David, and Ernest Drew Jarvis (Debbi Lockhart Jarvis) and grandmother to EJ and Jacob Jarvis.
In 2013, she married Dr. DeMaurice Moses, a retired pediatrician whose family shared summers with her family in a beach community outside of Annapolis, Md.
