A Message from Veronica --

Hello Again,

FREEDOM they yell.  FREEDOM MY WAY.   The caravans block business.  People are afraid of one another.  "Which side are you on?" we ask a dear sister, or beloved friend.  The distance beyond the covid demands, gets more rigid.  In the fear of one another. We have to find safety.  Is that freedom?   Or is it a cage?  Maybe a gilded cage for survival.   I know in my healing work that extricating ourselves from our “cages of belief” makes life easier and certainly healthier.   Take a few minutes and experience your own litany of beliefs one at a time.   Release what you can, like "all big ladies hurt."  Or “if I get caught in the wind, I will get sick.”   As we sometimes laugh at our old definitions, we feel freedom in the flushes of fresh thoughts and feelings we discover.

Vaccines.   I chuckle at the terror of people about what the vaccines could do to them.  So much is conspiracy biz.   We don’t know. Yet the very same people eat foods full of chemicals that make food seem interesting or long lasting and actually addictive.  Or we wear makeup, ingest all kinds of Pharmaceuticals or layer them on our skin, poisoned with chemicals, in healing potions which seems to be justifying and enfolding this poisoning.  They possibly distort our hormones, or basic brain chemistry, our babies, other balances, while those chemicals in turn, need their own healing.  Is that better than a vaccine? The discussion of vaccines, if you are wise enough and calm enough to be in actual exploring discussions about this hot issue, should include our awareness of the number of biological changes inexplicably roaring through our species.   How did they start?  Just a part of our evolution?  Or can they be distortions from the plethora of chemicals that we have thrown into the mixture.   Like autism… Autism affectionately known as “the spectrum”.   A growing number of children are coping with this different way of thinking and behaving.  Are these genetic influences whipping changes throughout humanity?

Then we add media INFLUENCERS!  “News” stories flow anxiety and dissension through stories they rerun through many news sources.  Or what are the real sources?  Why do they seem to be the same messages?   It’s as if they want to promote how to be and what to know.   They direct attitudes and fashions of thoughts and behaviors, including both acceptance and dissension.  Stir in the polls that seem to keep us confused, or for some of you, assured that you are on track, in the right thought process.  When some attitudes and anxieties poison huge segments of society.

For some these influence makes them more money.   To find out what you actually believe in:   Follow the money.  Then STOP.   Breathe deeply.  Release tension.  Then feel your own truth, your understanding of 'me'. A need for harmony, OR Peace OR Care of resources OR Great Education OR what your personal beliefs aim at. So, you can make a choice on behalf of life.  One at a time let's claim our ability to evolve consciously.

Much love

Veronica

Headlined Show, Responder Resilience February 23, 2022

In this episode, David and Stacy speak with Matt Domyancic, The Tactical Chaplain, about how to enjoy a career that provides deeper meaning to your spiritual life. Matt will share some strategies for transitioning from a responder career while staying highly connected with the job and the mission.  We’ll also learn what a Patrol Chaplain is.

Matt is a medically retired police officer who volunteers as a chaplain and peer support for police agencies in Los Angeles. Matt believes all first responders can have careers that provide deeper meaning and add richness to their spiritual lives if approached in the right manner. He worked patrol, Peer Support, SWAT, and was a full-time police academy instructor.

Matt speaks about the hurdles of the emergency services professions, especially in a culture with macho attitudes, and the reluctance to seek help or to practice self care. He also talks about how being a cop be an opportunity to learn about psychology, ministry and humanity. He shares his vision for creating retreats combining Warrior Alpha-Male activities like tactical shooting with stress management, and finding meaning in suffering and adversity.

Matt’s definition of spirituality is the living out of your most important values and beliefs. He sees spirituality as a police officer to be how you relate to your community and humanity. Who more than cops are involved in the nitty-gritty of a community? He views spirituality as how you relate to your higher power, and as part of the framework for how you continue to find meaning and purpose through change, loss, adversity and suffering, which is inevitably coming to everybody, and which cops are immersed in.    Who more than cops, whether they say they’re spiritual or not, understands the highs and lows of the things that human beings are going through, because they’re immersed in that stuff all the time. Matt has seen some of the most hard-nosed cops turn out to be some of the most empathetic and compassionate people, helping somebody cope after a rape or a murder. He saw this as a cop, and now he sees it as a chaplain.

Interviewing The Legends Guest, Mike Reno March 16, 2021
Canadian musician, singer and the lead singer of the legendary rock band Loverboy

L O V E R B O Y

Limited vinyl LP pressing of the Canadian rock band's 1980 debut, released to coincide with the album's

40th anniversary.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

with

M I KE  R E N O

Lead singer of the legendary rock band

Canadian Music Hall of Fame group, LOVERBOY, celebrates the 40th anniversary of their 5x Platinum-certified, self-titled album Loverboy this year. To commemorate this sonic work of art, the group releases a special limited-edition vinyl of the legendary rock classic today via Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc.

Originally released in October 1980, Loverboy features many fan-favourite singles, including “The Kid Is Hot Tonight”, “Turn Me Loose” and “Little Girl” – the latter serving as the inspiration behind the iconic album sleeve artwork. Contemporary Canadian artist Barbara Astman was commissioned to create the cover art, and brilliantly typed the lyrics from “Little Girl” onto a self-portrait Polaroid as it developed. The 2020 special edition is printed with a full cover emboss on Astman’s typed text to pay homage to this process.

While reminiscing about making the album and the musical test of time, lead vocalist Mike Reno reveals, “Boy did we get lucky in late 1979 to work with the best in the business, Bruce Fairbairn and Bob Rock..... oh and don’t forget Mike Frazer. This record still sounds great.” Echoing Reno, Guitarist Paul Dean confirms, “Considering we recorded ‘Get Lucky’ 40 years ago, I think it holds up really well. Especially on this new deluxe vinyl edition, I would say it’s the best it’s ever sounded.”

Loverboy went on to become a major Canadian rock hit, winning a record-breaking six awards at the 1982 Juno’s – a record the band still holds today. Upon release, the album sold more than 700,000 copies in Canada, two million copies in the U.S. and four million copies worldwide. The band’s success catapulted them into the Top 5 touring acts in the world, making them the first Canadian group to ever earn Columbia Records’ exclusive Crystal Globe Award, celebrating the sale of over five million albums outside their native country. Since 1992, the band has maintained a steady road presence, with Sony/Legacy releasing a greatest hits compilation. The group was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the 2009 Juno Awards.

Life Changes Show Guest, SCARLETT CURTIS March 15, 2021
Holistic Nutritionist, Reiki Master, and Intuitive Energy Healer

SCARLETT CURTIS

My name is Scarlett and I am a Holistic Nutritionist, Reiki Master, and Intuitive Energy Healer. I help people heal and move forward on their path through a combination of energy healing, nutritional guidance and spiritual support.

My journey into the realm of holistic health and healing started nearly 11 years ago in 2009 when I was searching for ways to heal myself from a number of imbalances including Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), adult acne, food allergies, chemical allergies, bulimia, hormonal imbalances, insomnia, chronic depression and anxiety.

Over the years, I experienced fatigue, heart palpitations, hypoglycemia, adrenal burnout, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), chronic yeast infections, constipation, UTIs, Baker’s cysts, viral autoimmune and parasitic infection. It literally felt like I had everything wrong with me.

I also had a lot of built up emotions from growing up in a toxic household. On top of that I was a deeply empathic child, very sensitive to energy and was overwhelmed by the ability to sense the emotions of everyone around me. I felt very alone. I was raised atheist, which made it difficult for me to recognize that I could see, hear, and sense both energy and spirits around me. I thought everybody was like this. I didn’t know I was different.

Searching for health answers, emotional balance, and self acceptance lead me to discover my passion for holistic nutrition, herbs, meditation, and my gift as an intuitive energy healer, guide and empath. I accepted the fact that I could see and feel energy, and had a deep connection with Spirit. I stopped hiding my gifts.

By 2014 I was certified as a Reiki Master Practitioner, Master Clairvoyant Reader and Energy Healer. After years of studying natural healing on my own to heal myself, in 2015 I completed my first certification as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Nutrition Response Testing practitioner with the goal of helping others to heal themselves too. I am also happy to announce that in Spring 2020 I completed a M.S. in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine.

Today I have the pleasure of working with people of all different ages and walks of life, including both adults and children. Sometimes we are working with the physical body on building health through natural approaches, while other times the sessions stay primarily in the emotional and spiritual realm– cleansing the energy field and nervous system of various past traumas, built up emotions, outdated habits, karma and any negative thought patterns acquired through out the course of our lives and daily interactions.

I also love working with children and teenagers. I always think, “what if I had the coping mechanisms and spiritual tools I have now when I was growing up?”…how much less suffering I might have gone through. This is why it is so important to me to support empathic, sensitive children who are going through periods of sadness, confusion, stress, self hate, anxiety, anger etc. while extending guidance to parents who seek it.

My intention is to provide an integrative approach to healing that supports each person mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. We are all complex, multidimensional beings who deserve this type of care on every level in order to feel balanced and whole.
