The gap between Black and White homeownership is wider than it was 50+ years ago, before the 1968 Fair Housing Act was enacted to create equal housing opportunities for minorities. Homeownership is less achievable for Blacks at a rate of 46.4%, compared to 75.8% of Whites. But, why? And why are homes in predominantly Black neighborhoods valued at $48,000 less than White ones, further contributing to the racial wealth gap?
 
Enter Tomeka Lynch Purcell, an advocate of financial empowerment, author, serial entrepreneur and self-made millionaire who specializes in the delivery of financial education including seminars, workshops, curricula and training. As the founder of PMG Worldwide, Tomeka educates first-time homebuyers on the importance of purchasing a home.

In his role, Chris supports business development for Monterey to help the sales team find and develop key relationships that will lead to new client segments and markets for the company. His ability to look for creative opportunities that differentiate from what competitors are doing has led to a number of strategic partnerships that have grown annual finance sales significantly. He led Monterey through its first acquisition in 2017, which added a substantial new business line, and he actively works on new industries and B2B ventures to increase Monterey’s revenue by expanding its markets, products, and client base.  
 
With an influx of various Fintech programs entering the market over the last ten years, Chris believes that companies with long-term success are those that understand the importance of performance and compliance to ensure longevity for their clients.  
 
Chris’s professional experience has always been centered in sales and in the past 20 years he has serviced a number of industries. Bible scholar David S. Heeren says there is evidence indicating we have entered the early phase of the end of days. Yet he remains optimistic. His latest book on end-time prophecy, End-Time Living: Despite Conflict and Hardship, All Is Well, defines a Christian lifestyle that will produce fulfillment and joy even under the prophesied duress of the end-time. Heeren posits that no matter what believers must endure during the tribulation — and no matter how bad things get — those who stand firm for Him until the end will be blessed.

“This book’s greatest theme by far is love,” Heeren says. “I have been trained as an evangelist, but there can be no greater evangelism tool in the world than the redemptive love Jesus displayed on the cross.”

End-Time Living draws its messaging from the second half of the Bible, featuring details from relevant sermons of Jesus (Matthew 5-7, 24 and Luke 21) and the eight chapters of the beautiful allegory, Song of Songs.
