Music Submission, The Rising Waters

Artist or Band Name:
The Rising Waters

The Rising Waters is an alternative electronic indie project from Ukraine. The music of the band was influenced by such bands as Radiohead, Daughter, A Perfect Circle and The Kills.
The band was formed in the winter of 2017 by composer Andrey Savin and singer Jay. The first band’s EP was released on the 1st of June, 2018. It contains 6 songs, which can be characterized as atmospheric, dreamy and a little trance-y at times.
In 2018 the band played a couple of shows in Russia and released 3 videos (for “Stay”, “The Rising Waters” and “Never On The Radio”). In 2019 the band played a show in Kyiv and released a new single “Intuition” and a video for the single. At the moment The Rising Waters are working on new material.

When you get into The Rising Waters’ world be prepared to some slightchanges of your mood since the music tends to play with it, making youexperience a wide range of emotions. We do not recommend driving or doing things that require concentration while listening to the Rising Waters since the music can completely drag you into its world thus it could be dangerous.

Music Submission, Pink Lemon Music

Pink Lemon Music CLONES album cover
Artist or Band Name:
Pink Lemon Music
Pink Lemon Music is a YouTube collaboration established in 2009 between UK-based singer Justin L. Fraser and German-based songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Ezy and his childhood friend and bassist/guitarist Joffrey.
Within a year 12 collaborative songs had been released on their former channel pinklemonmusic, building a solid fanbase with over 4.5k subscribers and 4 - 5 figure views per video. Plans were made to release a debut album but the project was forced into an indefinite hiatus when all three collaborators had to prioritize other aspects in their life. It wasn’t until 2017 when Ezy and Joffrey decided to give PLM another shot and sent new instrumentals Ezy had been working on to the UK, hoping to re-ignite the flame of Justin’s passion for music and to provide a framework for him to expose himself and his abilities and a singer and lyricist. His response was overwhelming and he immediately set himself to writing and recording. This worked as a catalyst for Ezy to enter new creative realms and further evolve the style of PLM to a more synth-oriented sound. The 2019 release of the debut album CLONES not only marks the 10th anniversary of PLM but also represents the first batch of songs that were written after the hiatus. Just like in back in 2009 they were being recorded in 2 bedrooms in 2 European countries. Out came 10 songs in the realms of Spacewave/Synthwave, a mix of nostalgia and modernity with strong references to the collaborator’s musical heroes from the 80’s.

I first got in to making music when I was fifteen, two of my friends had a band and needed a bass player. I didn’t have a bass for the first few practices, but once I’d raised enough for an old Aria Pro 2 pointy headstock bass my family agreed to buy me a small amp and off I went.

We wrote our own material, mainly rocky stuff (our demo got reviewed in Kerrang!), but most of what we did was covers.

Gradually I got into other types of music than the LA rock scene, and started listening to grunge, alternative and the indie scene. I was a bit snobbish about dance music all those years ago, but gradually I ‘got it’, and got into Future Sound of London, Orbital, Underworld and all of the other UK electronica of the late 90s.

I originally started making my own tunes using an old Ensoniq ESQ-1 (I still use it to this day as a controller keyboard), a borrowed DR-5 drum machine and a dodgy rack mount delay that seemed to have a mind of its own.

Eventually I upgraded to a computer, a 200mhz machine that could handle Fruity Loops and Sound Forge. I made my first album on this way back in 2002.

Around 2004 I wrote off my car in a crash, and used the insurance money to buy a lovely fast PC (a good decision, the world is a safer place without me driving in it) that could easily run Cubase and a load of plug ins. This is when I started recording as Kalabi, and in 2005 I had my first track released with the help of local producer and friend James Bright.

Since then I’ve released tracks all round the world, been ripped off by a German label with my first official album, sold tracks to United Airlines and Swedish airports, and got myself a credit on IMDB as a composer for a short film.

I also currently play bass in three local bands and produce two local songwriters.

Sadly, I don’t currently make enough from my music to not have to work, so on top of everything else I work five days a week as web programmer. My main goal is to make enough from music to be able to do it full time.
