Guest Biography:

DR. RANDALL BELL

Dr. Bell is the founder of Core IQ. As an economist and sociologist, his research has taken him to 50 states and seven continents. His cases include the World Trade Center, the Flight 93 Crash Site, the BP Oil Spill, Hurricane Katrina, the Nuclear Testing on the Bikini Atoll, and tragedies such as Jon Benet Ramsey, OJ Simpson, and the Heaven’s Gate mass suicide mansion.

The media often calls Dr. Bell the “Master of Disaster.” This experience has given him unprecedented access and insights into the cycle of disaster, recovery, and prosperity. He is known for his ability to analyze complex situations and present his findings in an interesting, organized, and intelligent way. Dr. Bell’s work has generated billions of dollars for his clients.

In Dr. Bell’s own words:

Having researched over 1,000 damage cases around the world, I can say that the world is a tough place. I’m in a pretty good position to “tell it as it is,” however I rather focus on “telling it as it can be.”

I imagine a world where everyone has full access to the life skills we all need but are not always taught in school. I see a world where everyone has access to the skills of goal setting, time management, conflict resolution, leadership, personal finance, etiquette, stress reduction, and much more. I’m convinced that these skills could have prevented some of the disasters I have seen. More importantly, they provide the foundation for people to not just survive but thrive.

The problem is that historically training for these skills has been limited to executives and the super-elite. However, everyone needs them. I founded Core IQ as a non-profit, educational foundation with the goal of providing these essential life skills to all, and never at any charge.

With Core IQ, I see a place where people can get authentic insights from top experts on life skills that have a measurable, positive impact. Our team is committed to continually researching new topics, producing more episodes, and working to increase the Core IQ of the world.

All we ask is for your feedback on how to improve, and to help spread the word.

Guest Occupation: Monster Guitarist and Songwriter Frank Marino of Classic Rock's 'Mahogany Rush'
Guest Biography:

Frank Marino is an invigorating virtuoso and champion guitar slinger who is also considered to be among the greatest players of all-time. The Montreal native and his assiduous band Mahogany Rush were one of the elite monster rock acts throughout the 70s.

The band performed on several prestigious television music shows including Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert and Burt Sugarman’s The Midnight Special hosted by the notorious Wolfman Jack. Marino jokingly stated that Mahogany Rush was mysteriously omitted from the Midnight Special DVD collector video library released to the public.

Mahogany Rush also played for more than 300,000 people at California Jam II in 1978. The televised concert featured Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, Santana, Dave Mason, Foreigner, Heart, Bob Welch (with Stevie Nicks and Mick Fleetwood), Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush and Rubicon.

Mahogany Rush was managed by Steve Leber and David Krebs, who also handled Aerosmith and Ted Nugent. Some of the bands most significant releases include, Maxoom, Child of the Novelty, Strange Universe, Mahogany Rush IV, World Anthem, Live, Tales of the Unexpected, What’s Next, From the Hip, Dragonfly(The best of  Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush), Eye of the Storm, and Real Live!(double live album).

The Sicilian -Syrian Marino captured the essence of Jimi Hendrix early on in his career. Rock and roll urban legend suggests that when Marino was a teen he was visited by an apparition of Jimi Hendrix after a bad LSD trip, which led to the spirit of Hendrix entering Marino’s body and bestowing his ability to play the guitar. Marino renounces the fabrication and says Hendrix was still alive while he was in the hospital recuperating from the LSD trip. But he did learn to play the guitar while recovering.

Frank Marino was widely recognized throughout his career as a master for performing Hendrix cover tunes. Marino’s cover versions were impeccable and audiences globally would ultimately embrace them. His cover tunes were commercially successful (“Roadhouse Blues” The Doors, “All Along the Watchtower,” “Purple Haze” Jimi Hendrix) but Marino was never pleased about his original material receiving virtually no airplay on FM radio.

Marino retired from the music business but returned in 2001, largely galvanized by his fan base. Most recently Frank Marino has been suffering from adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder) and gradually recuperating. The condition usually resolves itself within one or two years but restricts mobility and can generate intense pain. Marino is receiving extensive physiotherapy. The condition began after Marino spent tedious immeasurable hours in his studio meticulously editing his forthcoming Live DVD.

Guest Occupation: Black Police Officer Fired After Stopping Fellow Cop’s Assault on Handcuffed Man StoryApril 19, 2021 Watch Full Show
Guest Biography:

Cariol Holloman Horne of Buffalo, New York, is known for breaking the blue wall of silence -- the informal rule among police officers in the U.S. which prohibits them from reporting on a colleague’s misconducts, errors and crimes.

Horne was a police officer in Buffalo, where she was born and raised. On November 1, 2006, she stopped her fellow Buffalo Police Department officer Gregory Kwiatkowski from choking a handcuffed arrestee, an African-American man named Neal Mack.

The action that Officer Horne took, which she was later vilified for, may have in fact saved the life of Neal Mack. In the wake of the conviction of Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd, the question becomes whether similar actions would have saved his life.

Responding to a domestic dispute, and intervening to protect the suspect, Horne was charged with obstruction, sued by her fellow officer and later fired two months before her retirement, which resulted in the loss of her pension. Since Horne’s firing, she has become an outspoken activist against police brutality.

Cariol is a single mother of five children. She received the Harriet Tubman Award from the Erie County Legislature and was named Person of the Year by WUFO Radio. She received the Shero Award for Excellence in Community Service from the Los Angeles Urban Police Roundtable and was named UMOJA's Woman of the Year.

Named after her, the legislation called Cariol’s Law was signed into law in October 2020. The New York State Supreme Court reinstated her pension and ordered back pay on April 13, 2021.
