After graduating from Escambia County High School in Atmore, Lou signed a professional baseball contract with the St. Louis Cardinals. Over a ten-year career, Lou also played for the New York Yankees organization and coached in the Cincinnati Reds organization.

 Lou got his B.S. degree from Troy State University (AL), graduating after his baseball career. He coached a year in Troy, then spent four years with Merrill Lynch as an Account Executive. Lou moved into the training and development field with Pat Ryan and Associates of Chicago, Ill. in l974.

After 1980, he did contract training for numerous national organizations and over a thirty (30) year period worked with over 2,800 companies in 44 states and two foreign countries. A ten year resident of Arlington, Virginia, Dr. Ben Pearl has been a practicing physician in the Arlington and McLean area since 1992.

Recently selected as one of the Washingtonian Magazine’s top sports doctors, he is a graduate of the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He is a consultant at NIH and he is on an advisory board at FDA.

Dr. Pearl was recently featured in the Washington Post Magazine depicting his passion for skiing and teaching. He has had television interviews with Dr. Nancy on MSNBC on barefoot running and provided foot health information for News Channel 8.

Dr. Pearl is a fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. He is the team podiatrist for the District Track Club, an elite Olympic development track team in Washington DC.He serves as medical director for the SUNY New Paltz high school cross country camp. He offers foot and ankle care to patients of all ages.

He has also been a consultant at the National Institutes of Health and the FDA, and is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.

Chris Tai Melodista was born in Paris in 1974 to his Vietnamese mother and French-Jewish adoptive father. In his 20s, Chris traveled to Lhasa, Tibet, to deepen his practice in Buddhism at its source. During his stay, he had the opportunity to teach Kung Fu and Qi Gong to some of the monks.
