Mohamed Massaquoi is a 2005 Watkins Award Honoree.  He was a 5Star receiver who racked up enough awards and State Championships to be considered one of North Carolina's high school top receivers of all time.  Mohamed went on to play college football and graduate from the University of Georgia.  He's also a graduate of the Harvard MBA Executive Program.  While at Georgia, Mohamed was First Team All-SEC and SEC All Academic. He was drafted in the second round by the Cleveland Browns.  Mohamed played for several teams prior to his retirement and career as a dynamic speaker and successful entrepreneur.  

Dave grew up in a military family where hard work and sacrifice were taught. It is here that he learned the importance of our country and its impact on the world. A deep commitment to faith, patriotism, and civic duty are the cornerstones of his upbringing, as well as continual sources of strength and guidance.

Dave met his wife, Emily, his senior year of high school. They dated during their early years of college and married shortly after. They had their first child in December 2016.

He has served in several leadership capacities in both small business and local politics. Dave currently serves as Vice-President of Logistics for a manufacturing support services company where he helps bring businesses together to find tailored solutions for their customers.

From 2011-2013, Dave served as Vice-Chairman of the El Paso County Republican Party. While serving, he showed a steadfast commitment to the cause of liberty and freedom. Dave believes we need to encourage and hold accountable our elected representatives to support such principles.

In 2016, Dave was the first Latino elected to House District 15. He is providing new energy and enthusiasm that will help strengthen our community and Colorado. Dave is committed to working with the grassroots to further the cause of liberty and ensure that freedom is passed on to future generations.

Angela K. Pearson is passionate about her family. She is a devoted mother of three and enjoys helping her

happiness, she makes it a priority that they understand their basic human rights and encourages them to lead their lives with a moral compass. After her eldest son experienced an adverse reaction to a vaccine, she adopted a conservative approach to the sources from which she receives information. Angela has been a holistic enthusiast for 20 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and Community Health. She believes earning her degree is a bonus in her life, but it’s not what defines her. She is strongly convinced that having a college education doesn’t make a person smarter than a person without one and that education stems from being open to factual information that isn’t indoctrinated or one-sided.

Being informed on vaccine ingredients and their direct effects, she opted out of the CDC’s vaccine

scheduled program. Her daughter and youngest son never received any vaccinations, and are perfectly

healthy. Unfortunately, her eldest son was diagnosed with systemic lupus, the same autoimmune disease

Angela’s father had.

She advocates for informed consent regardless of where you stand on the matter and is confident that

vaccines are not a one-size-fits-all. Given her history, she believes that every child should have their family

history carefully examined along with the vaccine doses and ingredients before performing this type of

medical procedure.

When sax player Emilio Castillo put together the band that would evolve into Tower of Power in 1968, he had no grand expectations. “We were hoping to get good enough to play the Fillmore,” Castillo said. “I started the band in Fremont, at John F. Kennedy High, with my brother Jack, who was the original drummer. The band moved up to Oakland and took off, packing clubs with their horn-driven sound. “Oakland is our sound,” Castillo said. “I always say, ‘You can take the boy out of Oakland, but you can’t take Oakland out of the boy.’ Looking back on the band’s history, Castillo said he’s satisfied with what they’ve accomplished. “We’re not a band that reinvents itself every time we go into the studio. We sound like Tower of Power and there’s nothing we can do about it. At first, I thought it was a curse but, as we kept evolving, I realized it was a blessing. We kept chipping away at the sculpture we were creating. The aim is to arrive at a masterpiece. You have to tell us if we’ve succeeded.”
