JEMS with EMILY COLOMBIER, JESSICA ROTTER, SARAH MARGARET HUFF

Following their success as solo artists, Emily Colombier, Jessica Rotter, and Sarah Margaret Huff joined forces to create the transcendent Alternative Folk trio, JEMS.  Emily and Jessica grew up in Los Angeles singing together, both children of professional musicians.  Sarah Margaret was introduced to Jessica and Emily shortly after moving to LA from Nashville in 2015. Through collaborations on their own projects, they discovered how beautifully their voices blended and decided to share their music with the world. Sarah Margaret Huff’s bright soaring timbre is combined with Emily Colombier’s soulful earthy quality and met in the middle by Jessica Rotter’s colorful blend of the two. Through rich three-part harmonies, JEMS weaves stories, sounds, and raw emotion with a shimmering fervor. Listeners of all kinds can’t seem to resist the songwriting prowess and vocal alchemy of JEMS.

Their self-titled debut album echoes the journey they have had as a trio. Three uniquely individualistic singer-songwriters combining their different voices and stories to craft an album with a message of individuality and self-acceptance in all moments of life. Each member of JEMS has had deep experiences owning their own truth and identity, despite environments or circumstances that could have silenced their authenticity. As a trio, their shared voice is that of strength and chooses to boldly illuminate vulnerability. Through songwriting sessions that sometimes look more like group therapy, the three are able to write on one another’s life experiences and empathetically build a bridge to a broader message. The trio is inspired by the sounds of Laurel Canyon and the musical storytelling and authentic performances that defined that era. They hope to break open the time capsule and artistically balance musicality and lyrical intellect in a relatable and emotional way.

CHLOE BEAN

I am a Berklee College of Music graduate, which I attended on scholarship. Based in Los Angeles, I work as a songwriter/composer, session vocalist, and performer.

One of my favorite experiences in music happened on my tour with the Piedmont Children’s Choir in 2002 to Cuba, where I met and sang for Fidel Castro!

I sing, play piano, guitar, and produce and compose music. Currently I work with multiple writers in the US and UK, and my music has been heard on Bravo TV shows. I’ve lived and performed in Boston, New York, and LA, and SF, and I toured the UK last year to play some solo shows and hope to venture out again soon!

I enjoy traveling and meeting new people, to continue to explore this wonderful earth while sharing the love of music and connection.

CHEF BABETTE aka CHEF B

Chef Babette is a world-class healthy chef, fitness expert and motivational speaker. She runs a successful restaurant, Stuff I Eat, and has a loyal fan base via social media outlets while participating in health summit events around the country. She is a force of nature who seems to be able to do it all and transformed her life at the young age of 40.

Chef Babette has appeared on such shows as The Chew in the new HBO hit comedy series Insecure the Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family amongst a few.

This soon to be 68 year-old, this fitness enthusiast and self taught chemist in the kitchen, has been perfecting healthy food that taste out of this world which has allowed her to eat and enjoy the meals she loved without the guilt or associated “diseases” or ailments.

The co-owner of Stuff I Eat, a restaurant in the heart of downtown Inglewood, California, Chef Babette shares an array of raw and cooked recipes including Inspirational Messages and Chef B’s Delectable Delights. Continuing to spread the word of Chef B’s Delectable Delights, she has just completed a dessert book Cash In On Cashews, the first book in her Crave Series, which focuses on the versatility of the amazing cashew nut.
