Acoustics pioneer John Stuart Reid is an Acoustics-Physics Scientist & Inventor of the CymaScope is on a mission to educate and inspire the world about the field of cymatics — the science of visible vibrations and sound. He asserts that sound is the foundation of almost all matter in the universe and was a potent force in the creation of life in the primordial oceans, thereby carrying the power to heal life.
His CymaScope invention has forever changed the world’s perception of sound by giving us the ability to “see” sound and better understand this ubiquitous aspect of life. His cymatics research, which is elevating this important new field in scientific and medical arenas, includes a study on differentiating between the sounds emitted by healthy cells and cancer cells, published in the journal Water.
His work took a transformative turn inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, where he conducted an experiment in the King’s Chamber, and unknowingly healed himself of debilitating back pain, a revelation that deepened his understanding of sound’s therapeutic potential. This personal experience ignited his mission to explore the vibrational nature of healing.

Katherine Davis-Gibbon is a yoga teacher, longtime practitioner of Vipassana meditation, and most importantly a mother of two. She is also the founder of Riverlet Press, a children’s book company for conscious parents raising mindful kids.
Katherine Davis-Gibbon's journey with the body-mind began 33 years ago, when she studied Dance and Asian Studies at Scripps College. A notable student, she was nominated by faculty to a fellowship at The Humanities Institute and twice honored with the Lucille Morrison Dance Award.
In 1994, Katherine embarked upon a rigorous, yearlong apprenticeship at Performing Arts Physical Therapy/The Pilates Studio, where she was certified by Joseph Pilates' protege-turned-heir, master teacher Romana Kryzanowska. In the Los Angeles area, she taught at Performing Arts Physical Therapy and Zoe: A Pilates Studio.
In 1996, Katherine relocated to The Bay Area, where she opened her own studio. While continuing to teach rehabilitative pilates, she pursued a career in dance: performing with Strong Current Dance Company and Rebecca Salzer Dance Theater; showcasing her own choreography throughout the Bay Area; teaching modern dance technique; and ultimately founding and producing the East Bay Dance Festival.
In 2004, Katherine took a step back from dance in order to delve more deeply into the study and teaching of yoga. She joined the faculty of Piedmont Yoga Studio in 2005, immediately after completing their 750-hour Advanced Studies Program, under the direction of Rodney Yee, Richard Rosen, Clare Finn, and Maritza. In 2009, she completed Spirit Rock Meditation Center's Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation Training, where she worked with Phillip Moffitt, Stephen Cope, Tias Little, Jill Satterfield, Sarah Powers, and Judith Lasater, among many others. Finally, in 2010, she completed a four-year program in Traditional Yoga Studies under the direct tutelage of the late Georg Feuerstein, PhD.
Katherine's practice took a different form after the birth of her first child in 2011. Though she stopped teaching yogasana in 2012, her dedicated practice of Vipassana meditation and pursuit of svadhyaya (self-study) intensified during the decade she devoted to the hands-on care of her two beautiful daughters. Though she studied conscientiously and sat many long meditation retreats prior to becoming a mother, Katherine found parenting to be her most intensive training of all--providing endless opportunities to practice mindfulness, compassion, wise speech, and equanimity in the fertile ground of intimate relationship and moment-to-moment life.
In 2021, the various threads of Katherine's life as a student, teacher, artist, yogini, meditator, and parent intertwined when she became an author, and the proud founder of Riverlet Press: a children's book publishing company dedicated to illuminating and exploring the child's inner life.

Shervin Boloorian
A Globally Recognized Healing Voice
Shervin is a world-renowned figure in the healing music industry, known for his ability to merge ancient traditions with healing music and sounds. His artistry has garnered international acclaim, including three Global Peace Song Awards in 2020.
A music artist who has made his home in Bali, Shervin also shares his gifts as a sound therapy trainer, practitioner and author. His background is as rich and diverse as his music, reflecting a life shaped by a fusion of timeless and contemporary cultures and profound healing.
Early Life
Born into an Iranian family and raised in the UK as a refugee, Shervin’s early life was far from easy. At 16, he left a broken home, hoping to find peace under the care of his older sister. It was during this time of recovery that Shervin had a life epiphany and first turned to music as a lifeline, not just a passion.
Becoming Shervin’s refuge, music was a place where he could pour forth his heart and begin to overcome past wounds. As he later nurtured his twin sons, he also heeded his soul’s calling to craft songs that connected him to ancient music and to his own roots and emotional world. These experiences taught him that “Deep feeling comes before any healing.”
An Ancient and Contemporary Musical Dialog
One of Shervin’s most distinctive qualities is his ability to merge the modern and the ancient, creating a unique sonic echo across cultures and generations through his music. His performances are not just concerts—they are profound journeys, enriched by his authentic connections with spiritual leaders and music makers from diverse traditions. Singing in multiple languages, Shervin appeals to a global audience, breaking down barriers and fostering a sense of community wherever he is invited to play.
