Tosha is a designer, inventor, textile technologist, serial entrepreneur, and writer specializing in the development of innovative, commercial products in the fiber, textile, soft goods, and digitally connected wearables industries. Tosha has invented and designed iconic products for SPANX, brrrº, and the world’s first digital to physical backpack with JanSport. Tosha won Women Wear Daily’s Fresh Face Award for design, holds 12 patents, and was named one of The University of Georgia’s 40 under 40 for professional achievement in 2013.
Developing innovative, commercial ideas in a variety of consumer product categories with a specialty in fiber, textile, soft goods, and digitally connected wearables is Tosha’s sweet spot. Tosha co-founded three startups, building them from zero to exponential growth, and has been hired into start-up teams of numerous others. She understands the business of innovative consumer products and holds advisory roles within multiple organizations. She has deep expertise in product areas where hard and soft component integration and electronic system integration requirements are necessary and need software communication.
Tosha has held design, leadership, and executive positions with SPANX, Tommy Hilfiger, Bella Freud, brrrº, Tosha Hays Children’s Collection and Couture, and university institutes like MIT’s AFFOA striving for groundbreaking technology in fabrics. Currently, Tosha is Co-Founder of Hurdle Apparel.
Her professional side is a devotion, passion, and speed for product making and know-how. Her personal side is one of constant learning, traveling, running, writing, and spending time with her partner and three sons.

For the past twenty-six years, Ann Marchetti has held leadership roles in several successful nonprofit agencies towards a singular goal-- to improve the health and well being of children, youth and families. Drawing upon her unique combination of public policy, business and creative skills, Ann has assisted these nonprofits in optimizing their business models while building organizational capacity and developing sustainable programs. In 2008, Ann was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for Outstanding Service to Children and Youth by the National Child Labor Committee. This body remarked, “Ann has been at the forefront of action and has been the voice to improve the health, education, well-being and futures of millions of children.”
Ann founded AW Marchetti Consulting in 2008. Her firm is dedicated to empowering a new generation of leaders to develop effective systems for capacity development and program delivery. Ann believes that collaborative solutions enhance sustainability and build shared and lasting solutions for a brighter and healthier nation and world. As such, Ann serves as the Consulting Director of FORWARD DuPage. For ten years she has been responsible for providing leadership in building the organization’s marketing, finance, human resources and board governance capacity while expanding solutions to address the complex issue of obesity prevention.
Obesity remains a severe public health crisis. For the past ten years, FORWARD DuPage has ensured that healthy lifestyles and obesity prevention remain a top priority in DuPage County. Through its leadership and partnerships, FORWARD DuPage has leveraged expertise with state and national obesity prevention experts and initiatives. We convene, educate, connect and share best practices in nutrition, physical activity and built environment across a range of leaders and stakeholders. They in turn start new initiatives and programs, adopt practices, and change policies that improve the health of the citizens of the county. Between now and 2021, FORWARD DuPage will build on its history by targeting its resources to an area of urgent need - DuPage County children aged 0-11 years. Currently DuPage County children aged 2-4 years show obesity rates higher than the national average. Establishing a healthy lifestyle foundation when children are young, help ensure healthy habits for a lifetime. Together we can make a difference!
Ann earned her MS degree from Radford University.
Ann not only brings infectious energy and determination to her work by developing creative and sustainable solutions for today’s complex social and business issues, but she is dedicated to creating a healthy and sustainable world by example. She regularly volunteers on local and national Boards and at community events, established a Farmers Market and bee apiary in her local community, and she serves as a Guardian Ad Litem/Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for several foster children.
Chief of Police
Pamela A. Smith has over 25 years of law enforcement experience and a decorated career having achieved numerous commendations and awards. While in the United States Park Police, Smith served in major city field offices across the United States including San Francisco, New York, Atlanta, and Washington, DC, rising through the ranks to become Chief of Police for the United States Park Police in 2021.
She began her career with the United States Park Police in 1998 as a patrol officer in the San Francisco Field Office and received numerous commendations for her proactive efforts with drug enforcement, sobriety checkpoints, and community engagement. As her experience grew, she was reassigned to the New York Field Office where she continued her remarkable work ethic and joined the Canine Unit as a Canine Handler in the Explosive Ordinance and Detection Unit. She transitioned to a Senior Instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Law Enforcement Driver Training Program in Glynco, GA. She rose through the ranks as sergeant, lieutenant, captain, major, deputy chief and was ultimately promoted to Chief of Police, becoming the first African-American female to serve as Chief in the agency’s 230-year-old history.
After a successful career in law enforcement with the US Park Police, Smith joined the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in May 2022 as the Chief Equity Officer, assigned to the Executive Office of the Chief of Police. She led the department's efforts on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), made an immediate impact at the MPD and ensured that DEI issues remained a priority in the department. She developed an organizational channel for department-wide accountability by providing strategic advice to the Chief of Police, executive leadership, and senior management officials within the department. In addition to her DEI focus, she supervised the Directorates for Employee Well-Being and Support Unit and Equal Employment Opportunity Office.
She made a significant impact in a brief time span and in April 2023, was promoted to the Assistant Chief of Police, Homeland Security Bureau where she led the operational and administrative functions of the Special Operations Division, Joint Strategic & Tactical Analysis Command Center, and the Office of Intelligence. On July 17, 2023, Mayor Muriel Bowser announced that she selected Pamela A. Smith to serve as the next Chief of Police at the Metropolitan Police Department. Smith was officially confirmed Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department on November 7, 2023.
Chief Smith is well known for her law enforcement commitment and advocacy, leadership, and her skillful passion to forge relationships within the agency and across the communities she serves. Throughout her distinguished career, she has earned numerous awards and recognitions from several organizations including the National Organization for Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), Women in Federal Law Enforcement (WIFLE), the Women in Federal law Enforcement Public Service Award, Northeast Region Equal Employment Opportunity Office Recognition of Outstanding Excellence; and the National Council of Negro Women Award for Working Together in Unity.
Smith is a member of several organizations including the Washington Metro Chapter, National Organization for Black Law Enforcement Executive, International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and Women in Federal Law Enforcement (WIFLE). She’s also a sought-after speaker and panelist for many platforms focused on women in law enforcement, leadership, diversity and inclusion, and more.
It was her early years in foster care in Pine Bluff, AR that fueled her passion for helping and advocating for children. And as a minister today, she uses her platform to counsel and mentor youth and young adults to make a positive impact on their lives.
Smith has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and a Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice Education from the University of Virginia. She is also a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy (Session 265).

Former partners in crime reunite for a final mission against a ruthless crime boss in a partnership that could be the death of them.

Production has wrapped for the action thriller feature film “Ruthless Bastards” starring Sean Patrick Flanery, Casper Van Dien, and Parish Verma. Producer Alex Bogomolov and Wai Sun Cheng announced the film was in production from October 17 and wrapped on November 10, 2023, in and around Vancouver BC. “Ruthless Bastards” was written by Varinder Jhattu. With a budget of $3 million USD, director Bruce Fontaine (Beyond Redemption) is creating an edge-of-your-seat, action-packed film showcasing his Hong Kong style action roots. Action Lab Productions, Pandapix Pictures, and Early Ignition Entertainment are producing the feature film. “Ruthless Bastards” is being distributed by Brian Sweet of APL Film.

Former partners in crime, Nico (Van Dien) and Rick (Flanery) reunite for a final mission against a ruthless crime boss. Amidst infighting, corrupt police, and a hostage situation, they must set aside their hatred and work together to succeed. Two men each have $5 Million worth of reasons to put aside their hatred of one another. At the center of everything are Sunny Gill (Parish Verma) & the Sergeev brothers. As Nico & Rick are trying to uncover the deal that the unlikely partners are brewing, Rick’s old resentment towards Nico resurfaces, complicating their ability to work together.

Sydney Scotia recently wrapped a series lead role in the Crave series, PILLOW TALK. She is best known for her role as Geneva in the YTV/Netflix comedy, SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED; for which she won two Joey Awards, and earned a Leo Award nomination for Best Comedic Actress during its three-season run. In May 2016, her short film I DARE YOU (producer/actor) screened at the Cannes Film Festival, earning her a fourth Joey Award nomination. Sydney then went on to star in the Netflix series, REBOOT: THE GUARDIAN CODE, based on the cult classic cartoon. Her other credits include The CW's CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND, and Hallmark's, EAT DRINK & BE MARRIED. This year she will make her theatrical debut in FRANK & PENELOPE, in theaters June 3rd. Season two of PILLOW TALK to begin filming September 2022.
She pursues a career behind the camera as well with her feature length documentary, THIS HITS HOME winning audience choice at the Boston Film Festival. Her most recent short films DEAD END and JANE are to be released in 2022 after attending festivals. She recently won Best Female Director at the Vancouver Independent Film Festival.
As a dancer, she danced competitively for 8 years and in 2008, she performed in Hong Kong with Olympic gold medalist, Olga Korbut. She continues to write and release original music through AWAL distribution (Spotify, Apple Music).
