I don't know about you, but I have trouble remembering not to forget.  Not to do is a  difficult thing to do.

​Like, am I more likely to "remember" or to "not forget?"

Actually, "don't forget" is really a conundrum, and you know how annoying those pesky conundrums can be when they're let loose.  When you start off any reminder with the word, "don't," you're almost guaranteed to set yourself up for failure and a potential shame attack. Really, how do you "don't" do something?
