Senator Michael D. Brown, a Shadow Senator from the District of Columbia in Washington, D.C. is our returning guest this week! As a 'Shadow Senator', Brown receives no pay from the government, receives no budget from the government, and cannot vote on matters before the Senate. While he does not have an office in the United States Senate, the Government of the District provides the position with an office. Brown lobbies the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives on behalf of the citizens of the District in their attempt to gain full representation in Congress, self-determination, and eventually admittance to the union as a state. We'll see how that is going and discuss the Syrian conflict and other political happenings in the United States that may have a global impact. The Senator also has a radio show on BBS Radio 'SHADOW POLITICS' heard every Sunday at 4pm Pacific / 7pm Eastern with co-host Maria Sanchez. Join us to hear Michael's unique perspective on issues in the US that could potentially affect countries around the world, and of course, our audience and the people of Australia!
