Music Submission, Martin Paul Cuthew

Stand Tall - cover artwork
Artist or Band Name:
Martin Paul Cuthew

Hi there,

My name is Martin Paul Cuthew, an independent solo artist based in South-East England, UK.

I recently released my debut single, Stand Tall, and would very much appreciate you listening to and considering it for airplay on BBS Radio.

Stand Tall is a life affirming pop-rock anthem for these challenging and uncertain times. Recorded, mixed and mastered during lockdown, I was motivated to release this song now as it resonates with the current global situation and provides a positive and hopeful message. Many people have been negatively impacted by the Covid19 pandemic and feedback from my listeners is that this is exactly the kind of upbeat song they want to be hearing right now.

'"With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world." The line from the poem Desiderata encapsulates the philosophy of singer/ songwriter/ multi-instrumentalist Martin Paul Cuthew. Cathartic and introspective meditations on love, hope and longing are set against a backdrop of bold colours and warm, rich tones ... a foundation of acoustic-rock vocal and guitar is enriched with lush synths and electronic rhythms to generate gutsy pop-rock songs.

Martin played keyboards from an early age before moving onto guitar in his teens. Early influences were Pink Floyd, Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead alongside electronic acts Orbital and The Prodigy. However, it was British rock band Oasis that first really inspired him to write songs and take music more seriously. Since then, he has been writing and recording music, further influenced by Coldplay, Muse, M83 and Biffy Clyro.

Martin has performed all over South-East England - including The Cage Bar in Reigate, Kingston's Ram Jam Club and Scratchers (Three Lions) in Farncombe - but it is appearances at the international Greenbelt Festival and at legendary London venues, the Half Moon Putney and Dublin Castle in Camden, that really stand out.'

For further info and content, please check out my EPK, Website, Facebook page and YouTube Channel.

I hope the track is to your liking and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thanks and Regards

Martin

Just You And Me Cover
Artist or Band Name:
Jon R Garey

Jon R Garey hails from the musical diversity of Northeast Ohio playing guitar and recording music since he was a young teen.  Influenced by music of the 60s and beyond, music has been an important part of his expression of the joy, wonder, and sometimes sadness of life.  Mornings will find him in the darkened confines of his home studio.  Evenings will find him performing his unique brand of Indie Pop at one of many music venues in the area where new music is always welcomed and appreciated.

We are Damon Dokhani and Troy Skinner of the Bay Area pop/edm producer duo waitwhat. Almost four years later we're still at it, and finally ready to begin pursuing music full time. Hope you enjoy our submissions, which range from emotional indie-electronic to club-ready pop-house. Thank you for your time!

Music Submission, The Drive

Artist or Band Name:
The Drive

“What’s the point of getting older, if you got nothing to show?” (The Drive, Feeling)

This was the idea built around the name ‘The Drive’ meaning the passion, discipline, and perseverance needed to accomplish something that would last or make its mark. So when brainstorming possible band names, two brothers from Los Angeles, decided on ‘The Drive’ as a constant reminder of the work they must put in,  Danny ( vocals, keys, guitar) and Isaac (drums/keys) formed the band in the basement of their family’s pub, where they worked. They would work on music anytime they were not in school or busing tables. It was at this pub they were given a stage and fell in love with music and performing their own original content.

The two brothers continue to perform on stages throughout Los Angeles and all of California sharing their love for what they do. Learning new ways to make their shows the best experience for those watching which can be difficult for only two musicians and multiple instruments. The response from fans is incredible and makes them work harder to reach their goals. With over 20 original tracks on Spotify/Itunes and the release of their first ever E.P. “Training Wheels”, they continue to build their fanbase gaining loyal fans that elevate their growth. Whilst writing and producing their music, they work hard on their videos showing the creative side of their art.

Throughout their career the brothers have been blessed with great experiences like  headlining for the Mallapallooza festival in Dallas, creating an award winning music video for their song “Faithless”  (Olympus Film Festival 2019 & L.A. Film Festival 2019), and working with platinum awarded producers ( Anthony Resta).

With sincere gratitude for the support of their family, friends, and fans they continue to grow as musicians with each new song.

The Drive is an Alt/pop/rock band with influences that stem from The Killers and U2 to the 1975 and LANY. As well as cinema scores.

We want

to say a huge thank you

to anyone who took the time

to listen to our work. It means

the world to us…spread these songs everywhere! Thank You!

Music Submission, The Krimsons

Artist or Band Name:
The Krimsons

Mark, Sarah and Chris met in 2009 when joining Planet ALF, a 4-piece local band from South London.

Following several frustrating line up and name changes, in 2011 the band decided to disband, but not before playing to full houses at venues such as London’s Dingwall’s and the Kentish Town Forum, and recording their debut E.P. ‘Wasteland’.

Following an 8 year hiatus, in the spring of 2019, Mark and Sarah re united, continuing to write, compose and record their own material.

Chris joined up in the following months, and holding on to one of their previous names, The Krimsons, now operate as a 3 piece with additional musicians brought in for some live performances.

2020 has seen the band compose, record and produce several tracks forming two 5 track E.Ps. The darker 'Dancing On The Ashes' is set for release in mid December while 'The Awakening' is out now on all major streaming and download platforms.  (Both E.Ps can be heard at bandcamp) (The 'Coffee Lounge' mixes can be heard at Sound Cloud).
