FOR ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAMER'S
THE MOODY BLUES
John's 10,000 Light Years Band on the road for a
10-date tour of the USA
John Lodge is bass guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter for the iconic rock band, The Moody Blues. Songwriter of such mega Moody Blues hits “Ride My See-Saw”, “I’m Just A Singer (In A Rock and Roll Band)”, “Isn’t Life Strange?” and many more. Lodge has been performing and recording with The Moody Blues for more than five decades, selling more than 70 million albums. Lodge has been voted one of the “10 most influential bass players on the planet,” and has been the recipient of many awards, including ASCAP (American Society of Composers and Publishers), and Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, and inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, to name just a few. The Moody Blues have released 15 studio albums and countless compilations, and John has also released three solo albums; NATURAL AVENUE in 1977, 10,000 LIGHT YEARS AGO in 2015, and his current LIVE FROM BIRMINGHAM, THE 10,000 LIGHT YEARS TOUR. He also released the duo album BLUE JAYS in 1975 with Justin Hayward, and they were voted the Top Duo for that year.
Lodge released 10,000 LIGHT YEARS AGO, his second solo album, in the spring of 2015. The recording again reunited Lodge with special guest contributions from former Moody Blues bandmates Ray Thomas and Mike Pinder on the song “Simply Magic.” Legendary guitarist Chris Spedding again appears on the album, among others. The collection was recorded at various locations and completed at The Mix Factory studios in Florida. Lodge’s song “In My Mind,” was nominated “Rock Anthem of the Year” by Prog Magazine.
Whilst still touring with The Moody Blues, Lodge undertook his first ever solo tour in September 2016, visiting 12 cities in England, followed by a short tour in Florida in February 2017, and was invited as ‘Special Guest’ onto the ‘Cruise to the Edge’, a Prog Rock cruise from Tampa to Cozumel. 2017 saw a 9-date tour around the NE of the USA, finishing to a sold-out performance at City Winery in NY. The last night of the English tour was at the Birmingham Town Hall, John’s hometown, and the concert was filmed to capture this special evening.
2017 saw the 50th Anniversary of the Moody Blues album DAYS OF FUTURE PASSED, and to celebrate, John and the Moody Blues embarked on a very special tour that included a complete performance of this iconic and groundbreaking album, the tour continued in January 2018 with the fourth Moody Blues Cruise, dates in the USA and finishing with a residence at the Wynn, Las Vegas. This celebratory concert ‘Days of Future Passed, Live’ was filmed in Toronto and is also currently being shown on PBS as part of their GREAT PERFORMANCES programme, and has now been released as a DVD, reaching the top of the US DVD charts.
In December 2017 it was announced that the Moody Blues were being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the ‘Class of 2018’. They first became eligible in 1990, and it took 28 years to receive the nomination. The news that they were being inducted was met with rapture by the generations of loyal fans who had been championing their inclusion for many years; prior to induction, every 7 out of 10 letters received by the Hall of Fame were about the Moody Blues, and their support drove them to a strong second place in the ‘fan vote’, garnering 1m votes. The Moodies performed live at the ceremony in Cleveland on April 14th, closing the show, and the event is currently showing on HBO and soon to be on Amazon Prime. The Moody Blues will be returning to the Wynn in Las Vegas in September 2018 for a further three-week Residency. In October 2018 John will be taking his 10,000 Light Years Band on the road for a 10-date tour of the USA, and in February 2018, John will be returning to the ‘Cruise to the Edge’ sailing out of Tampa, Florida.

EX LEAD SINGER FOR LEGENDARY CHRISTIAN ROCKERS
' P E T R A'
AND FOR CPR Back To The Rock II
2018-19 WORLD TOUR
Greg Volz showed great skills in singing from a very early age. Being a self-taught musician, when he was 13 years old, he started his own band called The Wombats. As he grew up, he went on to share the stage with the likes of Janis Joplin, Chicago and others. In 1970 he became a born-again Christian and started performing with several Christian bands. He formed a band called Gideon's Bible, and later toured with a group known simply as e Band, which was a part of the Jesus Movement. E's only studio recordings can be found on the rock musical 2LP-album Because I Am released in 1973. After e broke up in 1975 Volz moved to Springfield, Missouri, where he worked with legendary guitarist Phil Keaggy. He also performed the lead role in a rock stage musical called Ezekiel.
In 1976, Volz received two of the most important calls of his life. First, he was offered the lead singer position of REO Speedwagon. Volz, being a recently converted Christian, declined. Six weeks later, he got the call to participate in Petra's second album, Come and Join Us. Although at that time he participated as a guest singer in just three songs, founder/guitarist Bob Hartman (who, at that time, was sharing the lead-singing duties with co-founder/guitarist Greg Hough) offered Volz the full-time position.
His first full-time album with the band, Washes Whiter Than, came in 1979 and therein came one of the most prolific periods of the legendary band. Volz remained the lead singer until 1985 when he left to pursue a solo career. Volz released his first solo effort, titled The River is Rising in 1986 under Myrrh Records. He followed it with three other moderately successful albums. During this time, he also toured with Joe English in a band called Pieces of Eight. Volz' tours drew in the 1,000 to 1,500 range during this time - a very respectable number for a Contemporary Christian artist, but nowhere near the level he experienced at the end of his tenure with Petra.
In October 4, 2005 he re-joined Petra for the live recording of their last DVD, Petra Farewell. He joined the stage with current singer John Schlitt for a medley of ballads, and he followed it with a solo rendition of "Grave Robber", which was one of his hits with the band.
In 2010 he spear-headed the renewal of the classic members of Petra from the early 80's. Classic Petra was born. Greg X. Volz, John Lowry, Louie Weaver, Mark Kelly and Bob Hartman took the band on a 2year world tour with new recordings of the classic songs.
In 2016 Greg, Louie and John agreed to record another album of classic Petra songs and recruit the talent of former Petra member, Ronny Cates, and former Pieces of Eight Member, Kirk Henderson. Greg Bailey, another former Petra member, was asked to play bass on the 2018-19 tour. This new project is called CPR.

Paul Richardson gained his Architecture qualifications in London, England, where he studied natural building, eco-architecture, and holistic Architecture. He studied briefly under Malaysian Architect Ken Yeang (Bio Climatic Skyscraper), and other reputable Green Architects/natural builders, Sarah Wigglesworth and Jeremy Till, where he came to further develop his understanding of the principles and workings of sustainable design and natural architecture.
In his final Thesis, Paul focussed on a Holistic approach to Sustainable Architecture, bringing together the unseen elements of the world, the sacred in architecture, and combined with natural materials and renewable sources.
After Graduating Post Grad in Architecture, Paul left the UK, and began his working life as an Architect, in the Northeast of America. Here he found himself struggling to honour his path, and found himself in the regular work world, having to support a growing family, and no way to bring to life his studies in Green Architecture and natural building, in any meaningful way.
Working mostly on residential construction projects, ranging from Post and Beam small dwellings, Eco friendly flat pack homes, all the way to multi-million, dollar mansions and beach homes.
After leaving the US in 2011, Paul worked overseas in Asia and Caucus region, delivering projects for some of the wealthiest families in the world. Which included the design, implementation and management of 5 star hotels, Resorts, and VVIP residences and Penthouses.
Although the money was there, and life was relatively easy, Paul became more and more disenchanted with the world of construction, and started to think that Architecture was not his path at all. He experimented with his other passion, music, in the hopes that he may be able to make a difference here, and share his message, but after 2 years of hard work, with several music groups, Paul realized that this was just a distraction, and at the end of 2015, hit a major juncture on his journey.
It was the beginning of 2016, on his 40th birthday when Paul decided it was time to make some drastic changes, and dedicated himself to daily practice of meditation, and self-reflection, to see if he could find peace at least with his present path, and do much needed healing work.
Meditation was helping, but it was in September 2017, after realizing again that he needed to get on his true path, that Paul was called to go to Peru, to the Amazon Rainforest, to spend time there with the medicine men (Shamans).
From there everything changed, and on returning back to Kazakhstan, where he was Project Managing the fitout of 6 star, Hotel, he started receiving details and downloads and found himself with a deep sense of renewed purpose. The creativity and inspiration that had been drummed out of him through the corporate work world, was now back with force (unlike ever before), and Paul became determined not to let this go to waste, and fall back into the comfortable trap of corporate work.
By the end of October 2017, Paul abruptly left his position, after receiving guidance to go to the United States to view a large parcel of land in New Mexico, where he had visions of building a community there, but not only a community, but a living school, that would be an educational and inspiring platform to educate and teach the tools of self-reliance, natural building, permaculture, etc, and facilitate a shift to sovereign community domains.
He founded the concept of Haven Earth, a company that he felt he needed to bring to life to be able to offer some platform to assist with the transition into a community centric model of living, a self-reliant life.
In February 2018, at a workshop on Natural building in South Africa, Paul had a chance to share his vision and designs, and found great reception, especially from the host of the workshop, Alosha Lynov, and few other’s (Engineers and visionaries), who felt a strong connection between their own visions, and what Paul brought to the table, and together they were drawn to work together to make this dream a reality.
From there, Paul and Alosha partnered up, and were invited to be part of a government conference in Moscow, Russia in May 2018, to brainstorm and develop the concept of sustainable cities of the future. Sharing the stage with the likes, as ‘Venus Project’, where they are still working with the main group in Moscow to develop pilot projects outside the capital city, as part of research into creating large sustainable town and city projects somewhere down the road.
Alongside Alosha, and a growing team, Haven Earth Center (partner Bioveda Academy), began to implement small model projects in South Africa and Turkey, and larger, creatively self-reliant community projects in both the United States and Russia.
Paul’s driving force, is to create a platform, that can facilitate the co-creation of sovereign, creatively self-reliant communities globally, that would connect and share knowledge and tools via workshops, online forums, etc, to get the information out to the general public.
He feels it is the lack of viable visions in the public consciousness, that are limiting our progress toward this goal, and by fearlessly sharing and living his truth and walking his path, and actively developing the vision, with the team, that will inspire many other’s to see there is another way, and that these ways are not so hard to reach, if we make the choice to move in that direction, and away from our failing dominant system.

WITH
DAVID AND THE GIANTS
FINDING GOD THROUGH ROCK AND ROLL
After a newfound relationship with Jesus Christ in the summer of 1977, David and the Giants sought to change the very foundation of the group from the secular rock scene to a different style of Christian music. Through 1997 the original band and other musicians produced 17 inspiring contemporary Christian Rock albums.
David & The Giants was formed in 1964 when David Huff dropped out of Jones Junior College to follow his dream. Around 1965 David’s brothers Rayborn and Clayborn joined the group. Larry Papania and Bill Barnette were the first 2 drummers for D & G. Jerry Parker was the drummer from 1966 until he was replaced by Keith Thibodeaux in 1969. During the 1960’s and early 1970’s, David & The Giants [featuring Keith Thibodeaux and David’s brothers Clayborn and Rayborn] toured heavily as a secular Rock ‘n’ Roll band, sharing the stage and in the studio with such formidable acts such as: Styx, Chuck Berry, Cheech and Chong, Black Oak Arkansas ,Rod Stewart ,The Rolling Stones, and Stevie Wonder.
Playing secular music at colleges, high schools and clubs was the way of life for D&G. They were signed with Capitol Records, MGM Records, United Artist Records and CBS Records.
The first three Christian albums had more ballads and a pop-rock sound and included “Glory Hallelujah” and “Roll On”, later covered by Wayne Watson. The original version of “Noah”, now a classic song and fan favorite recorded in 1978. Gerald Hagan played piano during these early years, leaving the band in 1980. Owen Hale played drums on the first three D&G recordings until Keith Thibodeaux rejoined the group in 1979.
Heaven or Hell (1981) would continue their more rock roots sound making David & The Giants truly pioneers in the early days of Contemporary Christian music. In 1982 after signing with the Columbia Records’ Christian label – Priority Records the first release, entitled simply David & The Giants was widely distributed.
The next album, Riders In The Sky (1983) produced staples like:
Step by Step
King of the Jews
Look at the People
Then three more albums; Inhabitants of the Rock (1984), Under Control (1985) and Magnificat (1987) released on the Myrrh Label produced several radio hits like:
I Am Persuaded
His Love Lifted Me Up
Why
I Can Depend On You
Giant Records, a self- label of David’s was created in 1988 with Strangers To The Night the first release.
The 1980’s was finished out with R-U Gonna Stand Up (1989) which produced the still popular radio hit “Here’s My Heart”. Thanks to a mislabeled CD that was supposed to be from Soul II Soul, WNCI Program Director Dave Robbins from Columbus Ohio liked the song enough to put it on the air. WNCI received such positive response that it was added into regular rotation.
Keith Thibodeaux left the band after the recording of R-U Gonna Stand Up in the summer of 1989.
1990 issued in a new decade along with Distant Journey with Lance Huff, David’s son, on the drums to replace Keith. In 1991 Distant Journey was nominated for a Dove Award for “Rock Album of the Year“.
Other releases, Long Time Coming (1992) and Giant Hits (1993) in the early 1990’s had three hits:
Stumbling Block to a Stepping Stone
I’m Still Rocking
Always on My Mind
Since 2007, the David & The Giants original band members have been getting back together frequently for reunion concerts and produced the live album Still Rockin’ in 2014.
