Guest Biography:

If you’re interested in knowing how I turned from client to owner of SixPack Abs, let’s start with a confession:

Even though my hard work and determination resulted in tons of success in business, I couldn’t make a dent in the extra pounds around my middle. At least not on my own.

I had to admit I needed help, and once I did my research into healthy, long-term weight loss it led me to VIP Platinum Coaching at SixPackAbs.

With one-on-one coaching, tailor-made supplements and research-driven insights, I saw quick results, both physically and mentally. Within 8 weeks, I lost 12 pounds with the nutrition plan alone!

I’ve kept the weight off for around 2 years now, all the while keeping my eye on the SixPackAbs company. As the founder and CEO of Harter Investment Strategies, I look for great companies poised to go to the next level. And I became increasingly impressed by SixPacks’ culture, community and growing commitment to client satisfaction.

Wait… client satisfaction isn’t the right word. What really got me fired up was seeing SixPack’s growing passion for their client’s success.

I saw that passion in every person I met when I visited company headquarters in Austin, Texas. My coach tweaked my workouts in a way that significantly improved my results. The newest SixPack trainer, Thomas Deleaur, couldn’t wait to give me a sample of Thermofast, and now I can’t imagine being without it. Mark Mcilyar and Clark Bartram from the Abs After Forty program shared their workout and blew me away with their health, strength and vitality.

So, it was the people and the passion that sealed the deal. And now I couldn’t be happier about investing nearly five decades of experience in this business … while the SixPack team invests in you. Hoping success to you!!!

LEGENDARY SINGER-SONGWRITER-GUITARIST

MASTER STORYTELLER

EXCLUSIVE ON INTERVIEWING THE LEGENDS

WITH RAY SHASHO

Tom Rush is a gifted musician and performer, whose shows offer a musical celebration…a journey into the tradition and spectrum of what music has been, can be, and will become. His distinctive guitar style, wry humour and warm, expressive voice have made him both a legend and a lure to audiences around the world. His shows are filled with the rib-aching laughter of terrific story-telling, the sweet melancholy of ballads and the passion of gritty blues.

Rush’s impact on the American music scene has been profound. He helped shape the folk revival in the ’60s and the renaissance of the ’80s and ’90s, his music having left its stamp on generations of artists. James Taylor told Rolling Stone, “Tom was not only one of my early heroes, but also one of my main influences.” Country music star Garth Brooks has credited Rush with being one of his top five musical influences. Rush has long championed emerging artists. His early recordings introduced the world to the work of Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne and James Taylor, and in more recent years his Club 47® concerts have brought artists such as Nanci Griffith and Shawn Colvin to wider audiences when they were just beginning to build their own reputations.

In 2012, he began a revival of his Club 47® shows at Boston’s Symphony Hall. Tom Rush: 50 Years of Music, featured old friends David Bromberg, Jonathan Edwards and Buskin & Batteau, and new friends like Dom Flemons of the Carolina Chocolate Drops. The show was streamed live, and has been released as a DVD video.

He followed up with a sold-out show at Symphony Hall in 2013, with the Kweskin Jug Band, Maria Muldaur, Geoff Muldaur and Bill Keith, Patty Larkin, Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion.

Today, Tom Rush lives in Massachusetts when he’s not touring. His voice has grown even richer and more melodic, and his music, like a fine wine, has matured and ripened in the blending of traditional and modern influences. He’s written a number of new songs. He’s doing what he loves, and what audiences love him for: writing and playing …passionately, tenderly…knitting together the musical traditions and talents of our times.

TIPPA LEE

A British dancehall MC who launched his career in the ’80s but later worked with Tom Chasteen and Dub Club.

Tippa Lee was born Anthony Campbell in Kingston, Jamaica. He debuted in 1983 as Tipper Lee and with Johnny Slaughter on their single “Sensimillia.” That year’s split album Murder acted as his debut LP and featured cuts from Lee with Slaughter, along with solo tracks from Toyan.

His partnership with Rappa Robert (sometime Roberts) began in 1987 with a series of collaborative singles that reached its peak in 1988 with the number one Jamaican hit “No Trouble We.” Nuh Trouble We, the album, landed that same year with Tipper now firmly established as Tippa, then another string of singles led up to the duo’s 1990 album, Roots Vibration.

In 2000 he joined the Hit Squad label and moved to the U.S., then in 2003 the Roots Vibration Production label issued his “Tell Me Now” single with superstar Beenie Man‘s “Babylon Fornication” on the flip side.

What followed were some random singles and underground releases not easily found outside San Francisco, then in 2016 he partnered with Dub Club producer and leader Tom Chasteen for the vocal album Cultural Ambassador, along with its dub remix Dub Them with Reality. Both releases were issued by Stones Throw.
