This conversation had me nervous. I didn't understand terms like intersex, gender fluid, transgender, why people say they, and gender dysphoria. Emma spent most of her life as Jason. She was raised as a boy, but always knew that something was weird about herself. Not until she was 18 did she learn the truth. That she was intersex.

Emma's doctors put her on testosterone to stop herself from continuing to develop as a female. She found out she had a uterus and was developing breasts. The hormones stopped the development, but caused havoc with her body.

Emma is speaking out to tell people that what they are being told by the doctors is probably not true. Just because she has returned to her natural feminine mode, it doesn't mean that the years of hormones can be reversed. She implores people of all ages to reach out to her if they have questions about transitioning, identification, or just not feeling good about who they are.
