This week we look back to a show in 2008, when Dr. Gordon MacDougal from the UK, was successfully experimenting with color therapies to deal with cold sores and herpes. Then his father began developing Alzheimer's. Dr. McDougal added this to his research by raising the number of lights to 700 times his usual, placing them in a helmet for his dad to wear.... Lo and behold they staved off Alzheimer's for over 5 years. On this episode, Bonnie and David speak with Michele Giorgianni, First Responder Liaison at Aware Recovery Care @awarerecoverycare, and Jason Palamara, Director of Veteran & First Responder Engagement at Forge VFR @forgehealth Our topic: Substance Abuse Disorder treatments for First Responders.

Jason has served as a peer support counselor with the NYPD and is the director of Veteran & First Responder Engagement for Forge VFR. Jason is currently writing a book on police wellness and resilience with Barbara Rubel.
