Guest Biography

Katie is excited to be treating patients at Team Rehab Orland Park. Being an Orland Park native, she loves making an impact on the community she grew up in. Katie earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2018. She has experience treating a variety of patients ranging from adolescent athletes and weekend warriors to older adults with orthopedic injuries. She is a former collegiate athlete playing 4 years of Division III basketball at Dominican University in Chicago. A season-ending ACL injury during her basketball career opened her eyes to the movement/muscle imbalances in her own body and introduced her to the profession of physical therapy.

Katie’s treatment style is a whole-body approach, focused on hands-on manual therapy complemented with targeted muscle strengthening. She became certified in the Schroth Method for treating scoliosis through the Schroth Barcelona Institute in 2021 and she has a special interest in working with children/adolescents to help them conservatively manage their scoliosis. Katie is also Master Dry-Needling Certified and completed her Sports Physical Therapy Certification (SPTC) through Evidence in Motion. She provides evidenced-based treatments and comprehensive patient education to empower patients to maximize their quality of life, whether that means being in top shape for athletic performance or simply living pain-free.

In her free time, Katie enjoys playing in recreational women’s basketball leagues, skiing, and drinking overpriced coffee. She also loves spending time with her husband and their German Shepard, Partner.
