Johann Urb, Actor and Model

Johann was born in Tallinn as the son of a musician Tarmo Urb. At the age of ten Johann moved to live in Finland with his mother and her new Finnish husband. Mostly they stayed in Tampere. When Johann turned 17, he moved to the United States where his father lived as he started his career in modeling in New York, which led him later on to pursuing a career in acting. He studied in the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.

In 2001, Urb landed a small part in the film Zoolander. Later, he made an appearance in the short film Fear of Feathers and had a role in one episode of CSI: Miami. In 2004, Urb appeared in the short-running television series The Mountain. Following that, he guest starred in several television shows and made smaller film roles.

Urb would then get his first major film role in The Hottie and the Nottie in 2008. The next year, Urb made a short appearance in Roland Emmerich’s disaster epic 2012 as a heroic pilot and he played a journalist in the fantasy TV-series Eastwick. He also played the part of Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil: Retribution, which was released in 2012. Most recently he has been playing the part of US Park Ranger, Burt Moore, the boyfriend of Abby Sciuto in the series NCIS.

Johann discovered meditation at the age of 14 and has held a daily practice of various types of yoga/meditations ever since. He believes in the power of spiritual practice, physical health, community, kindness, sharing and giving. And of course, of always being in the process of learning.

Terry Preuss, NBCT, is a career educator who has been teaching children and adults from around the globe for over two decades. Presently a middle school teacher, she also conducts motivational, and writing workshops nationally. With a vast and varied teaching history, her insight into the condition of today's youth reveals a struggle and willingness to reach every child and to inspire other educators to do the same.

Her organization, ABC+LOVE (It's About Brotherhood, Compassion +LOVE), is dedicated to sharing the stories of troubled and at-risk youth in an effort to raise awareness and improve the quality of education for all students, globally. Through her proven effectiveness and dedication to students, she has received every accolade possible within the teaching profession: Grant Recipient, Teacher of the Year, Hispanic Teacher of the Year, Highly Qualified Teacher, Mentor Teacher, Lead Teacher, School Based Management Decision Making Cadre Chair, Teacher Consultant, and National Board Certified Teacher. Presently she uses her expertise, knowledge, and experiences to reach a broader audience by writing about, speaking on and advocating for student and parent concerns.

Through her present appointment on her School Board's District Advisory Council (DAC), she intends to initiate positive changes to benefit student, parent, and teacher relations. Her goal is to raise the bar of education creating a reality where student friendly teaching thrives in every classroom and brings about high achievement and high expectations, hand in hand with high self-esteem. She is presently on the Broward Teachers Union Executive Board, and was recently elected Vice President of her local, the 6th Largest Union in America.  Her term begins July 1, 2016

Terry is also a two time literary award winning author, recognized by The Miami Herald's Tropic Magazine for her personal narrative, A Helping Hand, about discovering her mother's aristocratic past in pre-Castro Cuba, and Florida International University's Josephine Friedman Award for Short Fiction for her story, Cat Soup.

Her newest book "Voices in the Hall" is a riveting and compelling account of kids in our school system, as told to the one adult who will listen to them: their teacher. Based on the true lives of real students, these personal, intimate accounts are heart-wrenching, powerful and at times shocking—a veritable cry for help to parents, teachers and society. She uses her work and her passion for writing to engage students of all ages in the reading and writing adventure, achieving notably high standardized writing scores at her own school, and students who discover their voice by putting pen to paper in her workshops nationally.

She is the mother of two teenage sons who live with her and her husband in Florida.

Pia Smith Orleane and Cullen Baird Smith are extraordinary interstellar communicators! Terri Jay is an Internationally acclaimed Medium, Intuitive, Pet Psychic, Horse Whisperer, Energy Healer and more. She is also renowned as a medical and veterinary intuitive. She regularly communicates with both people and pets on the Other Side, particularly when helping people deal with the loss of a loved  one. Terri also has the unique ability to communicate with people who have communication disorders such as autism, Alzheimer’s, traumatic brain injuries, coma, etc. Her ability to help people to heal themselves from chronic and“terminal” diseases has helped thousands of people to lead normal lives.

Terri’s love of horses has always figured strongly in her vocations. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, she remembers being drawn to horses at an early age. She began riding lessons and by age 16, she was showing horses on a Class A circuit as a junior rider and also taught riding locally. She went on to attend Ohio State University where she studied Animal Science. By the mid 1970s, Terri had moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she started a free, horseback therapy program for disabled children. In 1985, she moved to Reno to become the first Executive Director of the Nevada Commission for the Preservation of Wild Horses, a position she held until 1990 when she decided once again to offer a horseback therapy program. It was during this time that she discovered her gift for intuitive communication with disabled children that soongrew to include horses, other animals and the deceased.

Terri has always been in front of the media spotlight for her therapeutic riding program, which received local and national coverage. She went on to appear on countless television news shows for her intuitive work, in national and international magazines and newspapers and on the TV series “Texas Justice” as an expert witness. She recently appeared on the “Steve Harvey Show.” She will be playing herself in a feature-length movie coming out later this year. Terri is presently working on publishing several books about her abilities and is also developing several television shows for the future.

Our speaker is Dinesh Kashikar, lovingly known as Kashiji or Kashi. He is a senior faculty member who has been with the Art of Living Foundation since 1995. Driven by his passion to serve and inspired by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Kashi has traveled the world teaching Art of Living courses to an estimated half a million people, specializing in Sri Sri Yoga & Vedic Wisdom programs. Kashiji is a certified Yoga Alliance teacher, holding their highest level of accreditation. He has also served as the coordinator for the Sri Veda Agama Samskrutha Mahapatahasala, an Art of Living heritage school and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Vedic Dharma Sansthan, spearheading the delivery of Art Of Living’s Vedic wisdom programs, Kashiji has a graduate degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Mumbai and has many diverse interests including sports, music, theater and books.
