Leila Reyes, acclaimed author of “Freedom from Shame: Trauma, Forgiveness, and Healing from Sexual Abuse,” is a beacon of hope and transformation for those seeking to overcome the impact of abuse. Having triumphed over emotional, physical, and sexual abuse herself, Leila is on a mission to empower individuals to build relationships defined by safety, reliability, and authenticity.
In addition to being a Hakomi graduate (somatic psychotherapy), Leila holds a master’s degree in social work and several certifications including Spiritual Divorce, Conscious Uncoupling™ The Best Year, and Calling in “The One.” As the lead coach for Marci Shimoff’s Your Year of Miracles program, Leila continues to inspire transformation on a widespread and profound level.
Noteworthy for her non-judgmental compassion and gentle strength, Leila is recognized for her insightful ability to awaken individuals to the truth of their inherent worth and power. She utilizes Katherine Woodward Thomas’ True You Awakening Process to help her clients achieve liberation from the effects of childhood sexual abuse and, over the past two decades, has coached thousands of individuals to create happy, healthy relationships. Beyond coaching, Leila facilitated a groundbreaking restorative justice program in a California prison, fostering healing by bringing together those who have been harmed and those who have caused harm.
On a personal note, Leila is a proud mother and grandmother. She loves to travel the world enjoying the variety of cultures this remarkable earth has to offer meeting many new and interesting people from all walks of life. Leila recently inherited over 1000 LP records and is looking for a speaker system to do her new collection justice. She enjoys billiards and has a secret desire to beat someone (anyone) in this fun game of skill. She walks three miles a day and recently bought her first pickleball racket.
