In the 1970s, British astronomer Duncan Lunan discovered a code emanating from what he believed to be an extraterrestrial probe. It resulted in an international bestseller, Man and the Stars. Later, he discovered that the message was potentially incorrect, but in recent years, he has found new evidence to argue for its existence. He was also the man responsible for an astronomically aligned stone circle in Glasgow in the 1970s the first such one to be built in the British Isles in more than 3000 years. His most recent research has been on the so-called Green Children of Woolpit, an incredible story of two green-skinned children arriving in medieval England.
