This episode of Talking with Ron features an in-depth interview with Belgian-born singer-songwriter Sam Bettens regarding his new Americana solo project. Host Ron also addresses show standards, upcoming community events, and the launch of exclusive listener benefits.

Detailed Summary

Show Integrity and Community Values
Host Ron opened the program by addressing a recent scheduling conflict with a political candidate who failed to appear, emphasizing that the show prioritizes time, money, and respect for the audience over political games. He reaffirmed the show's mission as a platform for "family, togetherness, and people" regardless of background, noting that the program's growth to 2.6 million listeners is a testament to its focus on letting people be themselves.

Sam Bettens: A New Chapter in Americana
The core of the episode featured Sam Bettens, who has spent over 30 years in the music industry, most notably with the Belgian band K's Choice. Bettens discussed his transition into the Country/Americana genre with his solo project, citing a desire for the "authentic, heartfelt" space that the genre provides for honest songwriting. Currently based in the California desert, Bettens is preparing for a five-week European tour following recent performances in Nashville and Birmingham.

Artist Spotlight: Sam Bettens

  • 🎸 Origin: Belgium (K's Choice)
  • 💿 New Album: Coming Home
  • 🎵 Genre: Americana / Country / Singer-Songwriter
  • 🌍 Current Focus: 5-Week European Tour (Summer 2026)

"It's not about the flashiness... it's really just if you can write a great song."

Songwriting and Inspiration
Bettens shared the stories behind key tracks on his new album, Coming Home. The song "Unlucky" reflects on social inequality and the "uphill battle" many face from birth, while "Your Kid" was inspired by a story of a family eventually finding forgiveness and acceptance for their gay son. He emphasized the role of music as a mood-altering force and expressed his preference for the tactile experience of vinyl records.

Upcoming Ventures and Listener Perks
The show concluded with several major announcements regarding the "Talking with Ron" brand. Ron teased a "Family Day" event scheduled for July, which has already garnered interest from international listeners. Additionally, the show is launching a "VIP Visa Card" in collaboration with major banks, designed to be accessible even to those with poor credit scores and offering discounts at partner hotels and sponsors.

[00:00] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Get. Whoo. Yeah. Yeah, that's me. Keke. You're listening to Talking with Ron, only here on PBS. Whoo. Radio, TV. Oh. Come on. Come on. Go. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Yeah.

[00:28] Speaker 2: Good afternoon. Good afternoon. Good afternoon. Hope everyone is doing well and fine. Welcome to another great edition with Talking with Ron. I am so happy that you've joined us once again. To all my wonderful listeners, we are so happy to have you tuned in and being here. Listen, it's a great day. It's a fine day, wherever you are. Long as we're all above the ground, it's always a great day and a great feeling. I have been traveling and, um, traveling and speaking to people. Listen, I appreciate all the love that everyone gives me. I say that all the time. People just don't understand. When you have people give you that love and that joy, uh, and, and, and now coming up to you and spreading that love, I appreciate that to everybody. And I thank everybody who says we are part of what you're doing, we like what you're doing, I appreciate that to everybody. Uh, it's great. And you guys are making this thing... I couldn't do it without you guys.

[01:18] Speaker 2: So you guys are making this thing just what we want it to be, uh, all about the people for the people. Um, sound like a congressman, huh? (laughs) Speaking of which, let me just get something off my chest right quick. We're gonna have a great action-packed show today. Uh, we got a great guest coming on. Um, as usual, all our guests are great, and we have another great guest going to be on today. But let me get something off my chest. We had scheduled, uh, and this is why I don't do politics. Uh, we had a, a, a, a, a person running for office, um, senate office, um, and they wanted to come on this show. Uh, we rearranged some things for this person, um, and for some reason, I don't know, they couldn't work it out, uh, with my staff or whatever. But listen, let me tell you something. All this is time and money. This is not something where it's fun and, and, and games. It's time and money.

[02:08] Speaker 2: Uh, and for you, sir, uh, you know who you are, I'm gonna leave you nameless right now, uh, to waste, uh, my time, my staff time, uh, um, coming on this show. Listen, I don't care who you are. I don't care what office you're, you're running for, and none of that. Um, we've been asked before to be on the show, uh, by, by politicians, and we've turned them down. Let me say something to you. When you waste our time, it costs us money. Um, and then we don't want to bring people on here that are not serious. Sir, I hope to you that this is not how you're running your campaign. Um, because if it is, shame on you. Uh, shame on you. The American people are already suffering enough and dealing with enough. Uh, but shame on you. But please don't submit, call, want to be on this show, uh, if you don't have your stuff together. We do not do that on this show. You have to come on here together, have your stuff together, know what you want and know what you're about.

[03:01] Speaker 2: We're not gonna bring you on here for our people. So just to say that, um, shame on you, sir. Um, you know who you are. I'm gonna leave you nameless, uh, this time. But don't waste my staff time. Don't waste my time. Now, with that being said, to all of you people out there, um, that won't leave good people alone. Uh, I've heard some stories. Listen, um, this show is about family, togetherness, people. No matter what color, creed, uh, religion, sex you are. I say that all the time. Um, if you do not agree with somebody, it's their right and their opinion. This is what this country was built off of. Um, let people live. This is why our show has become so, uh, big and popular, and I thank everybody, because this is what our show is about. Letting people be themselves. Letting people be, uh, who they are. And this is what we think, um, our show and people who related to this show want to do and be about. That's why this show grows every week.

[04:02] Speaker 2: There are hard, honest working people out there, uh, on this show and come on this show, and people who are just listening to this show, watching this show, and want to be a part of this show. Life is about having fun, enjoying, um, there are great, wholesome, clean people out there, and this is what it's all about. This is what it's about, and this is what we want to let you know. Listen, so if you're a part of this show, we want you always to reach someone, teach someone, tell someone to tune in to us, um, because our message is very strong. And the strong our message is, is, uh, leave people alone. Let people enjoy them lives, let them have fun. Speaking of that, we have the Family Day coming up, um, in July. Um, and that's what Family Day is about. We have people all over, uh, saying they're coming. We got people reaching out as far as Jordan, uh, as far as, um, uh, England, um, and they want to be a part of this, and we appreciate that.

[04:48] Speaker 2: We thank everybody who wants to come and be a part of this, want to bring their families, their kids. Yes, bring them all. I- I was asked, uh, in the airport by a lady, "Can I bring my dog?" I- I don't, I don't know why you can't, but, um, so if that's your family, bring your family. Um, but anyway, I just wanted to get that off my chest, um, ab- about that. It was, it was brought to me in my ear that they could not come to a compromise two, two shows ago. Uh, we rearranged the shows for our guests, uh, for this, this person in politics to be on here, um, and, and to mess up and flake, uh, and do things. This is why we don't let politicians on this show. Uh, but anyway, nevertheless, uh, hope you're not treating your constituents and your, and, and the people, uh, you're, you're supposed to be representing, sir, like that, uh, we are, we all in trouble. Uh, but anyway, back to what we're gonna do and get back to the show, a great show.

[05:39] Speaker 2: Uh, I said we got a great guest coming on, and we do. We have a great guest coming on. Um, also, I want to mention to you guys, um, the appearance, uh, last Friday, it was. Thank you all so much. Uh, we had a great time. Uh, appreciate the, the extended love. I appreciate you guys. Uh, we had a great time. It was a wonderful thing. Um-... for you guys sharing the love and, and a great dinner. Uh, I appreciate that ad in, in Dallas, Texas. Uh, appreciate that. Uh, this, this, this young man that I wanna bring on, uh, Grammy winning, um, songwriter, uh, country singer. Great, great, great person. Uh, great, great songs. I had a chance to listen to them. His highly anticipated album, um, his highly anticipated album, Coming Home, uh, I wanna bring him on. Let's see if we got him on the line. Sam, uh, are you there? Sam Bitters, are you there, sir?

[06:35] Speaker 3: I'm here. How are you?

[06:37] Speaker 2: I'm wonderful. I'm wonderful. How are you?

[06:40] Speaker 3: Very good. I have to correct you about two things. One, I'm not a young man anymore, I'm afraid.

[06:44] Speaker 2: (laughs)

[06:45] Speaker 3: (laughs) And two, uh-

[06:46] Speaker 2: We're all as young as we feel. (laughs)

[06:48] Speaker 3: (laughs) But I appreciate... I appreciate it though. It's, uh, it's been a while since someone's called me that. Um, and, uh, I'm afraid I haven't won a Grammy yet, but working on it.

[06:57] Speaker 2: Look, speak it into existence. Hey, speak it into existence.

[07:00] Speaker 3: That's right.

[07:00] Speaker 2: It's coming. It- it's coming. With the... With that... With the great music I've heard from you, look, that Coming Home, like, I, I believe-

[07:06] Speaker 3: Definitely.

[07:06] Speaker 2: ... it's coming home. (laughs)

[07:08] Speaker 3: Appreciate that.

[07:08] Speaker 2: Uh, you can seem to kind of put your... put it on where, where you want to put it at or decide where you want to put it at. Uh, it's a pleasure, sir. Um, I, I, I love... I love your, uh, music. Uh, it was brought to me, and I think it is phenomenal. Um, so that's why I kind of preempted and said Grammy, because it's, it's coming. Uh, it is coming.

[07:26] Speaker 3: (laughs) It's manifesting.

[07:27] Speaker 2: Uh, just, just, just to let the people know, uh, a little bit about you and your, your, your music. Um, um, how long you been doing this thing since you don't wanna be a young man anymore? How long you been... How long you been doing this thing, uh, and, and, and, and your music?

[07:41] Speaker 3: Uh, over 30 years now.

[07:43] Speaker 2: Wow.

[07:44] Speaker 3: Um, so, uh, started in, uh, when I was 20, um, in a band with my older brother. Uh, we've been in a band together for, yeah, for all this time, called K's Choice. Um, we're from Belgium originally.

[07:57] Speaker 2: Okay.

[07:58] Speaker 3: Um, and, uh, so our career is mostly based there. We had a... We had a nice little stint late '90s here in the States as well on alternative radio. And then recently, um, just as a s- as a side... I, I want to... It's more than a side project because it's a, um, it's been a long time coming for me, is, uh, this solo project. It's a little more country Americana, uh, vibe. So released in Europe as well as here, so it's been a... it's been an exciting time.

[08:25] Speaker 2: Good, good. Sam, where are you... where are you based right now? I know you're all over the place. Uh, uh, where, where are you... where are you based, uh, right now?

[08:32] Speaker 3: I am in the California desert. Um-

[08:34] Speaker 2: Okay. Okay.

[08:35] Speaker 3: ... close to, close to Palm Springs.

[08:37] Speaker 2: Okay. Uh, that... Hey, that's a good place to make music. At least you have your mind free and creative. Uh, so that's a great place, uh, to make music.

[08:45] Speaker 3: Right.

[08:45] Speaker 2: Um, what are your, um, plans, uh, for touring? Uh, do you have some tours coming up? Or, uh, are you getting ready for the tour? Are you just, um, doing just simple promotions for the new album? Or, or-

[08:56] Speaker 3: Yeah. Getting ready for a tour right now. So I was just in Nashville for two weeks. Um, did a few shows there, and had a show in, uh, um, in Birmingham, Alabama as well. And then now I'm getting ready for, um, a five-week tour in Europe, uh-

[09:10] Speaker 2: Okay.

[09:10] Speaker 3: ... leaving... leaving in a couple of weeks. So a couple of the shows are... um, some of it is solo, just me, and then some of it is with... uh, is with the entire band.

[09:19] Speaker 2: Listen, if you... we have our listeners all in Europe. Um, y'all gotta go see Sam. Sam is... Listen, uh, I, I heard The Music Man, and I was like, "Wow." Listen, I am a country, uh, fan by heart. (laughs)

[09:31] Speaker 3: I appreciate that.

[09:32] Speaker 2: So I love... I love the music. Uh, great, great album. Um, and y'all gotta go see Sam. These, these shows are selling out fast. Um, I think I saw something that said, uh, there's always a, a couple that's sold out already. Uh, so y'all gotta go see him. Um, you have to go see him. You have to listen to his music. Uh, Sam is, is an outstanding, um, artist. Sam, what made you get into, um, the country feel versus, uh, R&B or any other... the, uh, music genres out there?

[10:01] Speaker 3: Well, the singer-songwriter, um, vibe has even... even though K's Choice, the band I'm in, is more of a alternative rock band, the singer-songwriter part of me, it's always been there. Um, so I was always a big fan of, um, yeah, just like authentic, you know, really heartfelt, you know, just coming right... coming right from the heart kind of music. And, uh, I feel like right now in country music, es-... or some of it, at least, in, uh, Americana music, there's still so much space for honest, uh, authentic songwriting. And it's not about the appearance, and it's not about, uh, age, luckily. And, uh, and it's... you know, it's not about the flashiness. It's really just if you... if you can write a great song and you can sing a great song, you're... you... there's a lane for you there. And so, um, I appreciate that about, about that genre, and I really felt like I wanted to... I wanted to, you know, take a swing at it.

[10:52] Speaker 2: So what's, what's your inspiration when you go in, um, the studio and, uh, write music? Uh, I know I've had... uh, I've managed, uh, so many artists, and I know one of the things they say is speaking on your life or things around you. Uh, what's your inspiration when you, when you get into the studio or you start writing? Uh, first of all, do you write your own music?

[11:14] Speaker 3: Yeah, I write me- my own music. And, uh, I've done a couple of co-writes, but, um, a lot of it I just write when I'm by myself, and, um, just everyday life, you know. Things that i- it's... it doesn't take much these days to look around you and, and be moved, um, by things and, and to want to have a voice and to want to have a say in it. So, um, I write about, you know, everyday life things, like, like, like love and, and sadness and loss, and, uh, sometimes a little more, um, a little more of a... I don't really write about politics, but I, I do. Um, I just kind of try to get subjects to the... to the front a little bit and just get people talking about things. Um, but just, yeah, everyday, everyday life and the, the, the beauty of it, and the... and the hardships of it at the same time.

[11:57] Speaker 2: What's your... what's your... what's your inspiration on, on Coming Home? Um, I mean, like I said, I, I was... I, I, I heard it when it was brought to me. Man, I'm like, "This is beautiful." What, what's your inspiration, uh, with Coming Home? Um, what's, what's, what's the inspiration behind that?

[12:13] Speaker 3: Yeah. That's really just a song about, um, I feel like there's... at any, you know, point in the day, you feel a certain way, um, music can really, uh, either enhance it or just, uh, change your mood in a, in a minute, you know. I, I have records that I just, like, I have to put this on right now. This is exactly what I, what I need to listen to. And, uh, so that's kind of what it's, what it's about. It's the role of music in our lives and how quickly it can make you, you know, so happy, so sad, so emotional, so in the moment. Um, and I have records like that that I can put on. And I, I, I got a vinyl player last year 'cause I hadn't had one in a long time.

[12:50] Speaker 2: (laughs)

[12:50] Speaker 3: And it's so much fun to drop that needle and like, "Okay, this is exactly the mood I'm in." And this is the, the record I just made. I'm kind of really hoping that it feels like coming home for people, you know. When they put it on, that's the kinda, that's the kinda music that gets them in the right vibe.

[13:04] Speaker 2: Yes. Yes. And, uh, and I'm, and I must say, if, if you didn't say it at any point in time, you could say it now. You just told your age when you said, "Put that vinyl on." I just recently got one myself, so I know, I know what that is when you say, "Putting the vinyl on." (laughs)

[13:18] Speaker 3: (laughs)

[13:18] Speaker 2: So you can't say that part of it. Um, so, um, Sam, how is it when you're on the road? Um, how's... I know touring can be, uh, kind of brutal, uh, at times, and I know it's, it's stressful. People think it's always, um... People think it's always just a, a good life or, you know, you have fun and so forth and so on, that. Um, I know being on tour i- is kinda rough. How do you, uh, deal with that, um, being on tour? I know loving the people and getting that love from the people is one thing, but, you know, when you go back home or, or, you know, to the hotel and you, you know, you do the same thing. It's, it's, it's just repetition over and over and over and over. How, ho- how is being on the road, um, eh, for you?

[13:58] Speaker 3: Well, a couple of things. We've always, we've always been able to balance it out, and so we've always agreed, like, you know, certain, certain limit to, to every time we travel and, and we're away from our families. So three weeks is kinda the limit, 'cause I feel like once you get to a month, like, you don't really feel like you're part of the family anymore. (laughs) So, uh, we always-

[14:15] Speaker 2: You don't want them around, okay.

[14:17] Speaker 3: We go and... Yeah, and they, they get way too used to it without me. Like, they got their groove going and, like, like, "We don't need you, Dad. We're, we've been fine without you." Um, and also, I've been really lucky and really blessed, uh, in my life that I've been able to surround myself with awesome people. So, um, it's not luxury, you know. We don't... We definitely don't travel like rock stars, but, um, being on the road with your friends, uh, people that you really trust and, and, and, you know, little bit of that us against the rest of the world feel, um, it really is very special. So that's what, that's what keeps motivating me, even if, you know, it's still rough sometimes. You're a little tired. Um, not every hotel is as nice as, (laughs) as the last one.

[14:56] Speaker 2: Exact- exactly. (laughs)

[14:57] Speaker 3: Yeah. You gotta get up early. Go to sleep late, get up early, but all that stuff. Um, like you mentioned, um, you know, the crowds make up for a lot, you know. Connecting with people is really... That's, that's what I love to do. I just wanna be out there and play music and, and have, like, a, a, the same experience in the same room with the people that are, that are there. I think that's getting more precious all the time. Um, it's not the same as listening to music online. It's not the same as listening to the radio. Just, just being with people and, and sharing the same moment, that's super special to me. And, uh, yeah, that keeps me, keeps me, keeps me motivated and just happy to be out there.

[15:32] Speaker 2: So you are, um, doing, um... I mean, I'm sorry. My, uh, my, my, uh, co-host just made it in. She was a little late, uh, getting here-

[15:39] Speaker 1: Hi, folks.

[15:40] Speaker 2: ... today. (laughs) Uh, but-

[15:42] Speaker 3: Hi.

[15:42] Speaker 2: ... uh, um, my, um, my thing I wanted to ask you, so are you having any plans, uh, to do Europe or are you just strictly gonna do the, uh, US?

[15:51] Speaker 3: Yeah, so the upcoming dates are all Europe. Um, and, uh, we're trying to put together some dates in the US here. I've, uh, like, so I was just in Nashville. I did a tour, uh, on the East Coast a couple months ago. Played some dates here on the West Coast. And we're just trying to put together some more West Coast dates for later this year. Um, but for now, um, everything that's planned is, uh, is back in Europe.

[16:12] Speaker 2: Back in Europe? Good, good. So, uh, I, and I know, I, I read, um, how, uh, how's the reviews? Um, I, I read the album is, is, is already doing well. Um, um, how, how are you receiving that from your fans and, and people who, uh, follow you, uh, with the new album?

[16:31] Speaker 3: Yeah, I, I, um, my wife keeps joking that I, that I always try to, um, seem to pick the, the hardest route, so I pick a genre-

[16:39] Speaker 2: (laughs)

[16:39] Speaker 3: ... that is not popular in Europe. And, um, no one really knows that well yet who I am here in the States, so I'm just like... (laughs) Uh, the, the genre is popular, but people don't know about me yet. So it's, it's kinda difficult in both places for different reasons. But I see, like, in the, the reception in Europe has been, um, has been really good, um, really positive, uh. Like I said, I have three-week tour coming up. Some of the dates are already sold out, so no complaints there. Um, and here, it's just, it's just a matter of, uh, of building. Um, all the reviews have been great. People really love the record, but it's just a, a matter of building an audience and, um, trying to get people to know, to know who I am. And, and, uh, and I think once they get to know the record and come see a live show, like, I, I, I hope just as it, as it is in Europe, they become, uh, lifelong fans.

[17:28] Speaker 3: And now I'm just kind of building, trying to build the same loyal fan base I have back there, um, back there, here, uh, in the States. So it's just a... The reactions have been good, but, you know, still have to, have to keep building.

[17:41] Speaker 2: Hey, yeah, you're in the best, you're in the best of genre already because, uh, if, if, if you're on the Nashville circuit, that's probably the hardest circuit, uh, in, in country, as you may well know. And, and if you're-

[17:53] Speaker 3: Yep.

[17:53] Speaker 2: ... you're doing there and, and, and being invited there, you're already a strong path of the (laughs) battle by itself, because that's a hard, uh, place to be accepted, you know, in, in music and breaking it, because they kinda always have their traditional people who they want and who they deal with, uh, you know. And, and c-

[18:11] Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely.

[18:11] Speaker 2: Speaking of that, has that been hard for you, um, in that, in that area, um, in, in that area, period? Or, you know, with the, um, with the other country singers or so long... You know, 'cause people kinda have their own, you know, what they want, you know?

[18:28] Speaker 3: It's just a really hard... like you just mentioned, it's just a really hard, um, chord to break into. Um, you know, I did a couple of small shows back there. Um, definitely not a household name, uh, yet, by any means. Um, but you know, I, I, I keep thinking, um, that I... the lane I wanna be in, you know, I'm not looking to be one of the top 20. I'm not looking to get to the CMA Awards. I mean, if it comes, I'll, I'll, I'll be happy to receive one. But, um, the lane I wanna be in is really, I wanna be able to travel all around, um, have people pay 25 bucks to come see me play. That's really, that's really just what I wanna do. And, and, uh, um, it's gonna be through hard work and, you know, like finding people, like, finding ways to have people find my music. And, uh, it doesn't have to be the big, uh, country stations, and, and I don't need to be on that stage. I, I just really wanna find, yeah, find my fans and, and, and find ways for them to find me.

[19:22] Speaker 2: Sam, I must tell you, as a former manager, your manager's flipping flips right now when you said $25. (laughs)

[19:30] Speaker 3: (laughs)

[19:30] Speaker 2: Uh, but-

[19:30] Speaker 3: I was trying to-

[19:31] Speaker 2: ... actually-

[19:31] Speaker 3: I was trying to be modest.

[19:32] Speaker 2: Yeah. So, yo, you're... I'm, I'm sure, uh, you're flipping flips right now that it's something you never wanna hear your artist say a price.

[19:39] Speaker 3: (laughs)

[19:41] Speaker 2: But... Ari, you were gonna say something?

[19:43] Speaker 4: But I think you're on the, on the right road, especially by you, uh, s- mentioning, uh, you know, you just want to, to get your fan base, which I, I think you absolutely... I love how you're so humble, right? And you, uh, you're just-

[19:55] Speaker 3: Yeah.

[19:55] Speaker 4: ... so humble about it. As, as Ron mentioned, you know, just saying, "If they could just pay 25 bucks to come see me." But, you know, the, the type of music that you have and, uh-

[20:03] Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.

[20:03] Speaker 4: ... the music just speaks to your, to your s- soul. Um, I think you, you're far more, much more than, uh, uh, value of $25 a seat. So, let's just say-

[20:12] Speaker 3: (laughs) I appreciate it.

[20:13] Speaker 4: ... once you have... when, when you have your events and you have your, uh, concerts, we'll definitely pay to come and, and see you perform because you're absolutely... the music is absolutely amazing.

[20:22] Speaker 3: Thanks so much.

[20:23] Speaker 2: Wait, wait. Wait, wait. Sh- she's, she's gonna pay, right? So she'll, she'll cover that, but w-

[20:27] Speaker 3: I think she said she'd pay more. I heard her say it.

[20:30] Speaker 4: I, I, I, I would definitely pay more. I don't mind paying for, for, uh, uh, great entertainment. I'll say that.

[20:36] Speaker 2: Well, listen, Sam, I, I would like to be backstage hanging out with you. I'm, I'm not the audience person. I like to be backstage. So she can go and, and do that paying in the box office, but I like to be in the, the, the-

[20:48] Speaker 3: I'm putting you on the list.

[20:49] Speaker 2: Thank you, sir. I, I... that's where I was going to.

[20:52] Speaker 4: I don't mind buying tickets. I, I will buy tickets for others to come and definitely see your show. For sure.

[20:58] Speaker 3: That's so, that's so sweet. Thank you very much.

[21:00] Speaker 2: A- a- and let me, let me just... let me say this, Sam. Um, um, great, great personality, uh, um, and, and like Yara was saying, uh, the humbleness. And I think, um, just... not just your personality and the refreshment... uh, refreshing of it. Um, this is what our show is about. It's about people, just being people, and letting people live and be themselves and who they are. But I think more than that, um, just, just the, the music that you're, you're, you're generating, um, and you're s- you're being so modest about it. I already said at the beginning of the show, I, I see the Grammy coming. So come back bringing a Grammy on you.

[21:32] Speaker 3: (laughs)

[21:33] Speaker 2: Let's celebrate together. It's coming. Um, I mean-

[21:35] Speaker 3: Sounds good.

[21:36] Speaker 2: ... you, you, you definitely put your dues in, and I think it's now coming to that, that front, um... But your music is, is helping people in a time... as you all know, we're dealing with a lot, and we got a lot going on, uh, you know, i- in... not just in t- United States of America, but the world. Um, you know, and I think that's the one thing, like you said, music is a feel-good. It gives people a feel-good. Uh, and that's what your music is doing. Uh, let me just say this too. People, please go. Um, Sam, tell them how they can get your music, how they can stream it. I'm telling all my audience, go listen to the music, download it.

[22:12] Speaker 4: Yes.

[22:12] Speaker 2: Support him when he's in your area, because there's not a better humble guy, um, that you can meet or see. Uh, country is supposed to be humble, period. Country music is supposed to be... that's what it was bred from, being humble and just a, uh, the good boy having a good time. Uh, no point intended. Uh, I don't want my listeners to get on me. But that's what it was supposed to be. And I think you, you definitely excrete that persona of, of being a, a, a down-to-earth, humble person, uh, period.

[22:39] Speaker 4: Sam, I don't... if you don't mind, I know you absolutely love your entire album, 'cause it's your album, but which would be the top five or top three songs that you would... uh, that you can just play over and over and over again that you just absolutely fell in love with while making?

[22:53] Speaker 3: Oh. Um, one of them, first one I think of is Unlucky. Um, that's one of my favorites. Uh, it's one of those songs where I, I was really lucky to be able to record this album in Nashville with, like, top of the top musicians. It was one of my dreams-

[23:06] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.

[23:06] Speaker 3: ... that came true, to sit in the middle of the studio and just close my eyes and listen to those guys play. It was just... and this song is a song that literally when I came in, it was a voice memo on my iPhone-

[23:16] Speaker 4: Oh.

[23:16] Speaker 3: ... with just me and the guitar. And 30 minutes later, these u- unbelievable musicians were putting this song together, and it's like, "I can't believe this is a song that I wrote, what I'm hearing right now." So, I remember that moment of hearing it come together for the first time. And, um... so, uh, that's one of my favorites. It's, it's a song. It's not an autobiographical song, 'cause I'm very, very lucky. I've been very lucky in, in life. Um, but about people who just don't start at the s- in the same spot.

[23:45] Speaker 4: That's awesome.

[23:45] Speaker 3: And I'm, I'm very aware that not everyone starts in the same spot, um, and that for some people, it's an uphill battle from the get-go. And, uh, so that's kind of what that, what that song is about. It's one of my favorites.

[23:57] Speaker 4: Well, Unlucky. You have two more.

[23:59] Speaker 3: All right. Unlucky. Um-

[24:01] Speaker 2: (laughs)

[24:02] Speaker 3: Uh, another one is, um, Your Kid. I had read an article, um, uh, about a family, and the, the parents were not accepting of their gay son, and it was their religion that was preventing them from accepting him. And it was a really long, sad... long article, uh, about a long, sad process. And eventually, um, they came together, and, uh, they found a way to come together. And so, it was a lot of forgiveness on both sides, and a lot of love and a lot of understanding. And, um, that made me write, that made me write, uh, that song.Awesome.

[24:40] Speaker 2: So, Sam, where, where can people hear your music? Um, where can they reach, um, you per se, uh, booking, all of that great stuff that comes along -

[24:49] Speaker 3: Yeah. Everything's, um, everything's avail- available on Apple Music or Spotify, wherever, um, people listen to their music. Um, I have a, a good website, sambettens.com, where all the tour dates, um, are up, and, uh, along with contact, how people can contact management or, or booking information. Um, I'm on Instagram, just @sambettens, um, YouTube and Facebook. Um, yeah, that's, uh, that's about it, I think.

[25:14] Speaker 2: And listen, y'all. Sam misspoke to it. I don't think the Europe dates are $25 tickets, but-

[25:20] Speaker 3: No.

[25:20] Speaker 2: ... y'all gotta get out there (laughs) and support him. Look, I'm, I'm, I'm stepping in for your manager now. I don't think they're $25.

[25:26] Speaker 3: I appreciate it. (laughs)

[25:27] Speaker 4: They're not $25, but definitely whatever the price is, I, I recommend that you absolutely pay, because you're listening to great music.

[25:35] Speaker 2: And we, we definitely appreciate you taking out the time coming on, Sam. Um, when you're back in the States-

[25:40] Speaker 3: Oh, thank you so much for having me. Thank you so much.

[25:41] Speaker 2: Oh, our, our pleasure, um, because like I said, our audience, we bring people on here with positivity and want, just understand people are people. We bring no one on our show... Uh, I've been asked by a lot of people to be on, very selective. Um, and, and you heard me speaking on the top of the hour about the politician. Um, normally, I don't let politicians on. Uh, and these are some of the reasons why. But again, hey, you know, it, it is what it is, because we want genuine people. Um, he begged to be on the show, and then, you know, anyway. So I'm not gonna get back to that. I'm not gonna take away from Sam sign, but, uh, Sam, when you are back in the United States, um, please look us up. Uh, we wanna come out, um, to your show. We wanna be, um, supportive of, of you, your music. But before we let you go, quick question. So what are you doing? I know you said you're with a band. Um, is that your band, or is that, um... That's your band. Is that your band?

[26:31] Speaker 3: Yeah. The band, band was my brother. Uh, so we started-

[26:34] Speaker 4: Oh, okay.

[26:34] Speaker 3: ... we started really young. I was, I was 19, and, um, he's two years older. And, uh, we just kind of like... Yeah, we didn't think, coming from Belgium, that having a musical career and not having an, a second job was really something that was within the realm of possibility. So we, uh, things just started happening for us really quick in the beginning, and we got lucky. Uh, Independent Label found us, and they had connections with Sony Music.

[26:59] Speaker 3: And before we knew it, we were playing all over Europe, and got to open for Alanis Morissette in the States, and, um-

[27:05] Speaker 2: Wow.

[27:05] Speaker 3: ... and the Indigo Girls. So we got some, some great opportunities, uh, in the beginning. And, yeah, we've been going ever since.

[27:12] Speaker 2: And you're here now. Uh, just, just steps away from the Grammy, uh, Grammy...

[27:17] Speaker 4: (laughs)

[27:17] Speaker 2: We're just steps away from it. Uh, you know.

[27:19] Speaker 3: Wait. Once that, once that Grammy comes, you think I could, I could get it up to $30 tickets maybe?

[27:25] Speaker 4: (laughs)

[27:25] Speaker 2: (Laughs)

[27:25] Speaker 4: That's a, a whole lot.

[27:26] Speaker 2: Yeah, a whole lot, a whole lot... I think you could do that before then, though. But a whole lot more. Yes, uh, absolutely. I'm putting my neck on the line on that one. Absolutely.

[27:34] Speaker 3: (laughs)

[27:34] Speaker 2: Listen, Sam, we appreciate you so much. Um-

[27:37] Speaker 3: Absolutely.

[27:37] Speaker 2: Whenever you get new music, you're always welcome back to the show, um, and, and, and to promote, uh, on the show. We love having you, because again, we like what you stand for. Listen, everybody, go out, get Sam's stuff. Sam, tell them one more time where they can find your music, uh, and the tour dates.

[27:52] Speaker 3: Yeah. The album, everything's, um, everything's avail- available on Apple Music or Spotify, wherever, um, people listen to their music. Um, I have a, a good website, sambettens.com, where all the tour dates, um, are up, and, uh, along with contact, how people can contact management or, or booking information. Um, I'm on Instagram, just @sambettens.

[27:53] Speaker 4: Awesome.

[27:53] Speaker 2: Um-

[27:53] Speaker 3: Um, YouTube and Facebook. Um, yeah, that's, uh, that's about it, I think.

[27:53] Speaker 2: And listen, y'all. Sam misspoke to it. I don't think the Europe dates are $25 tickets- ... but y'all gotta get out there (laughs) and support him. Look, I'm, I'm, I'm stepping in for your manager now. I don't think they're $25

[27:53] Speaker 3: ... album's called Coming Home. Uh, Sam Bettens. And all information, tour tickets, um, everything you would like to know about me, videos, uh, on sambettens.com.

[28:03] Speaker 2: Thank you so much, Sam.

[28:04] Speaker 4: Yes.

[28:04] Speaker 2: We're gonna be looking for you in the States now. We're gonna... I'm gonna be backstage, knocking on the door. (laughs)

[28:08] Speaker 3: I'm counting on it. (laughs)

[28:10] Speaker 2: Thank you so much, Sam.

[28:11] Speaker 3: Thanks so much.

[28:11] Speaker 2: Thank you for your time.

[28:11] Speaker 3: Thanks for your energy.

[28:12] Speaker 4: Thank you.

[28:13] Speaker 2: Thank you. You have a good one. Thank you.

[28:14] Speaker 4: Have a great day.

[28:15] Speaker 3: You too. Bye-bye.

[28:16] Speaker 4: Bye.

[28:16] Speaker 2: Bye-bye. Always good, always good to have someone-

[28:20] Speaker 4: Yeah.

[28:20] Speaker 2: ... wonderful and great on the show, uh, like, like that, um, to have them on the show, you know, and, and stand for something in, in the music, you know. And that-

[28:28] Speaker 4: I agree.

[28:28] Speaker 2: ... that, that's the great, great part about it, um, with, with having someone like that, and a very talented artist, very talented artist.

[28:34] Speaker 4: Yes.

[28:35] Speaker 2: Um-

[28:35] Speaker 4: Yes, he absolutely is.

[28:36] Speaker 2: He's got his tour of Europe, man. I mean, you know, all of Europe, and, and, and... Uh, and we might need to go to Europe and see, but I mean, great, great guy. Great, great guy all the way around. I heard the music. Great music.

[28:47] Speaker 4: Yes. I agree. Um, if you, again, please go out and, uh, download his music, Apple Music, Spotify.

[28:55] Speaker 2: And then y'all do like, y'all do like Yara, y'all. Remember, y'all go out and, and pay, pay the $25 that Sam was talking about the, the-

[29:01] Speaker 4: Well, I was saying that we could pay a little bit more.

[29:03] Speaker 2: (laughs)

[29:04] Speaker 4: Uh, I believe that Sam is, is, is definitely really, a, a really good musician. Um-

[29:08] Speaker 2: Yeah.

[29:08] Speaker 4: ... I love country music. So to have a really great, uh, country music musician, um, is absolutely wonderful. So please, uh, go and purchase his, uh, tickets, and please look online to see his tour dates, and please, uh, go and, and support.

[29:24] Speaker 2: Now, let me say this, too. Um, everyone who may be, um... And I know everyone can hear us all around the world. Um, everyone who is in other countries with what's going on, um, please be safe. Uh, please, please take your necessary precautions, uh, to be safe. Um, make it back home. Uh, we know people here are not being allowed to travel, and that's fine. But people everywhere, uh, outside of here, um, please, we have a large following outside of the country, and we want everybody, um, to be safe.

[29:58] Speaker 4: Be safe.

[29:59] Speaker 2: Be safe. Um, do what you need to do to take your precautions, uh, to, to be safe outside of, uh, here, and who, who are stuck in other countries.

[30:08] Speaker 4: Different countries.

[30:08] Speaker 2: Yeah.

[30:09] Speaker 4: Yeah.

[30:09] Speaker 2: Yeah, with so much going on. Um, great, still, great family day coming up.

[30:14] Speaker 4: Yes.

[30:15] Speaker 2: Uh, we want everybody to stay for that to come up.

[30:17] Speaker 4: Absolutely.

[30:17] Speaker 2: Yeah, Family Day, uh, is pushing closer, getting closer, um, pretty soon.

[30:22] Speaker 4: That's gonna be-

[30:22] Speaker 2: Pretty soon.

[30:22] Speaker 4: ... a really good time.

[30:23] Speaker 2: In July.

[30:24] Speaker 4: Can't wait for you all to hear all of the wonderful, uh, events that we have scheduled, and all of the fun things that we're gonna do. Again, you know, we love everybody, um, all-... all of everyone. It doesn't matter, uh, we are colorblind when it comes to any race.

[30:40] Speaker 2: Yeah.

[30:40] Speaker 4: Um, so, you know, we want everybody to come out and participate. And, um, just enjoy good family fun. You know, we're like one big family, you know? It's like a... It'll be like a family reunion, you know-

[30:50] Speaker 2: Yeah.

[30:50] Speaker 4: ... how y'all come out and meet people.

[30:51] Speaker 2: No, most definitely.

[30:52] Speaker 4: But this will be so fun because we've never met you before. So we would love to come out and start a connection, and build a connection, and rapport with you all in person. And we'll have this annually.

[31:03] Speaker 2: Yeah, I was-

[31:03] Speaker 4: I'm excited.

[31:04] Speaker 2: ... I was telling a lady, I've been telling a lady, said, um, can she bring her dog? I said, "Well, that's part of your family." I don't know, but, you know, if that's a part of your family, hey, bring, bring, bring your dog, um, long as he's not out there biting anybody. (laughs) Um, that, that would be-

[31:17] Speaker 4: We have a dog too, so I think she'll, she, she will have a, a partner.

[31:20] Speaker 2: Well, that's what she saying, so, I mean-

[31:22] Speaker 4: Yeah.

[31:22] Speaker 2: ... she said that. I, I, I never thought of-

[31:24] Speaker 4: If she brought a dog, she would have, she would have a friend.

[31:26] Speaker 2: (laughs) I never thought about that.

[31:27] Speaker 4: (laughs)

[31:28] Speaker 2: Uh, and I, and I wanted to speak to you on a, uh, great, great guy. Um, we'll have him coming up pretty soon. His name is Richard Cummings. Uh, his company is the Organic Skin Care. Um, um, and, and I know you guys might be saying, "Well, eh, what i- what is that about the Organic Skin Care?" Listen, um, great guy. Gonna be on the show telling you a lot about, um, his company. And everything that he has is, um, natural for my understanding. Um, and, and it... And he has something... I don't wanna give too much away because I want him to tell us about it and his company next week. So he'll be on the show. Um, we're looking forward to that. Uh, his company's called the, uh, Organic Skin Care, OrganicskinCare.com. So y'all can start looking into it, researching it, uh, whatever you need, um, um. Richard, Richard is a great guy. Uh, his company's out of New Jersey.

[32:21] Speaker 4: Oh, okay.

[32:21] Speaker 2: So, uh, we, we will have him on next week, um. And we look forward to that, talking to him about, um, Organic...

[32:29] Speaker 4: Skin Care.

[32:30] Speaker 2: ... Skin Care, um. In this day and age, with all the stuff that-

[32:32] Speaker 4: And that's very important 'cause with this day and age, you know, you have all these different types of chemicals in all of the... all of these different type of things that they put in, uh, uh, your skincare line as well, right? So something that you can absolutely be familiar with and understand what's going on your skin is very important.

[32:49] Speaker 2: Yeah.

[32:49] Speaker 4: Because so many people nowadays, they... You know, you find out you put certain things on your skin that shouldn't be appropriate for our skin use.

[32:56] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.

[32:56] Speaker 4: So to have something that's all natural, I'm all for it. And we've seen some of the products. We've, uh, uh, uh, they smell really nice. Really clean, fresh scents. So I'm excited to have 'em on.

[33:08] Speaker 2: Yeah. And, and, and, and I said this at the top of the, uh, hour when we started this show. Uh, another thing I wanted to say, and, uh, you know, I, I don't... Anybody know me, I don't bite my tongue, um, and I don't really care what people say, um, period. Let me, let me just say this, uh, to, to some of the people out there who've had your voiced opinions. Um, let me say this to you, and I mean it. I don't care. Um, you, you can't determine, um, what we do on this show. Um, this show is about, like I said, for people. Um, it's for people who are good people. See, you de- degenerates out there who wanna sit back and...

[33:46] Speaker 2: I call 'em Twitter finger people, and, and, and, and-

[33:49] Speaker 4: Twitter finger.

[33:49] Speaker 2: ... and you wanna write and say things, and what you feel like. Listen, this is my show, and I don't care what you say. I, I'll give you a better solution. Turn it off. Click it off. 'Cause every day, we get the numbers. Every week we get the numbers. And there are people alarm-ly jumping on-

[34:07] Speaker 4: I was gonna say, and every week the number higher and higher.

[34:09] Speaker 2: You, you one or two degenerates think that I care about your opinion, or what you say, or how you feel it should go. Turn it off. God bless you.

[34:18] Speaker 4: There's plenty other channels and shows.

[34:19] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. Go where you...

[34:21] Speaker 4: Yeah.

[34:21] Speaker 2: As, as they say, get in where you fit in.

[34:23] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.

[34:23] Speaker 2: Um, but on me, and as from what you say to me, or, or your comments, or what you think how the show should go, or who should be on, and what should be on, and what should be said, we have 2.6 million people who say different. So as, a- as, as anybody, I say I would go with those odds. I like those odds a lot better.

[34:46] Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so too.

[34:46] Speaker 2: So, yeah, I, I would go with those odds. So, I, I definitely wanna say that to you guys. Um, not you guys, um, the, the few who like to say... or, or sit behind a, um, screen and, and, and voice your opinion-

[35:00] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.

[35:01] Speaker 2: ... uh, which don't make a hell of a beans to, to me, period. Don't make a hell of a beans to me, period. Um, you know, it, it doesn't matter to me. I've never been one, and anybody who knows me... You don't know me if you don't know me. I, I've never been one to listen or care what anyone says. Um, um, so, and, and, and obviously, my, my listeners and followers feel the same way. So, hey, take your, take your opinions elsewhere, but God bless you. Um, just wanted to get off on that again, like I did with the, uh, the politician earlier. Um, because, again, this show is about positive, and family, and people who want a change in the tide of what's going on in today's society. That's what this show is about. It... That's only... The only purpose of this show. Um, people who wanna help each other, be a part of one another, be a part of a family, um, no matter what you are. And I say this day in and day out, week in, week out.

[35:54] Speaker 4: No matter who you are.

[35:55] Speaker 2: Who you are. Your color, your skin, uh, your religion, your creed, your wallet. None of that matters. Um, none of that matters. Just if you're a good person and you have a good heart, and you wanna help people. Now, um, next week, like I said, we, we have the, the, um... We have Richard's gonna be on, um, talking about this great skincare line product, um, that he has. And we, we gone see how many people we get 'cause we... Listen, on here, we brought you everything you need.

[36:25] Speaker 2: Um, we've brought you-

[36:26] Speaker 4: Fashion.

[36:27] Speaker 2: ... fashion.

[36:28] Speaker 4: We brought-

[36:29] Speaker 2: ... health.

[36:30] Speaker 4: ... health. Fitness.

[36:31] Speaker 2: Health, fitness, finance. Um, so, uh, what am I forgetting? Oh.And then, and then, too, I must not forget the great Priceline. Priceline will get you-

[36:41] Speaker 4: Absolutely.

[36:41] Speaker 2: ... wherever we are, or wherever the show will be, or whatever we're doing, Priceline will get you there. Um, so we, we give you travel, too. Um, not on us, but we give you travel.

[36:52] Speaker 4: (laughs)

[36:52] Speaker 2: We give you travel. Um, another great thing. You guys, I'm so excited about this, uh, here at the Talking with Ron Show, we have our Visa cards coming out.

[37:03] Speaker 4: Now that's exciting.

[37:04] Speaker 2: Yeah, that, that, we have our own. And they're not just any Visa cards, they are VIP Visa cards. They are coming out. You'll be able to get them on the show. Um, you'll be getting the, we'll be able to get them, um, on the website. Um, and we're, we're working out where other places will be. But these are your exclusive Visa cards, Talking with Ron Show, um, you'll be able to get, you'll be able to get that. Um, so we're so excited about that.

[37:30] Speaker 4: Yeah.

[37:31] Speaker 2: Um, to work that out with, um, Visa and, and the banks, and all that great stuff. So now... And listen, everywhere we are, or everywhere you use it, we're working with sponsors and people, you will be getting percentages off. We got a lot of other stuff coming, too, but I'm just excited about the, the Visa deal, right?

[37:47] Speaker 4: Yes, that's really exciting.

[37:49] Speaker 2: And look, no need to worry, somebody out there, we know, somebody might be sitting there with bad credit or not a great score, we got you covered. We got you covered. We got you covered with the Talking with Ron VIP Visa cards. We got you covered.

[38:05] Speaker 4: That's pretty awesome.

[38:06] Speaker 2: Yeah.

[38:06] Speaker 4: We've got everybody covered.

[38:07] Speaker 2: Yeah, so we've got, yeah, we've got you covered.

[38:07] Speaker 4: We can cover everybody.

[38:08] Speaker 2: So, we, we got you covered all the way around. So, when you come to the family day, bring your Visa cards. And we're gonna be giving some away, um, to some of our listeners. Uh, we'll be giving some away in the near future. Uh, we can't wait. We're so excited about that. So y'all go out, call the show, um, call in, and we're gonna get you, um, hooked up with the Visa cards. We're gonna give out some of them to our listening s- listening audience. Um, we're gonna, we're gonna put some trivia in there, too. We ain't gonna just give them to you. So we're gonna put some trivia in there and make sure that, you know, they really been watching us from day one.

[38:40] Speaker 4: And listening.

[38:41] Speaker 2: Make sure, yeah. So we're gonna-

[38:42] Speaker 4: You gotta earn it.

[38:43] Speaker 2: Yeah.

[38:43] Speaker 4: You gotta-

[38:43] Speaker 2: We ain't gonna just give it away-

[38:44] Speaker 4: ... get some freebies.

[38:44] Speaker 2: ... because these, these are good cards, 'cause they're, they're VIP cards, um.

[38:47] Speaker 4: Right, so you gotta earn the cards.

[38:48] Speaker 2: They, they are VIP.

[38:49] Speaker 4: Our faithful listeners-

[38:50] Speaker 2: Yeah.

[38:50] Speaker 4: ... will definitely win a card.

[38:51] Speaker 2: VIP silver platinum Visa cards coming.

[38:54] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.

[38:54] Speaker 2: Um, so they are, they're great. We want you guys to, to, to, um, we'll, we'll be launching that real, real soon. Hopefully in the next, um, two weeks or so. But we want you to go out, get your Talking with Ron, The Show, Visa cards, um, right away. We want y'all to be a part of that. I was so excited, uh, when that, that became possible.

[39:15] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.

[39:16] Speaker 2: Um, you know, and, and, and my audience, I know y'all are great. So we're gonna, we're gonna overwhelm, uh, the Visa card people in the show, in the settings, with this. So, but we're gonna give some out, but y'all are gonna have to earn them. We have to work a little tribute here for this, you know. And we got some other things in, in workings, um, we do. So, we're moving forward. And, as always, we thank you guys, um, everybody. We thank you guys for, for tuning in.

[39:38] Speaker 2: We thank you guys-

[39:39] Speaker 4: Yes, we do.

[39:39] Speaker 2: ... for supporting us. Um-

[39:41] Speaker 4: 'Cause without you all, we wouldn't be here.

[39:43] Speaker 2: Yeah.

[39:44] Speaker 4: Yeah.

[39:44] Speaker 2: Yeah, no. We'd be talking to ourselves, and that's not good.

[39:46] Speaker 4: Yes, because that's not... I mean, you know, we can carry a good conversation, but-

[39:50] Speaker 2: Yeah, but not like, no, but I don't, not by yourself.

[39:53] Speaker 4: Not by ourselves. So, we appreciate you all every week tuning in, and, you know, listening to the things that we have, and our topics, and as well as a- as well as our guests. Um, to just to enlighten you of different things that's happening, and bring different things to you all.

[40:07] Speaker 2: And, and, and we wanna thank the great folks, too, at, uh, BBS, um, making us help, making us a nationally syndicated show, uh, on all levels and all platforms. We wanna thank the great people over there, uh, at BBS, uh, Radio and TV.

[40:22] Speaker 4: Past national.

[40:23] Speaker 2: (laughs) Well, we-

[40:24] Speaker 4: It's the future.

[40:24] Speaker 2: ... we, we, we messing with aliens now? (laughs)

[40:26] Speaker 4: No. Well, no, we're worldwide.

[40:28] Speaker 2: Yeah, we are.

[40:29] Speaker 4: Yeah.

[40:29] Speaker 2: We are. We are. We are.

[40:30] Speaker 4: We're passed international.

[40:31] Speaker 2: Yes, we are. Um, I thought you was-

[40:33] Speaker 4: (laughs)

[40:33] Speaker 2: ... you going out-

[40:34] Speaker 4: Not universal.

[40:35] Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought you were going out.

[40:36] Speaker 4: We can go, we can go that far, as well.

[40:37] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I thought. I thought you was going out and thought of some-

[40:40] Speaker 4: We are worldwide.

[40:41] Speaker 2: ... some, some, yeah, some UTFOs might had a-

[40:43] Speaker 4: No.

[40:44] Speaker 2: ... aliens had to-

[40:44] Speaker 4: Not yet.

[40:44] Speaker 2: ... told you something.

[40:45] Speaker 4: Not yet.

[40:46] Speaker 2: We, we don't have the statistics on that yet.

[40:47] Speaker 4: No.

[40:47] Speaker 2: Maybe they are listening.

[40:48] Speaker 4: So, we are, uh, universal.

[40:50] Speaker 2: Yeah. So, but, yeah. We wanna thank everybody, um, who, who helps, um, make this show a great show and be a part of it, um, and, and, and the success that it's coming. Um, because we know that each week when the numbers go up, it's somebody telling somebody about us. And we truly appreciate it. Um, we know they're not just going up, 'cause it don't work that way, um, but we truly appreciate you guys telling someone and helping, uh, make... 'Cause what this show, like I said, is about, it's about people. So, you know, it may say the Talking with Ron Show, but it's a people show.

[41:23] Speaker 4: Yeah.

[41:23] Speaker 2: Uh, it's the people who are making us what, uh, we are. And we appreciate that. Um, we really, we really do appreciate that. Um, we, we, we can't say enough from the humblings of our heart. What you think about that?

[41:35] Speaker 4: I think that's pretty good. And I also wanna say thank you for not just supporting us, but also supporting our guests. You know, as we give you information about going out to their handles and their websites and supporting them, uh, you guys are absolutely doing that. So, we really thank you for that, just to show the power of our show. And strength in numbers, right? We have the strength in numbers, and just letting our guests know, just coming with the Talking with Ron Show, um, it not only just put, expands their, uh, business or whatever the information that they're trying to provide, but they also have new supporters. They're gaining new people, new followers, uh, new customers.

[42:10] Speaker 2: Yeah. And, and, and I, I get asked-

[42:13] Speaker 4: New fans.

[42:13] Speaker 2: I get, uh, asked, so a lot of times people say, "Well, what's this show about?" Well, the show is about you, life, things. Um, you know, we, again, I've, I, I kind of contradicted myself, but we stay away from politics and we stay away from, uh, religion. Um, because, you know, you can be in those lanes, um, and, and your beliefs and do what you feel, uh, is best for you, but we just want wholesome, clean people who just wanna enjoy life. Um, you know, it, you're never too old. You're on, as I said, with, with Sam at the beginning, uh, you're only as old as you feel. And if you feel great-You look great.

[42:51] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.

[42:52] Speaker 2: You do great. And that's all, that's all that matters, uh, taking care of your families, um, having a good time, and enjoying life. Um, so we're always blessed. We're always good, no matter who you are. If you're a step above the ground in the water, uh, uh, and your head's above it, you're doing good.

[43:07] Speaker 4: It's a good day.

[43:08] Speaker 2: You're doing good.

[43:09] Speaker 4: Yeah.

[43:09] Speaker 2: Um, but yeah. So back to what I was saying, we want y'all to be aware of the Family Day coming soon. Um, it's still catching. A lot of people wanting to come from all over, and that's, that's really phenomenal. Uh, but more than, more importantly, go get that Talking with Ron Visa when it comes out. Um, we'll, we'll be flashing it on the show. It'll be on the websites. Um, but it's coming out. Talking with Ron, uh, VIP, uh, Visa card is coming soon.

[43:38] Speaker 4: And all our faith- all of our faithful listeners, continue to make sure that you're listening so we'll, we'll see who, um, are our number one fans.

[43:45] Speaker 2: And we're gonna get some of these sponsors, uh, to give deals so make sure that you do get the card.

[43:50] Speaker 4: Yeah.

[43:50] Speaker 2: Uh, and again, like I said, it, it, it's, it's, it's... Don't worry. We, we got people who, uh, credit may not be the best. Um, we got you covered. We got you covered. We got you covered.

[44:00] Speaker 4: We're thinking about everybody. We told you, we're color blind. We're not thinking about your economic status. We're not thinking about any of that. We just want great people who are listening to our... and, and great supporters.

[44:10] Speaker 2: That's right.

[44:11] Speaker 4: That's all we care about.

[44:11] Speaker 2: That's right. And if, if, if you've been following from day one, you know that everybody that's been on this show-

[44:16] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.

[44:17] Speaker 2: ... um, we're very selective. We've had people, um... And I must say this. We've had people contact the show. Um, Jennifer brings this stuff to, uh, me, and I'm, "No, it's not gonna work. No, we know they can't," um, because we have a certain agenda. We have a certain class and quality that we want on this show, and that's what we do. We bring people on there that, that represents that, have that. Not only that, can help people move forward. Progression. Um, you know, so that's why, um, we, we, we do. And I... And let me say this, too, to all my listeners. I apologize. I, I made the mistake of wanting to bring this person on, this politician on, because I thought, um, truly, um, he, he simplified that, that action and that caliber. Um, and, and true to form, he showed me that politici- not all of them are, um, what they say they are.

[45:11] Speaker 4: Yeah.

[45:11] Speaker 2: But it's okay.

[45:12] Speaker 4: Be careful in that arena. Yeah.

[45:13] Speaker 2: It's, it's okay. It's okay. Um, 'cause we've had politicians wanted to come on before, um, and, and I flat out, uh, took 'em off and denied 'em, and told 'em, "No." Um, because we want, like I said, people who want to do something and move forward, not say it. Um, how's the old saying? Be about it. Uh, not talk about it.

[45:30] Speaker 4: Not talk about it.

[45:30] Speaker 2: Not talk about it, so...

[45:31] Speaker 4: And believe. You know, when people show you who they are, believe it.

[45:34] Speaker 2: Believe 'em. Yeah. So that, that's, that's one of the great things that, um, you know, we, we, we're very selective. So anybody, like I said, come on here, you can rep- you can believe that they represent something, um, that we look for, uh, and we believe in, and that we know you guys, uh, look forward and believe in. So, um, yeah. So that, that, that is... That's... Oh. Um, listen, I enjoyed, um, um, two weeks ago, um...

[46:03] Speaker 4: Where?

[46:03] Speaker 2: The comedy show. Um-

[46:05] Speaker 4: Oh, absolutely, yeah.

[46:06] Speaker 2: L- listen. Good friend of mine. Um, if you all are out there, go check out his Netflix, um, comedy special. Bruce Bruce.

[46:17] Speaker 4: It's hilarious.

[46:18] Speaker 2: It's hilarious. Outstanding man, I'm telling you.

[46:21] Speaker 4: It's hilarious.

[46:21] Speaker 2: Go, go check out, uh, Bruce Bruce. Uh, Netflix is out now. I think it came out yesterday.

[46:27] Speaker 4: Third.

[46:28] Speaker 2: On the third, okay. Go check it out. It's, it's actually, um... It's, it's, it's ranked, m- um, number two or, or three on Netflix.

[46:35] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.

[46:35] Speaker 2: Um, so go check it out. Bruce Bruce, very funny, great guy, great comedian. Um, go check it out. Um, also, uh, another good, um, part of our management, um, company that we have, uh, Comedian Grossman, um, very funny.

[46:51] Speaker 4: Yes, he is hilarious as well.

[46:52] Speaker 2: If, if you all have seen the, uh, tour with, uh, Bruce Bruce, um, Comedian Grossman, Rickey Smiley, Donnell Rollins, um, and I'm missing somebody, but, um, y- you... I know you guys, if you seen it, you laughing. And I know you will call me laughing, like, the- these, these, these fellas will have you, uh, laughing, beyond laughing. So, if they're coming to your town, uh, go check 'em out.

[47:17] Speaker 4: Yeah.

[47:17] Speaker 2: Go see 'em. They will have you laughing all the way around. Great, great comedians. Been in the game a long, long time, um, and they will have you laughing. Like, they will let... They will literally have you laughing. Um, but I think that's... That's a, a, a, a great show.

[47:33] Speaker 4: I think it... Yeah, I think so.

[47:35] Speaker 2: Think so. Great show.

[47:36] Speaker 4: Good one.

[47:36] Speaker 2: Uh, once again, great, great having, uh, Sam on. Um, great having Sam on, and, and, and, um, don't forget to, um, tune in next week for, uh... And, and, and hold up. Let me just say this, fellas. Uh, I think Richard will... His company and the skincare will have something for the fellas, too. Uh, we're... It's not a ladies show. So I know times when people hear skincare, they think-

[47:58] Speaker 4: Now, wait a minute.

[47:58] Speaker 2: ... they, they think it's all ladies.

[48:00] Speaker 4: ... everybody, everybody needs to take care of their skin.

[48:02] Speaker 2: Yeah. So, so please, uh-

[48:03] Speaker 4: So not just for... It's for everybody.

[48:05] Speaker 2: Yeah.

[48:05] Speaker 4: It's unisex.

[48:06] Speaker 2: Yeah, so don't, don't tune out, fellas, and think... Hey, listen. We, we... Hey, we gonna take care of you, too. I think, I think, uh, his... And you can always go and check the line out. Um, um, check his line out. Check the, uh, company line out, and, and see. But I think he's gonna have something for all walks of life, um, all walks of life. Great, great guy. Um, so don't forget. Check it out next week. Um, him and-

[48:30] Speaker 4: Richard Hans.

[48:31] Speaker 2: Yes. So, everybody, please, once again, stay safe. Um, we know, we know we have everybody outside of the country who are listening. Um, stay safe out there.

[48:41] Speaker 4: Yeah.

[48:41] Speaker 2: Um, we want you to get you back home safe, where that it... wherever that destination is with so much that's going on. Uh, and remember, help your neighbor. Help your brother.Help your sister, we're all one. It doesn't cost anything to help someone. Um, we all can be up today and down tomorrow. So once again, you guys, appreciate you tuning in, and, um, staying in on this show, and staying with us. Wanna just say, um, God bless you. Great show, once again. But tune in next week for the big show that we have coming up. And, and don't forget the Visa card coming up.

[49:15] Speaker 4: Yes. That's one of the biggest highlights.

[49:17] Speaker 2: Yes.

[49:17] Speaker 4: Eighteen hour family gathering.

[49:19] Speaker 2: Yes. Don't forget that. But we, we all ain't forgot that, 'cause y'all are blowing these, these, these things up about, um-

[49:24] Speaker 4: We can't wait to meet you all in person.

[49:26] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.

[49:26] Speaker 4: Really cannot... We're excited for all the fun activities we're gonna have for the kids, for the adults. We're gonna have a, a, a ball, um, literally a ball, where we get dressed up and look nice, and, um, we're able to put the kids to bed, and just have, uh, some, a great time, just with the adults.

[49:44] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.

[49:45] Speaker 4: You know, four, seven.

[49:45] Speaker 2: Everybody needs that break, yeah. But, no, let me clarify now. She's saying that, but they don't... You can put them to bed, but make sure somebody watching, because we don't have no babysitters.

[49:52] Speaker 4: No.

[49:53] Speaker 2: Make sure, make sure (laughs) you got somebody to watch them. (laughs)

[49:55] Speaker 4: We don't need the big, uh, the CPS to be called. We need to make sure the kids are okay.

[49:59] Speaker 2: Yeah. We, we don't wanna ruin the, we don't wanna ruin the family day with somebody getting arrested.

[50:03] Speaker 4: That's right.

[50:03] Speaker 2: So, no. So, no, make sure you got somebody there to, to watch them. But, yeah, we, we, we can't wait.

[50:08] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.

[50:09] Speaker 2: Uh, and, and use your Visa card. Uh, we're working... We will be working with the hotels, and seeing if we can get discounts for those people who have-

[50:16] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.

[50:16] Speaker 2: ... the Talking With Ron Show VIP Visa cards. Um, so we definitely want y'all to, to, to have that, and, uh-

[50:23] Speaker 4: And it definitely... And I mean, by getting discounts, uh, and offers with the Visa, there's benefits to having it. So not just-

[50:29] Speaker 2: Yeah.

[50:29] Speaker 4: ... saying that you have a Talking With Ron, uh, Visa card, there's benefits. So we'll, we'll be sharing all of those benefits, and the different companies that will, uh, you'll be receiving discounts, and different things of that sort, just for having the Talking With Ron card. So, please, when they're, uh, they'll be available soon. You said in about-
