-
This is the last week of our series of co-hosted shows but so that the audience knows I will keep you updated and want to continue to interview Tracie from time to time so that you can follow and catch up on some of the amazing things that are happening in her world. One of which we want to talk about first up this morning. Tracie has some exciting news to share with all of you….What’s your wonderful news and what does this mean for your artwork and your business?
-
In one of our earliest shows, we spent time talking about your journey into being a fulltime artist. We explored the uniqueness of this artistic journey from your corporate working experience into creativity. Tracie to you think that this corporate background assisted the growth of the business, or did it hinder your growing creative passions? You do you end up balancing the call of creativity and the necessity of business growth?
-
In the 3rd show of the series we talked extensively about the “tools of your trade” and I was interested in some of the everyday products and things you use to creative your exclusive art. So, there’s bubble wrap and cling wrap for instance – how did you discover that they worked in your pieces to create the impression you wanted?
-
The richness of your work is often given depth using gold silver and bronze leaf. I know you love these products, but they are not always easy to work with. Tell me about how your first experience using gold leaf and how has that practice developed?
-
Your work is renowned for hand embellishment to give the piece not only a Tracie Eaton uniqueness but depth and contrast. It’s such a beautiful feature of many of your artworks now – did this practice come by accident in the beginning or what it an intentional creative intuition?
-
What’s your favorite brush and why?
-
We have been filming in your actual studio so that the audience could experience the feel of a working artists space. I wanted to draw the audience’s eyes to the colorful canvas you use to paint your work on, which I think is actually a work of art in itself. Do you get asked if you sell your working easel?
-
We spoke about some of the different genres in which you create your pieces and that includes wearable art. This is a particular style of artistic expression based on clothes. Can you walk us through how this style developed for you and how it leads itself to the creation of beautiful bespoke gowns for special occasions?
-
We have mentioned each week the pieces you were commission to create for the Oscars. How special is it to create for such a big moment in an actors life and how did that process work for you?
-
One of the other types of art work you are renowned for is that of the creation of artwork for major developments, commercial spaces and offices. What is it about the creation of these huge pieces of art that excited you most?
-
Lets quickly run through the steps of individual commissioned art pieces and how magic and special this work is for you as an artist?
-
The progress of the commissioned art work you are and co creating for the show…15 minutes at the end of each show we will show the progress so that the audience get to experience the wonder of creation…
