About Mimi

I believe that everyone has the capacity to learn the skills needed to be organized and feel confident in setting out to live their everyday lives. When I learned of my own ADHD as a college student, it was communicated to me that the solution was psychiatric medications; however, I quickly realized medications did not help me learn how to manage day-to-day life outside of being able to focus on academic tasks. Even with medications for ADHD, I still struggled with time management, keeping my physical space organized, and forgetfulness. As I was learning how to manage my own chronic disorganization, I discovered tools and strategies that I believe everyone deserves to access in order to improve their quality of life.

I studied psychology and earned a Masters in Clinical Psychology with the goal of becoming a therapist to help people understand and manage chronic disorganization and mental health; however, after a short time in the clinical setting, I learned I preferred a more hands-on approach and entered the world of professional organizing. My educational background in clinical psychology gives me a unique perspective on the connection between mental health and organization. I understand the importance of a relational, individualized, and holistic approach to organizing and tailor the systems I implement to each client’s individual needs.

I am a Certified Professional Organizer through the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO), and working on my level I certification from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization, which means I am up to date on industry standards, constantly learning, and engaged with the organizing community to better serve my clients.
