About Nicholas Despotidis, OD, FAAO, FCOVD

Dr. Despotidis and his wife Teresa have two sons, Nicholas and Gregory. It was his children’s need for eyeglasses at very young ages that sparked his passion to investigate and address the growing number of children requiring eyeglasses. He is a pioneer in the use of corneal reshaping contact lenses, which are used to slow down or prevent deterioration in the eyesight of children and young adults. He’s the lead author of the book, “My Children Are Nearsighted Too.” (www.MyChildrenAreNearsightedToo.com) Dr. Despotidis graduated with honors from The State College of Optometry in New York and later completed a residency in Vision Therapy/Pediatric Vision. He has published papers in optometric journals and is a frequent lecturer. Among his many honors is the distinguished Barnes-Hind Award for Excellence in Contact Lens Fitting. Dr. Despotidis is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), Orthokeratology Academy of America (FOAA) and is a Board Certified Fellow in Vision Therapy (FCOVD) with the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

Jackson Tisdell (B. Pod, M. APodA, SMA, ASCA)

Jackson graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatry in 2017 and has been exclusively in the field of musculoskeletal and sports podiatry at Forster Tuncurry Sports Podiatry ever since. As a junior athlete he succumbed to numerous lower limb injuries, and uses his personal experiences to fuel his passion for injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Jackson has extensive experience working with junior and senior athletes at all stages of the injury process- from acute on field management, treatment in the clinic, and further into rehabilitation and improving sports performance.

Jackson is an advocate for a pro-active approach to injury, and aims to bridge the gap between the clinical setting and the return to sport/exercise. He believes that a thorough biomechanical assessment and individually tailored rehab program is the key to achieving the best results.

He is also passionate about raising awareness and the standard of podiatrists as the lower limb specialists, regularly taking on podiatry students and presenting at events/seminars, as well as being active on various social media platforms.

Janine Regan-Sinclair, known as ‘The Consciousness Architect’ is a Certified Therapist, Healer & International Speaker. She is an author of 4 books and 35 Self-help Audios. She will be sharing her pioneering insight into healing trauma on the level of mind, body and particularly Spirit; the aspect that she believes to be, the missing piece of the healing puzzle.

She will also be sharing information about the Cube of Consciousness and how it manifests our health and our reality. Janine has also successfully been removing disease programs from the DNA and will explain how this is possible during her interview. Singer, guitarist, writer, producer and leader of the band April Wine, Myles Goodwyn’s passion and drive shaped and directed the group from its earliest beginnings. He is the only remaining original member of the group since the inception of April Wine in 1969. Goodwyn grew up poor and is the classic “small-town kid makes good” success story. As a young teen, Goodwyn honed his skills, playing in bands such as East Gate Sanctuary and Woody’s Termites. From the very beginning, Goodwyn plotted the course of the band. His unique but classic rock voice gives April Wine a distinct and immediately recognizable sound. Ranging from hard rock classics to soulful ballads, his vocal range and style can really grab a hold of you. His songwriting skills are prolific.

He has penned virtually every April Wine song. He has a knack with words and seems to have an ability to write a catchy tune at will. Through the ups and downs and changing faces of the band, the one thing that has remained constant is Myles Goodwyn.
