1971-1977: Newspaper reporter/photojournalist at the New Haven (CT) Register, Danbury (CT) News-Times January and full-time freelance magazine writing and photography. During 1977 also worked as a licensed private investigator in Atlanta, Georgia.
1978-1981: Public Information Officer (media relations, press conferences, writing, photography, project management) with the Dade County (FL) Aviation Department (DCAD), operator of six South Florida airports including Miami International. Added instrument, commercial, flight instructor and multi-engine ratings to his private pilot certificate.
1981-2000: Launched a public relations and marketing consultancy in Wilmington, DE during 1981 initially focusing on aviation and aerospace and later technical, computer, software and information services business. Relocated to Princeton, NJ during 1984 performed management consulting, training and publishing. Contributing Editor for Dow Jones/News Retrieval Service member magazine.
1999: Authored Internet Business Intelligence, How to build a big company system on a small company budget published by CyberAge Press, copyright 2000.
2000-2015: David Vine Associates, LLC relocated to Aiken, SC focusing primarily on the “Internet For Investigators” training and publishing related reference materials on CD and DVD-ROMs. IFI open-enrollment and in-house programs have been conducted in 47 states and internationally via webinar for more than 10,000 professionals.
2010-Present: Launched Documentary Video Productions, LLC in Aiken, SC producing numerous short documentary videos. First feature-length documentary “My Mother Died Last Night” to premiere during early 2018.

1971: Attended School of Visual Arts, New York City
1972-Present: Continuous self-development via continuing education, college courses, professional seminars and workshops. Voracious consumer of non-fiction literature, primarily audio books, audio retrieved from Internet sources.
1990: Bachelors of Science in Business Administration degree from Thomas Edison State College, Trenton, NJ, received Fletcher Award for exceptional achievement.
1995: Masters Degree in Business Administration from Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ.
2010-Present: Documentary video production related courses at the Digital Media Academy held at UT Austin, Center for Documentary Studies, Duke University, Durham, NC and other related seminars and workshops.
