Dr. Yehoshua Yisrael

Introduction: welcome to Shema Yisrael Broadcast

  • Isaiah 11:11-12 “ It shall come to pass in that day that the LORD shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, He will set up a banner for the nations and will assemble the outcast of Israel and gather together the dispersed of Yehudah”.

  • We are witnessing the fulfilment of this prophesy. This is the redemption of the Children of Israel. We the outcast have been lost for four hundred years here in the wilderness of North America.

  • The daily recitation of the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4) corresponded to surrender to the ultimate purpose, as written, YHVH is our God, YHVH is One. This Proclamation transforms the transcendent god into the immanent experience of his oneness.

  • Ana B’koach Prayer is an eloquent appeal for redemption.

  • Recitation of the single double, triple quadruple song of redemption:” Na Nach Nachma Nachman M’Uman”

JEREMIAH 1: 9-10. Then Ha Shem put forth his hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me: Behold I have put my word in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over a nation and over a kingdom to: 1. Root- out, 2. Pull-down, 3. Destroy. 4. Throw- down. 5 Build. 6. Plant.

Part I

TISHA B AV

  • The Jewish holiday Tisha B’ Av commemorates the destruction of the temple in 586 BCE and 70 AD. on the 9th of Av. Interestingly the temples were destroyed in the same day.

  • However, more than a century earlier an even more horrific event occurred in 722 BCE when the ten tribes were loss during the Assyrian exile. (2 Kings 17:23).” So, Israel was carried away from their own land to Assyria, as it is to this day”.

  • Rabbi Sholomo Ben Levy in his historic paper: The Meaning of Tisha B’ Av to Us” asks if the loss of a building more is important than the loss of the Hebrew/Jewish people? Why didn’t the Kingdom of Juda do more than to help those who were fleeing from captivity?

  • During Tisha B’Av we remember all of the victims of Jewish exile and take responsibility for their descendants where ever they may be.

  • Each blow to the Jewish people sent refugees into the world to continue their wandering. We Israelites know what it means to loss our land, language, culture and history. Tisha B’Av is very important to us. It reminds us of bitter consequence of our prolonged exile.

  • Our commemoration recalls the suffering of our people in ancient Egypt, it embodies the persecution of our people Europe, it includes 2 thousand years of wandering.

  • It connects the slavery of Egypt with the trans -Atlantic slave. The pogroms of Russia (organize killing of an ethnic group) are bond through us to the state sponsored slaughters that occurred in Tulsa Oklahoma 1921, Chicago Illinois 1919, Willington North Carolina 1898, Rosewood Florida 1923, spring filed Illinois 1919.

  • The Warsaw Ghetto in Poland is inextricably bond in our soul with the ghettos of watts, Detroit, Newark, and Harlem.

  • Sacred place like Auschwitz, Treblinka and Buchenwald which is remembered for the suffering that our people endured there during the holocaust stand in our memory along with Goree Island Senegal, Elmina castle, Ghana.

  • Tisha B Av is not a faint memory, it an ongoing reality as the majority of Jews/ Hebrew who were lost in the exile over the centuries are still lost in the exile. We remember them, mourn for them, pray for them and work daily for the return for the entire scattered House of Israel.

PART II

THE UNFULFILLED MESSIANIC PROPHECIES

  1. The belief in the eventual coming of the Mashiach is a basic and fundamental part of traditional Judaism.

  2. Contrary to a popular misconception, the word “Mashiach” does not mean “savior”. The word Mashiach means “anointed”. The word typically refers to someone anointed with oil upon initiation into the service of God.

  3. The notion of a semi-divine being who will sacrifice himself to save us from the consequences of our own sin is foreign to an Israelite and therefore meaningless.

  4. The Mashiach will be a great spiritual, political, and military leader descended from King David. He will be charismatic leader inspiring others to follow his example. He will be a great judge, who makes righteous decisions (Jeremiah 33:15) But above all, he will be a human being, not a god, demi-god or supernatural being.

  1. The spirit of false hope shrouds, dopes, and misdirects the Children of Israel (Black-Americans) who are ignorant of their authentic identity. They think of themselves as African-American gentiles.

  2. Under this false assumption they have suffered four- hundred years. Having no collective, centralized or organized spirituality, they were taught Christianity which in my view is idolatrous as Number 23:19 teaches that god is not a man.

  3. The notion of a second coming implies the failure of the first and God does not fail. There is no scriptural basis in the Jewish Bible to supports the idea of a second coming.

  4. The Mashiach will not come until the following scriptures have been fulfilled:

  1. DEUTERONOMY 30: 3-6 that the lord your god will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the lord your god has scattered you. if any of you are driven out the farthest parts under heaven, from there the lord your god will gather you, and from there he will bring you. Then the lord your god will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. He will prosper you and multiple you more than your fathers, and the lord your god will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, to love the lord your god with all your heart and will all your soul, that you may LIVE.

  2. ZECHARIAH 14: 9: and the lord shall be king over all the earth in that day it shall be “the lord is one and his name is one”.

  3. ZECHARIAH 8:23. thus says the lord of host: in those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeves of a Yehudi saying, let us go with you for we have heard that god is with you.”

  4. ZEPHANIAH 3:9 for then I will restore to the people a pure language that they all may call on the name of the lord, to serve him in one accord.

  5. MICAH 4:1 now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountain and shall be exalted above the hills and people shall flow to it. many nations shall come say, “come and let us go up to the mountain of the lord to the house of the god of Jacob. for out of Zion shall go forth the word of the lord from Jerusalem.

  6. HOSEA 2-19-20: I will betroth you to me forever, yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness and justice in lovingkindness and mercy; I will betroth you to me in faithfulness and you shall know the lord.

  7. ISAIAH 60:15-18: whereas you have been forsaken and hated so that no one went through you, I will make you an eternal excellence, a joy of many generations you shall drink the milk of the gentiles and milk the breast of kings; you shall know that I, the lord am your savior and your redeemer the mighty one of Jacob.

  8. ISAIAH 2: 1-4 now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountain and it shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. many people shall come and say, come, and let us go up to the mountain of the lord to the house of the god of Jacob; he will teach us his ways and we shall walk in his paths. for out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the lord from Jerusalem. he shall judge between nations and rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks; nations shall not lift up sword against nations neither shall they learn war any more.

  9. ISAIAH 32:15-18 until the spirit is poured upon us from on high and the wilderness becomes a fruit field and the fruit field is counted as a forest. then justice will dwell in the wilderness and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. the work of righteousness will be peace and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. my people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings and in quite resting places.

  10. JEREMIAH 31:34 no more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, know the lord, for they all shall know me from the least of them to the greatest of them, say the lord. for I will forgive their iniquity and their sin I will remember no more.

  11. AMOS 9:13-14 behold the days are coming says the lord with it I will bring back the captives of my people Israel.

PART III

THE LAW OF TZITZIT

From Likutey Halakhot

ORACH

CHAIM PART

  • I encourage all Hebrews and Jews to wear Tzitzit, the practice of guarding your eyes and hearts against the Evil Inclination.

  • The LORD said to Moses. speak to the Israelites and instruct them to make for themselves fringes (Tzitzit) on the corner of their garments throughout their generations (Numbers: 15:37).

  • Ha- Shem gave the mitzvah of Tzitzit to foster in the children of Israel the recall of all the commandments of the LORD. An Israelite must observe all of the commandments and not follow the desires of the heart and eyes in lustful usage.

  • It is therefore, the will of the God that His chosen people (Israel) dawn a specific righteous attire inclusive of Tzitzit.

  • Rabbi Nachman of Breslov teaches that clothes are the lowest and outer most level of holiness. For this reason, the force of evil attach themselves to a person clothes. However, when the clothes are clean, they are an effective protection against evil. Consequently, we must care for and guard our clothing.

  • Tzitzit are protection for the clothing, so the forces of evil do not attaché themselves, Likutey Halakhot, Orach Chaim I Part I.

  • Tzitzit represents a general rectification, as the corners of Tzitzit correspond to the wings of the eagles as is found in Exodus 19:4, "I carried you on the wings of an eagle”.

  • Tzitzit corresponds guarding the covenant "you shall be holy to your God" Numbers 15:40. Therefore, Jews/Hebrews wrap themselves in Tzitzit for prayer as Tzitzit constitutes the entire Torah! It is written, "so that you remember and fulfill all of my Commandments" Numbers 15:40.

  • The only way that we can keep all the 613 commandments is by holding onto the throne of glory, and Tzitzit is the means by which we are connected to the throne of glory.

  • Tzitzit elevates the soul from exile and rectifies judgement by elevating the soul to a category called,” beyond- place”.

  • All human actions are done in time and place, which is the sphere of influence of the force of evil. God who is beyond place and time where everything is good, and evil has no power, and all things are ameliorated.

  • Tzitzit corresponds to the rebuke to fulfill God’s commandments and not stray after the passions of his heart and eyes.

  • The strands of Tzitzit correspond to lovingkindness through which sins are forgiven and transformed into merits. There are 32 X 2 = 64 strands and by adding the eight strands of each corner we reach the numerical value of 72 which is the number of Chesed or Kindness.

  • Consequently, the sacredness of the stand of tzitzit are drawn from the Light of the Threads of Lovingkindness which is braided and woven from 72 strings. Tzitzit protect from the forces of evil, and rectify the fantasies of the heart, as it is written in Number 15:39 “You shall see it and not stray after your heart.

  • Moreover, Tzitzit constitute the entire Torah “So that you remember and fulfill all of my commandments. Tzitzit therefore. constitute rabbinical garment, corresponding to the Divine Garments, corresponding to the Throne of Glory.

  • Devotion to Ha Shem begins immediately upon rising we fulfill the Mitzvah of tzitzit, the means by which we hold on to the Glory throne and derive power to serve Ha Shem and are able to have dominion of the evil inclination. Tzitzit promotes healing, for through tzitzit one attains prayer which corresponds to the word of God, and through the word of God healing from heaven through all things in the worlds, “He will bless your bread and I will remove illness Exodus 23:25.

  • Tzitzit are equivalent to a little that holds a lot which elevates a person from the place in the world to the category of the throne of Glory, a place where everything is ameliorated with compassion Exodus 19:4 “ You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles wings and brought you to myself”. This is in reference to Tzitzit, which therefore gathers in the exile from the four corners of the world from all of the place to which we were scattered.

  • Isaiah 11:12. Each individual was exiled to a specific place by virtue of his “place. “Do not judge another until you have reached his place”. God will beseech Him from whatever place he is in, binding and elevating that place where he is to beyond place, to the place of the world to come”

  • . Zachariah 8:23 “ten men from all the nations of the world will grab hold of the garment corner of a Jewish man (Tzitzit) and say Let us come with you”. Tzitzit correspond to an angel an in Psalms 34:7 “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear him and sav

SHEMA YISRAEL is a broadcast conceived to awaken, call, and gather the lost Sheep of the House of Israel to their rightful place around the throne of God. The word Shema in the Hebrew language means to “hear”. The word Shema is taken from the Torah the book of Deuteronomy, chapter six, verse four (6:4.). The Almighty God informs Moses that He is the One and only absolute, unique, indivisible sovereignty to whom Israel must subordinate every aspect of their personalities. He commands his chosen Nation to hear this most important commandment, “Hear O Israel Ha Shem is our God, Ha Shem is the One and only”. During the North Atlantic slave trade, a significant number of Hebrew Israelites were included in the millions of slaves that were taken from Africa. This Broadcast is conceived to awaken, call, and resurrect the lost sheep of the Children of Israel, lost in the North American exile.
