Caught A Ghost is a California-soul project from Los Angeles singer, producer, and two-time BMI Award winner Jesse Nolan.

Blending vintage Motown and Stax influences with modern production, the band’s sound bridges classic soul and contemporary groove.

Their debut album Human Nature sparked a wave of success, earning over 100 sync placements in shows like Bosch, The Blacklist, Suits, You, Grey’s Anatomy and more, leading to national tours across the U.S.

During the pandemic Nolan co-founded a virtual-concert company that attracted major investment and artist partnerships, and he now leads a new creative studio called velvetLAB producing music and content for film, TV, and brands.

In 2025, Caught A Ghost returns with a new EP called California Soul, blending the lush, cinematic spirit of 1970s soul and psychedelic rock energy of the Laurel Canyon scene. The record nods to the timeless storytelling of Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield while channeling the free-flowing harmonies and textures of California icons like and Crosby, Stills & Nash.

Rick Cowling is the co-owner, sound engineer and music supervisor for TOtLEntertainment.com. Rick is also the music and AV director for Unity of the Oaks, in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Aside from being an extremely accomplished musician, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, writer and producer, Rick has been the guitarist for Kenny Loggins, as well as, touring for five years as the lead singer and keyboard player for Ambrosia. You may even recognize him as the singing pharmacist on Modern Family.

As a songwriter and music producer for Capitol records, Sony Playstation, numerous commercials and TV shows such as The Bachelorette, Beverly Hills, 90210 and Teachers on ABC, Rick has created an extensive library of original music and sound design. Rick has also produced music and DVD projects with many major artists including Bonnie Raitt, Gladys Knight, Laura Brannigan, Melissa Manchester, and Bobby Womack.  

Rick works along side his wife, Rev. Sherry Hursey, as the music director for Unity of the Oaks. Rick and Sherry’s heart project “Lilly’s Light The Movie”, is currently streaming on multiple platforms worldwide.
