Artists at Work with Heidi Bacon
To those around them, creative people are a mystery - where do their ideas come from? What inspires them? When are they "ready" to transfer their dreams into reality? Join us weekly on the "Artists at Work" show as we visit artists, musicians and creatives ranging from the novice beginner to the world renown, located all across the United States, Canada and the world. We will visit artists in their studios to delve into what inspires them, their advice and suggestions for other artists, what does and doesn't work for them, what music they play while creating and take a virtual tour of where they create.

I'm an artist focusing on Realism using oils, acrylics, watercolors, pen & ink. I am also experienced painting murals, faux finishes, and magazine/children's book illustration. My experience being an art gallery owner/artist co-operative, representing approximately 50 artists from all over the United States as well as international artists taught me that networking and marketing can lead to lifelong business connections and friendships.
"Daydreamer" is a children's book I have written and illustrated - soon to be released. A novel that I wrote intending for film is "Ratliner" - an adventure in fiction based on stolen Nazi treasure - in "editing stage".
Bacon Films is a family owned full service independent film production company where I write, produce, direct while my son, Luke Bacon, films & edits, and all other necessary functions are provided by my other children, Daniel Bacon & Laura Bacon.
I was honored to be chosen to participate of the 2006 Sundance Producer's conference and have been a member of the Independent Filmmaker's Coalition and Women in Film.
Bacon Film creates highly rated music videos, documentaries, features and short films focusing on social issues. We are currently in pre-production for a documentary about being homeless in Hawaii
