Hi, my name is Leah Salmorin! I am a Breast Cancer Survivor and a diabetic coma survivor. I have also survived COVID-19. I am the president and founder of Paddle for the Cure NYC, a breast cancer support nonprofit and an official dragonboat team of NYC Health + Hospitals Elmhurst. I would like to talk about my story as a survivor and my organization. We would really appreciate the exposure as we are in need of donations to help us support our friends at The Hope Pavilion Cancer Clinic and to also sustain our backend employees.
Hi, my name is Leah Salmorin, a proud breast cancer survivor, and I'm the Founder/President of Paddle for the Cure NYC! In my many years, I've had a close brush with the end many times but I kept going and survived all the obstacles thrown my way. I survived a diabetic coma, breast cancer, two car accidents, and COVID. In all those challnges, I've come to learn some very valuable lessons which helped me start Paddle for the Cure and become a beacon of hope for others. She is a Breast Cancer survivor and a leader who firmly believes that Water Is Life. She started Paddle for the Cure with a mission to make post-treatment recovery easy and to promote her passion for positive and healthy lifestyle for survivors like herself with her vision to end breast cancer through activities in the water!
