Today I heard a talk by a young man who related getting out of $60,000 debt. By making different choices than his peers, he was able to accumulated a healthy savings allowing him the freedom to do what he loved for a living.

He said, "If you don't manage your money and your possessions, your money and your possessions manage you."

It's a pretty common problem in the world today. We get so caught up in accumulating bright, shiny objects that our livestyle ends up owning us.

I woke up last night to my husband worrying about the 700 people who died in the Middle East and a fatal accident in Seattle. I immediately jumped to the solution, which wasn't helpful.

September in the Pacific Northwest means the clouds roll in and don't leave until July. That's not entirely true with global warming/climate change, but we still have more than our fair share of gloomy days.  Seattleites don't tan, they rust.

It's hard *not* to be seasonally affected living here. The one thing I really appreciated when I was back East caring for my mom, was the brilliant sunshine in December. No lack of Vitamin D there!

Time to "Bend the Knee" of Obedience

Who thinks the REAL PURPOSE of the  Pope's visit was to Bless and Pray for America?  WRONG!

DID YOU KNOW the Pope...came in his OWN NAME, did NOT OPEN his UN Address with a Prayer, and did NOT CLOSE his Address with a Prayer!  Huh? What is up with that?

September is normally a time of transition. People come back from their holidays and resume work or school.  It's interesting to notice we created the academic year to begin in September, as it aligns to the rhythm of Nature.

The Equinox begins a new cycle of growth for the planet.  In the Northern Hemisphere, the Autumnal Equinox is actually Nature's New Year.  The Summer Soltice is the culmination of it's growing season; when harvesting is done the new annual cycle begins.

Hello All,

There are so many things I could write about! Celebrating my 61st birthday on Friday between Wednesday’s equinox and last night’s eclipse really made it a once in a lifetime event. One that is rippling along in celebration. Did I mention the celebration inside? I know many who don’t too excited about their birthday. And they have reasons for that feeling. Me, I can’t say mine were all that great either but one thing that has been building over the last ten years is a welcoming of not aging, but of wisdom and joy and the fact that I am still alive.

Wool Gets in Your Eyes

Americans:

This has been quite a week for America!  Once again, the Regime effortlessly pulled the wool over Congress. The Regime actually got Congress to believe that they could be trusted to come up with an Agreement that would be fair to Iran and to America. Worse, our House and Senate leaders didn't fight their way through the wool to reveal the TRUTH.  They went along for the ride...again.
