Raising Expectations with Pastor Joe Schofield, Dr. Paul Hall, Stefanie Thayer, Dr. Craig Thayer, Pastor Ron Greer
Guest, Dr Sheila Schuller Coleman - Empowering the Next Generation and the Legacy of Faith
Dear Friends,
We are looking forward to having our friend Dr. Sheila Schuller Coleman back with us this week to, in her own words “share my current Divine assignment!” We will see how this call of God has produced a deep understanding and revealing of special resources on how we can help strengthen and grow the children in these dangerous days! You will not only hear her words but will also feel her heart and insights as you watch, listen and join us!
In this episode of Raising Expectations, host Joe Schofield welcomes Dr. Sheila Coleman to discuss her transition from a legacy of ministry to a personal, divine mandate. The conversation centers on the "Heart of a Warrior" movement, an initiative dedicated to protecting children globally through prayer, reclaiming their identity in Christ, and providing tangible support to vulnerable communities.
The Legacy of Faith and the Power of Divine Choice
Dr. Sheila Coleman reflects on the humble beginnings of her father, the late pastor of the Crystal Cathedral, who rose from a poor farm in Iowa to reach 20 million people weekly. She emphasizes that God’s choice of her father—and His choice of every individual—is not based on education or platform, but on a "divine destiny" tailored for "such a time as this." This legacy serves as a foundation for her belief that no one should place limitations on what God can achieve through them, regardless of their age or perceived lack of influence.
The "Heart of a Warrior" Mandate
In June 2022, Dr. Coleman received what she describes as a "chicken vision," where the Lord assigned her to protect the "bride" (the church) under one wing and the "children of the world" under the other. This led to the rapid writing of The Heart of a Warrior: Delivering the Children of the World for Christ. The book addresses specific "attacks" on the next generation, including the alarming tripling of suicide rates among young teens and the loss of safety in schools and the womb. Her ministry now focuses on "covering" these children through a dedicated "Pentagon" of prayer warriors.
Global Outreach and Tangible Miracles
The ministry extends beyond prayer into practical action, such as the "Sheep Ministry" in Kenya. After being prompted by God to provide livestock to a poor village, Dr. Coleman partnered with Storm Shelter Ministries to provide sheep (costing $50 each) to widows and orphans, allowing them to become self-sufficient. Domestically, she shares the "miracle" of her own family—spontaneous triplets born healthy at 35 weeks despite medical risks—as a testament to God’s faithfulness and the power of declaring life over the unborn.
Reclaiming Identity and Biblical Wisdom
A core theme of Dr. Coleman’s recent work is the restoration of identity. Through her handbook, Claiming the Identity of Christ’s Children, she encourages parents and grandparents to speak blessings over children, teaching them to declare, "I am the beloved child of the Most High God." Furthermore, she addresses the current educational crisis and the rise of antisemitism on campuses, arguing that the world is suffering from a lack of "wisdom"—the application of knowledge through a godly lens.
The episode concludes with a powerful reminder that "greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world." Dr. Sheila Coleman’s journey emphasizes that the most significant work often begins with a simple "yes" to a divine assignment, leading to a global impact that protects the most vulnerable and restores the identity of the next generation.

[00:00] Speaker 1: (dramatic music plays) Everyone faces questions and decisions that require insight and answers as we move forward personally, professionally, and corporately in all areas of this thing we call life in America today. Hello, this is Joe Schofield and I invite you to tune in every Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 PM as we talk together and hear from key leaders of all ages and backgrounds about your questions. Interesting, informative, intuitive, but always encouraging. Tune us in on BBS Radio Network. Join Pastor Joe and co-hosts Ron Greer, Dr. Paul Hall, Stephanie Thayer, and Dr. Craig Thayer in Raising Expectations. (dramatic music plays) Hey, good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to this week's program, Raising Expectations. It's your show, and it's exciting to see how God raises your expectations each and every day of each and every week. And, uh, we never take for granted. We tell you every week, you're a part of our family.
[01:43] Speaker 1: Whatever state you're in, wherever you are in the world, we're thankful that you're with us tonight. And we count it a blessing. Everybody on our staff, as you know, is, uh, a born again believer. We believe Jesus Christ is the son of God. We believe He came to earth to die on the cross to pay the price for our sins. And we say quite often this way for two reasons. Number one, people ask, "Why is that important?" Because, uh, we live our life on this earth and we can live it trying to figure it out or we can live it with the answers, and those answers were paid for at Calvary. When Christ paid for our sins, it means the child of the King and God walks with us each day. So we're excited to see what He has in store for us, and we get excited to hear what He's doing in your lives each and every week. And that makes us excited to share a guest with you again tonight back with us by request, uh, is Dr. Sheila Coleman. And she's got some great things to share with her.
[02:35] Speaker 1: It was such a, a thrill to hear about her dad again at the Crystal Cathedral when he was the pastor there and she pastored and worked with him also with the family. So many great stories of what happened there down in Southern California and, uh, all around the world-
[02:48] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[02:48] Speaker 1: ... when he worked there. So tonight, uh, again, our, our team has put together, we're missing Ron tonight. Pastor Ron is, is, uh, away, had to be out of town tonight, so he won't be with us. But we do have on the West Coast, we have Dr. Paul Hall down in Lomp- Lompoc, just a little bit north of Santa Barbara. And, uh, Dr. Hall, as you know, right there. How are you doing, Paul? (laughs)
[03:08] Speaker 3: Good. Thanks, Joe. Good to see you.
[03:10] Speaker 1: All right. And, uh, it's great to see him. Um, he's here and he's also, you see him looking down sometimes. Yes, he's a prayer warrior, but he also is the scribe for the show. And he writes down the key texts and words that our guests share and, uh, putting them together in a special volume that'll come out. Probably gonna call it Five Years of Raising Expectations. So we're excited to see how that comes together. And his notes, well, (laughs) we were in school together and his notes are outstanding. So you'll enjoy hearing what all of our guests had to say. So Paul's there on the West Coast. He's a p- retired pastor. He's a professor. He's a teacher. He's a, uh, very great man of God and loved by everybody who knows him. Very much so by us. So, uh, Paul, we'll go back to the East Coast, the south side of the East Coast. And right there we find, um, Dr. Craig and Stephanie Thayer, and they live there in Dalton, Georgia.
[04:02] Speaker 1: And they're in one of those exciting s- thunderstorms you find in the Southeast. Uh, it's, uh, real exciting having lived there once. It's really fun. It's a beautiful thing to behold. But, uh, they're with us tonight. And Stephanie, there on the left, is a wonderful godly woman. She's a businesswoman. She's a health specialist. She is someone who is a great help with, uh, on her website. And in fact, I'll invite you to look at her website at bbsradio.com/raisingexpectations.
[04:31] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[04:31] Speaker 1: Bbsradio.com/raisingexpectations. And there you'll find our guests tonight. You'll also find all of the, the people on the staff here, our team. And you can read about them and you can, can see some of the things. We'll share a little later with you. But, uh, give you a chance to see what it is, who they are, and about their life, and get in touch with them. Let them know that, uh, you enjoy what they share with you. You'll also find our books. There's my book, Legitimate Faith: Producing Authentic Hope. And you'll find another book that you're going to see by the next, uh, gentleman right here, and that's Dr. Tank Thayer. Craig Thayer, technically. Tank, personally. Great man of God.
[05:08] Speaker 2: (laughs)
[05:08] Speaker 1: Great brother in Christ. And, uh-
[05:10] Speaker 2: Thank you.
[05:10] Speaker 1: ... he is a surgeon. Uh, he is a surgeon and they've... He's helped people in so many different states. And, of course, in, on mission work. He and Steph have gone together to the Caribbean. He's helped people in Africa. Uh, they've done a lot of things. They are one of those special godly couples that you just get to know them and they bless your life. They're so much fun to be around. And, you know, it's fun to be around people who love the Lord because there's such an assurance and a joy that comes from within. It's great to be able to live your life without all the answers, but with all the joy. And that's what comes right there. And, um, it's good to see you, Tank and Steph. You're looking good there on the, on the, (laughs) on the south side of the East Coast. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Y- y- T- Tank is a great man of God. But all the work was done by the lady on his right, probably. Right, Steph? How am I doing?
[05:56] Speaker 2: (laughs)
[05:56] Speaker 1: (laughs) So, that's it. So anyway. So long as this phone doesn't quit. That's it for tonight.
[06:01] Speaker 3: We're giving brownie points, Joe. Yes. (laughs)
[06:04] Speaker 1: (laughs) Yeah. Yeah, keep it going. All right. (laughs) So, anyway, so we're all here tonight. Uh, Ron is, uh, like I said, he's gonna miss Ron tonight. He won't be with us, but, uh, we will be back. And so, uh, he'll be back next week or, or the week, um, um, we're gonna see. Now, I want to share something else with you. I- in churches, when you're a pastor, when you preach, quite often, you ask them to raise their hands, and my phrase at this moment is, "Yes, I see that hand," because (laughs) the lady on my right right here, which is new for me, this is my wife, and she is so special. And (laughs) I tell you what, I went all the way back to Texas to get her and bring her here to the West Coast. And so, Melba is here, and you can see behind her on the wall, that's a big M to remind me to do this, because when we do the show here, there it is. And even with the M, I forget, babe, sorry.
[06:51] Speaker 1: (laughs)
[06:51] Speaker 3: It's okay.
[06:51] Speaker 1: That's okay, huh? (laughs)
[06:53] Speaker 3: I'll, I'll let you know.
[06:54] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[06:54] Speaker 3: (laughs)
[06:54] Speaker 1: (laughs) Yeah, let me know. So Melba is a graduate, we went to the same university, all of us. Paul and, and myself and, uh, and Melba, and Melba is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and, um, specializing in children's work and, and kids and things that, uh, have to do with raising and building teams and families. So she's real excited about tonight because as we move along together, huh, this is gonna be really something. We have, as, as some of you have alluded to, and, uh, yes, I misspelled the word divine on one of the things I sent out this week just to see if you're paying attention. Paul, remember we used to use that excuse a lot, no? Yeah. (laughs) They, they were always paying attention too, 'cause they gotta... In any event, uh, sometimes you, you type faster than you think. But any event, you're gonna find tonight that she's going to share with us...
[07:42] Speaker 1: And the thing I love about last week when she was with us, uh, you not only hear her words and the stories that she shares, but you also feel her heart, and the insights come to life because of that. And they start to change your life as you listen and, and the Holy Spirit places them in your life. She's gonna share, and she's got some great books. You'll see about those later. The Heart of a Warrior: Delivering the Children of the World for Christ. What about that second one?
[08:09] Speaker 3: Oh, I like the second one. The Living Tree.
[08:11] Speaker 1: The Living Tree was one of Melba's favorites there, and then Claiming the Identity of Christ's Children: A Handbook for Families. And, um, there's The Living Tree. Sorry, TJ. And then I'm on a, out of line there. The first one was Delivering. And then Unearthing the Lost Treasure Wisdom. Boy, if there's anything we're missing in the nation today, in the world, it's wisdom. Not knowledge. A lot of people have knowledge. Wisdom's what you do with the knowledge that you have. And, uh, this is gonna be an exciting book also. So, not taking any more time, let's move right along down to Southern California, and we want to give the right, uh, the round of applause to do Dr. Stephanie Coleman.
[08:52] Speaker 1: Stephanie it's wonderful-
[08:53] Speaker 3: Thank you.
[08:53] Speaker 1: ... to have you with us. She didn't like me. I'm looking at ... (laughs)
[08:56] Speaker 3: (laughs)
[08:57] Speaker 1: ... at Stephanie. Yeah. She don't-
[08:58] Speaker 3: Thank you.
[08:58] Speaker 1: If you had to pick somebody, you'd be like, "Stephanie's really good, but she didn't work here."
[09:01] Speaker 3: Oh, I just, I just feel right at home with all you guys. It's fine. (laughs)
[09:04] Speaker 1: Yeah, you called me Fred twice. It's been a long day.
[09:07] Speaker 3: (laughs)
[09:07] Speaker 1: (laughs) But thanks for being with us. We can't wait to, to hear your heart again. Yeah. Take us away.
[09:13] Speaker 3: Well, last week, I began by telling the story of my father, uh, when he, you know, who God chose, right?
[09:21] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[09:21] Speaker 3: This little... And I'm gonna start tonight the same way. Um, sometimes in teaching, you need to make the connections, and that's the way I wanna do it because it began, it begins with who did God choose? This little boy who lived in a dirt, poor farm at the end of a dirt road, dead-end dirt road, in an obscure town called Alton, Iowa. And that's-
[09:45] Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
[09:45] Speaker 3: ... all he was. Uh, he, uh, uh, who in the world you would... He'd be the last person you would think that any... that God would choose to... and that he would raise up and, to a man who reached tw- at the, at zenith 20 million people a week on TV. That's when there was-
[10:01] Speaker 1: Wow.
[10:01] Speaker 3: ... only TV internationally, as well as the first religious show, uh, service ever on ch- on the state channel one in Russia, under, with the, um, help of Mikhail Gorbachev.
[10:17] Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
[10:17] Speaker 3: You know, a pastor to, to many, many, m- most of the presidents that were living at his time, as well as world leaders and other ministry leaders. You know, he was a pastor to pastors as well. And I always took him for granted. But I, what I wanted to say to the people that... Because too often we think, "Oh, God can't use me that way." (laughs)
[10:47] Speaker 1: (laughs)
[10:48] Speaker 3: "God can't do that much with me, you know, because I'm not educated enough or I'm too old or I don't have people of influence, I'd have no platform." All those different things, those limitations we put on God. And yet, and, and I'll tell you, I felt that way most of my life. I thought, "Oh, that was for Dad."
[11:12] Speaker 1: No.
[11:12] Speaker 3: "That's Dad's story." But, you know, mine is not... You know, uh, God doesn't have... He hasn't chosen to use me like he choose, chose to use Dad. And I, I just think that... And God has shown, is showing me that that's not true, is really, truly not true. He has a special and beautiful, amazing, amazing divine destiny for each and every one of His children.
[11:42] Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
[11:42] Speaker 3: And He has chosen, and I'm gonna s- ex- to whoever is listening, I mean, He has chosen you-
[11:48] Speaker 1: Yes.
[11:48] Speaker 3: ... for an important role, an important purpose for such a time as this. And, uh, and it was only in just... It was actually, you know, here I was, uh, a mother, and I helped my dad write his books and, um, and I, I would remind those, if you didn't hear it last week, my dad asked me to help him write-His first book, that was the first ti- uh, bestseller, Tough Times Never Last, But Tough People Do, and I was balancing two little babies in my arms in 30 days' notice, and we did, and it was number one in the, for a year. Well, and then Be Happy Attitudes Follow, that, that was number one. Well, that meant that I was on the, um, fast track call from the presidents of the two top Christian publishers at the time, Sam Moore and Thomas Nelson and Ernie Owens at Word Publishing. I'd get calls from them, "Sheila, we need a book." (laughs) "We need a book from, uh, with yo- from your dad." Dad's, and they were always Dad's messages.
[12:44] Speaker 3: I just put them together-
[12:46] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
[12:46] Speaker 3: ... so that you could actually read. Uh, you know, you can't just have a few messages so, um, that peop- someone's given. That has to b- be an actual manuscript that's publishable. And I always was able to make a deadline, so I was the one they called. And, um-
[13:02] Speaker 4: Awesome.
[13:02] Speaker 3: ... so I would get a deadline and a topic or a title, and I just did it for Dad. That became ... And then later, um, I bec- I was in education, and when I was working on my doctorate, the professors would give the same thing. They'd give me a writing assignment like the publishers. I'd get a topic and a deadline, and I would always meet, meet it. The thing that we, that's interesting, and I don't know if your audience is aware of this or not, but you know, they, everybody's been assigned a paper, right?
[13:34] Speaker 3: (laughs)
[13:35] Speaker 4: Yeah. (laughs)
[13:35] Speaker 3: Everybody, those teachers love assigning papers, and I'll tell you, and did y- do you know anything about the topic when the, when you're given the assignment?
[13:42] Speaker 4: (laughs)
[13:42] Speaker 3: Not necessarily. And, um, I, I used to always think these people who wrote books, they knew all about it and then they wrote the book. And I don't know that that's the way that works. (laughs)
[13:53] Speaker 4: Not very. (laughs)
[13:54] Speaker 3: And so, and, and I'm gonna get to that in a little bit, because it was June 13, 2022, so just not even four years ago. I was a pastor. I had my own little church. I'd had all these years in education as an administrator, had my doctorate in education, and I loved schools, and I loved children. I had four sons of my own. They were all grown. I was now a grandma, and I was just like, oh, life couldn't be easier. (laughs) I loved to cook and bake and do my sourdough and play with my grandbabies, go to the park, and my church is small and just e- and they, uh, they're the easiest church to be a pastor for.
[14:44] Speaker 3: They're just- (laughs)
[14:45] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[14:45] Speaker 3: ... a blessing. And, um, and then the Lord spoke to me that morning, and it came so out of the blue. He said, "Sheila, my, I, my bride, the church is not ready for my return."
[15:03] Speaker 4: Hmm.
[15:04] Speaker 3: "I need you to get her ready for my return. I want you to cover her." And I was filled with fear and trembling, and I thought, what? Not me.
[15:15] Speaker 4: (laughs)
[15:15] Speaker 3: My, my dad's the one who had the big church. Mine was t- is teeny tiny. (laughs)
[15:21] Speaker 4: Yeah. (laughs)
[15:22] Speaker 3: And it's nothing like compares to Dad's in terms of scope and reach. And, um, and, but He said, "No. This is who I've-" And, and I go back to who does God choose, right?
[15:34] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
[15:35] Speaker 3: He chose a mom, he chose a grandma who thought that her, she was on, you know, retirement. (laughs) And, and he, and, but I knew it was an assignment from the Lord. And then he said, "You know, I'm only, I'm only, um, half done with this word, Sheila, because I've tucked the church under your right wing, but you have two wings." (laughs)
[15:59] Speaker 4: (laughs)
[15:59] Speaker 3: And he sai- I call it my chicken vision. (laughs)
[16:01] Speaker 4: (laughs)
[16:02] Speaker 3: And, uh, and he said, "'Cause I put all the children of the world under your other wing."
[16:09] Speaker 4: Hmm.
[16:09] Speaker 3: And I was like, wow. And I, again, filled with fear and trembling. It was one of the most impactful moments of my life, and it was truly life-changing. And then he, it was kind of like just as an aside, he said, "I want you to write a book." (laughs) And here he was just ... "I want you to write a book. The title is de- uh, The Heart of a Warrior, Delivering the Children of the World for Christ, and it needs to be disseminated in three months' time." And I was like, "Oh, okay."
[16:42] Speaker 4: (laughs)
[16:43] Speaker 3: (laughs) And I always laugh when I r- it took me a long time to realize, oh, God gave me a writing assignment no different than my publ- than the publishers did and my professors did, and I'm so used to a writing assignment, it was no big deal. But I was, except that I thought, I'm not sure I like that title. Are you sure? (laughs)
[17:00] Speaker 4: (laughs)
[17:00] Speaker 3: But okay. So, it, but it was so impactful, 'cause I went to my MacBook and I sat down and I was, and I prayed and I said, "Okay, Lord. What's going on with the children of the world?" And that was almost four years ago. And he began to speak to me and he began to reveal to me in many different ways, through newspaper, you know, through, uh, headlines and other ways. And because I had my, uh, doctorate, I began to look at the statistics on everything, all of the different attacks on the children of the world.
[17:40] Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
[17:41] Speaker 3: And what was interesting was the statistics were u- were uniform from, um, country to country, which is so unusual. Usually, when we are in education, we would look up, like, statistics on reading, and we would look up wha- what are they teaching a, um, how are they teaching, what are the stats on reading comprehension, say, in, in the UK?Or, and we would compare, we'd do comparative. We'd compare the, the stats from, um, country to country, just so we can learn from each other. And this... And usually there's a huge disparity, but this was not the case with the ones... when the Lord said, "These are attacks against the children." The statistics were so close and so uniform. It was... It really got my attention. But more than that, it was literally heartbreaking. Uh, and it was when I got to the one about suicide, the, the rate of suicide of children ages 13 and 14 tripling. Um, that one just... I mean, I, I closed up the MacBook and had a good cry. And I said, "Lord, okay. I...
[18:52] Speaker 3: You got my attention for sure, but are you sure this is..." And it was delivering. Delivering? What does that mean? Are you talking about deliverance? I don't know anything about deliverance. You should have assigned this book to Benny Hinn. I don't know how many times I told him that while I was writing this book. And then I said, "I used to have a, I used to have an, an international platform." But I didn't anymore. And I said, "Of the world. Are you kidding me?" I kept wanting to take that out as I was writing the book. But I told the Lord, I said, "But I give you permission to feel your heart." And, and people said, "Oh, that's a really dangerous prayer to pray." And I said, "Well, it's not the first time I prayed it." I knew what I was doing, but I felt, how in the world can I be doing this for the Lord and not feel His heart for His children, you know? And so what happened was (laughs) that we wrote pr-...
[19:55] Speaker 3: So I have two ladies in my church, and as I wrote the book, the Lord really just... It was such... It's a good, good book, but, uh, He gets all the credit. Chapter one is Are You A Sitting Duck Or A Mother Hen? (laughs)
[20:12] Speaker 5: (laughs)
[20:12] Speaker 3: And too many of us are sitting ducks. Too many churches are sitting ducks. Too many parents and grandparents are sitting ducks. We're not covering our children, our churches, our pastors with prayer.
[20:26] Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
[20:27] Speaker 3: Protecting them with prayer.
[20:29] Speaker 5: Right.
[20:30] Speaker 3: And, and so I realized that. You know, as I was writing this book, the Lord was teaching me and guiding me. And, um, and then, you know, the last chapter was, uh, if... And I think I talked about this last week. If little, if, if little faith can move mountains, what can limitless faith do? What can limitless faith do? And so I wrote the book. Then there's... The end of it is a prayer guide. We took, again, all the statistics, and we wrote a prayer for each and every one of the attacks. And that's really what it is, is the enemy's been attacking the children. You know, even I, you know, we didn't grow... Dad used to say, "Oh, the enemy is finite. You know, what's he gonna do? He's gonna come after me.
[21:18] Speaker 3: I'm just this little pastor, you know?" (laughs) It was in-
[21:20] Speaker 5: Hmm.
[21:21] Speaker 3: But that was in the early days. And then, you know... But there comes a time when, you know, the enemy did come after us very, very significantly, and that, you can, everybody can find that out in, in news and, and all of that. But the Lord... What I learned by going through it was that God is faithful. My God is faithful.
[21:45] Speaker 5: Hmm. Amen.
[21:46] Speaker 3: And, uh, it was my honor to get to walk with my parents when we lost the cathedral, um, and all of that. And so it was... That was my role. I was actually the CEO and the president of the ministries, Crystal Cathedral Ministries International, lead pastor of the church when we had to file for bankruptcy. And I'll never forget the day that my staff came to me and they said, "Sheila, we have this gr-" And my dad was over 80 at the time. And they said, "We have a press corps out there for a press conference.
[22:26] Speaker 3: You need to go out and, and address them on the bankruptcy."
[22:30] Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
[22:31] Speaker 3: And I... (laughs) I had my face in the carpet going, "No, no, no." (laughs) And I even said, "Lord, if it's possible, will you take this cup..." And I didn't even get... That's as far as I got. And he interrupted me and he said, "Sheila, of all people, you know how expensive airtime is." He said, "I've given you a s- golden opportunity to ou- go out and give a word of hope. So many are going through such a hard..." 'Cause it was right at the beginning, that terrible recession.
[23:11] Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
[23:11] Speaker 3: And he said, "Go." He said, "They'll under... If you, they hear it from you, that you, you have hope through all of this, how to get through it." (laughs)
[23:21] Speaker 5: Hmm.
[23:21] Speaker 3: "With my help and my strength." And he said, "You can..." He said, "You can bring a message of hope to my children. I trust in you to go do that." And I was like, "Oh, okay. All right. Now I know what to do."
[23:35] Speaker 5: Hmm.
[23:35] Speaker 3: So off I went, and that was it. And so, um, you know, that's... So I lived through all of that. I saw how faithful my God was, and then here I was... Like I said, we wrote this book, we wrote these, these, these prayers for the children, but when we s- when I saw the attack of the enemy.
[23:58] Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
[23:59] Speaker 3: And, you know... So like the first ones were... That the Lord showed me were places that are supposed to be safe for children. Schools and wombs, right?
[24:08] Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
[24:10] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[24:10] Speaker 3: And they were not.
[24:12] Speaker 7: Yeah.
[24:12] Speaker 3: Babies weren't safe anymore in wombs, and children weren't-
[24:15] Speaker 7: Yes.
[24:15] Speaker 3: ... safe anymore in schools.
[24:16] Speaker 7: Yes, yeah. Mm-hmm.
[24:18] Speaker 3: Right?
[24:19] Speaker 7: That's wonderful.
[24:19] Speaker 3: I know this is sober compared (laughs) to maybe others, but at the same time, uh, don't worry. (laughs)
[24:25] Speaker 7: (laughs)
[24:25] Speaker 6: (laughs)
[24:25] Speaker 3: This is the- this is all about victory, but it's a, it is a story of what God can do and is doing, and it's really tru- I'm truly, really excited because whereas we went through all, and then orphans and the hungry, and then it was... So we wrote them. There's thir- there's, like, 14 or 15 different prayers, 14 or 15 different attacks. And my church, I thought it was just gonna be me lead- writing this book, but my church just said, "Oh, Sheila, we wanna be part of this. We're go- we're your team. We wanna be called the pentagon for the, you know, (laughs) the Heart of a Warrior movement, delivering the children of the world for Christ." And so, they all began to pray and pray and pray these prayers, as, uh, the, the church became a, a prayer warrior headquarters.
[25:19] Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
[25:19] Speaker 3: And it was really cool to see them grow, and they'd ... so fired up, and they were ... And, and so, the fir- one of the first things the Lord said to me, he said, sh- uh, uh, it was pub- So we got it published, uh, on Amazon. I didn't wanna go through a publisher. I d- I had already worked with publishers. I would wanna do this one all by myself, and I did. And so ... And God, of course. But it was j- so that was in late September, early October, and then it was January 2023. The Lord said, "Sheila, I want you to give a male fee- and female sheep to a poor village in Africa." We'd been praying for hungry, we'd been praying for the orphaned, right? We had a family in our church that was from Kenya, so I went to them, and I said, "Rose, can you contact your family back in Kenya and see if anybody needs, (laughs) needs some sheep?" Because I, I had to obey God, you know? He'd sent me on this mission, and now I had to find (laughs) who to, who to buy 'em for.
[26:23] Speaker 3: And they, I kept hearing, "Nope, nobody needs them. Nope, nobody needs one." And then I met a f- I was divinely connected with Bill and Judy Henderson of Storm Shelter Ministries, and they have schools and orphanages and a church in Kenya.
[26:40] Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
[26:41] Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
[26:41] Speaker 3: And so I said, "Judy, do you, by any chance, need sheep?" (laughs)
[26:48] Speaker 7: (laughs)
[26:48] Speaker 6: (laughs)
[26:48] Speaker 3: And she said, and, uh, uh, she said, "Sheila, we've been praying for a sheep ministry."
[26:55] Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh.
[26:56] Speaker 7: Oh, my. Yeah. man.
[26:56] Speaker 6: How great. (laughs)
[26:57] Speaker 3: And I love it because, and I'm gonna use my hands-
[27:00] Speaker 7: Yeah.
[27:00] Speaker 3: ... you know? It's like, we, uh, God told me to d- to provide this. They're praying for sheep-
[27:06] Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
[27:06] Speaker 3: ... and we're praying for the hungry and the orphans. They're praying for sheep, and God tells us to ... And see what that does?
[27:11] Speaker 7: Yep.
[27:11] Speaker 3: So we get to be the answer-
[27:13] Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
[27:13] Speaker 3: ... to the very prayers that we're praying.
[27:16] Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
[27:16] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[27:16] Speaker 3: And that's just one example.
[27:18] Speaker 7: Amen.
[27:18] Speaker 3: When we've been praying for the babies in the wombs, and we pray, we, the prayers we wrote for, where grace and mercy for those women who'd already made that horrible, you know, decision to make-
[27:29] Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
[27:29] Speaker 3: ... but, but that God's grace covers even that, you know, if, with repentance and saying, "I'm sorry," but, and then those who longed to have a baby but couldn't have a baby, and, um, so we, we were praying for all of that. And now, today, we, we are now partnering with 14 ministries, 15 ministries that are being answers to the prayers. And I, when I say partnering, we're not just sending checks. We do that, as well, as a church. We tithe. Whatever our entire revenue is for the year, we give a 10, we give a 10% of that, and most of it goes to these ministries. And so, we, um, so, so like w- we do Love Life, we partner with Love Life. We go and we stand outside the abortion clinics, um, every other month. We do our church, we actually go and stand there, and we just pray. And we pray that the babies will be sa- will be saved. We partner with the places that provide care for crisis pregnancy centers.
[28:36] Speaker 3: We, um, and I'm cl- I'm good friends with a lot of these ministry leaders, and I cover them and partner with them. And so-
[28:45] Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
[28:45] Speaker 3: ... we've t- I've done, (laughs) I've really been ... I partnered with, uh, when h- Jenny Donnelly, Her Voice Movement, that was the Million Women March to-
[28:54] Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
[28:55] Speaker 3: ... to DC. I've been Jenny's, um, intercessor and part of that whole team, and when she did May Day events all last spring, um, she did five of them, I was her lead intercessor, and then I actually, my team and I went, and we, and we took a stand on Hollywood Boulevard the week before the gay parade was supposed to happen there.
[29:15] Speaker 7: Hmm.
[29:15] Speaker 3: And we, uh, (laughs) and we brought the good news of Jesus Christ to Hollywood Boulevard.
[29:21] Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
[29:22] Speaker 3: And so, we just, I mean, this is what we've gotten to do. It's just been ... I can't even tell you how exciting it is to see, because it shows me that God is moving. He hears the prayers, but when we get to be a part of answering them, it's just, there's nothing more f- I mean, I'm having the time of my life.
[29:44] Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
[29:45] Speaker 3: And I'm just like-
[29:45] Speaker 7: Yeah.
[29:45] Speaker 3: ... "Oh, yeah. God can use me, too." (laughs)
[29:49] Speaker 7: (laughs)
[29:49] Speaker 6: (laughs)
[29:50] Speaker 3: And he can use any of us. He can use any of us. So, that's just, so that's, that's that one. Oh, and then, that, remember I kept wanting to take Of The World out, uh-
[30:02] Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
[30:02] Speaker 3: ... 'cause I didn't have a platform anymore? Well then, Bill and Judy Henderson, they said, "Why don't you come to Kenya?" And I said, "Oh!"I didn't say it to them, but I just said-
[30:16] Speaker 8: (laughs)
[30:16] Speaker 3: ... thinking, "That's a long flight." (laughs)
[30:19] Speaker 8: (laughs)
[30:20] Speaker 3: The last thing I wanted to do was go to Africa-
[30:23] Speaker 8: (laughs)
[30:23] Speaker 3: ... to be honest with you. And then, it was just two days later, I walk, was, woke up in the morning, and I walked, stepped from the wood floor into the carpet of the, th- that's threshold, you know? God does that kinda stuff so you don't forget.
[30:37] Speaker 8: Mm.
[30:38] Speaker 3: And he said, "I want you to go to Africa, Sheila." And I thought, "Oh, you do? Okay." And then I re- and then I wanted to go. It was just as soon as he said it, my hea- my heart just flipped completely-
[30:51] Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
[30:51] Speaker 3: ... a whole 180 degrees, and I thought, "Oh, I gotta call them right away b- I don't, I hope I didn't m- miss my opportunity to go." So, we went, and we did the 26-hour flight. (laughs)
[31:05] Speaker 8: Yes. (laughs)
[31:05] Speaker 3: And I couldn't pick better people to go with. Judy and I, we were flying ... It was six months after we bought the first sheep, and I said, "Judy, do you think there's lambs yet?" (laughs) She said, "Should be." So then, you know, she gets a text, "Sheila, we've got a lamb." "Oh."
[31:27] Speaker 8: (laughs)
[31:27] Speaker 3: I couldn't wait to, wait, I couldn't wait to land and see the lamb, right?
[31:31] Speaker 8: Yeah, sweet.
[31:32] Speaker 3: And we get there, and we, we land after 26 hours. I said that at least once because (laughs) it was certainly a big obstacle for me. But then, it was 5:00 AM, and all these children were there, greeting us, singing at the, at the ... you know, these beautiful children. And I'm thinking, "Oh, they're gonna take me back to our Airbnb, and I get to lie down, and I get to brush my teeth, and get to (laughs) y- you know, and just freshen up." No. They took us straight to the school, and it was in Kawangware, which is the world's second-largest slum.
[32:14] Speaker 8: Oh, boy.
[32:16] Speaker 3: Now, I'm a person who loves schools. I mean, I love schools. I walk on any school campus, and my heart begins to beat fast.
[32:26] Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
[32:27] Speaker 3: And they, and I was looking for the school, looking for the school. But it was a slum, and I didn't... And they said, "Here we are," and I thought, "There's no school here. I don't see a school."
[32:38] Speaker 8: Mm-mm.
[32:39] Speaker 3: And we got out, and then I heard it way back behind the corrugated, barely standing up tin, right, shacks.
[32:48] Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
[32:49] Speaker 3: And I heard these children's voices rising up above and the sound of them singing t- to Jesus, and it was, uh, a portal to heaven, right? R- right? It was just, like, heavenly, heavenly, heavenly. We watched back there, and all these beautiful, beautiful, beautiful children. And I sat, I get emotional thinking about it.
[33:10] Speaker 8: Yeah.
[33:11] Speaker 3: And I said, "God, thank you for asking me to write the book."
[33:18] Speaker 8: Amen. Yeah.
[33:19] Speaker 3: "Thank you, because I would've missed out on this blessing."
[33:22] Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
[33:23] Speaker 3: And (laughs) he, he said to me, he goes, "Sheila, do you remember how I kept wanting you to take Hug the World out of the title?" (laughs) "It was a year ago today I asked you to write that book." And then he said, "Daughter, don't ever put limitations on me ever again."
[33:41] Speaker 8: (laughs) That's right.
[33:43] Speaker 3: Yes, sir. (laughs)
[33:45] Speaker 8: (laughs)
[33:46] Speaker 3: And s- we went out to the, and then we went out to the village, took a little prop plane way out to Matesee, and, and we g- stood in this village, and these four women who I, I personally bought them for them, but I brought a bunch of Kenyan shillings from my church with me. And, um, (laughs) and these women with these sheep, and they greeted me one after another. They said, "Thank you, ma'am. I can now feed my children." Do you know how much it costs per sheep? $50?
[34:20] Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
[34:20] Speaker 3: That's it. You know, and that was, that was three years ago now, right? And do you know how many sheep there are? And one of the women has bought a cow, and you know (laughs) I mean, God has such good ideas. (laughs)
[34:37] Speaker 8: (laughs)
[34:37] Speaker 3: And, um, and I just had the time of my life with that one. And that just really, uh, set me on a trajectory of changing my life. So, then, now we're gonna ... then COVID hit, right? (clears throat) Well, when COVID hit, there was, uh, well actually, COVID hit before that. Sorry about that 'cause it was 2020. But during COVID, um, my, 'cause I gave your, your, um, audience a teaser, and I'm getting, 'cause that's not gonna get to that. My, uh, son and dau- my oldest son and his wife, they're both attorneys, and so they're very, very busy.
[35:22] Speaker 3: And they had this s- grandson of mine who I always called him a, a heartful, not a handful, 'cause Dad always said, "Only use positive words." (laughs)
[35:35] Speaker 8: (laughs)
[35:36] Speaker 3: And so, I was, so I always called him my heartful, my heartful JJ.
[35:41] Speaker 8: Yeah.
[35:41] Speaker 3: And, um, and so they decided they were one and done. They gave everything away. And then they said, it was, so it was January of, of 2020. W- we didn't know, 'cause everybody was isolated. Does anybody remember those days when-
[35:58] Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
[35:58] Speaker 3: ... you would w- drive by, and you'd wave, and you'd (laughs) you know? They were, oh, crazy days. But, so we had no idea that my son and daughter-in-law had had a change of heart because my grandson had started to pray for a sibling.
[36:14] Speaker 8: Hmm.
[36:14] Speaker 3: So, mom and dad-... said, "Well, maybe we should try for one more." Now, this is not a very enthusiastic attempt at trying to have a baby.
[36:25] Speaker 9: (laughs)
[36:25] Speaker 3: And so... (laughs) I say that to say, uh, they weren't even sure they wanted a second child. And then, um, my daughter-in-law, we had no idea this is going on. She wa- with her mask, she went in to see the doctor, and the doctor said, "You are pregnant, Mrs. Coleman. We'll see you next month." She goes, "Whoa, that was easy. That was fast." (laughs) And so the next month, she went. The doctor said, "Oh, there's two there." (laughs)
[37:01] Speaker 9: (laughs)
[37:02] Speaker 3: He said, "Come back next month."
[37:04] Speaker 9: (laughs) Surprise.
[37:06] Speaker 3: So apparently, we never knew any about this. They're out there going, "Twins. Twins, twins. What are we gonna do?" So then her next appointment, she went in, and then the doc, the ul- ultrasound gal went and said, "I've gotta get the doctor." So the doctor came out. My daughter-in-law, being an attorney, she thought the worst, right? And, um, the doctor said, "I'm really sorry, Mrs. Coleman. One was hiding behind the other.
[37:37] Speaker 3: There's triplets."
[37:42] Speaker 9: Oh. (laughs)
[37:43] Speaker 1: No.
[37:44] Speaker 3: "Come back next month." My daughter-in-law said, "No, every time I come back, you add another baby."
[37:49] Speaker 9: (laughs)
[37:51] Speaker 1: (laughs)
[37:53] Speaker 9: Oh, my.
[37:54] Speaker 1: That's wild.
[37:55] Speaker 3: And so, my s- so then it, then they called us, uh, it was just the day after Easter. They FaceTimed us 'cause it was still COVID, and they said, "We're expecting triplets." And of course I thought, "Oh, yeah, right, right. No way." But, um, yeah, my daughter-in-law without n- she... They're called spontaneous, which means they're truly one in a million, and so, uh, but the, the boys, there's two identical twin boys (laughs) who are like two little tiggers, and they're the most act- (laughs) crazy, out of control-
[38:34] Speaker 9: (laughs)
[38:34] Speaker 3: ... and there's two of 'em. And so they get each other going, and it's just, it's really-
[38:38] Speaker 1: What did-
[38:39] Speaker 3: And then-
[38:39] Speaker 1: Heartful? I think you said heartful?
[38:42] Speaker 3: Heartful. (laughs)
[38:43] Speaker 9: (laughs)
[38:43] Speaker 1: (laughs)
[38:43] Speaker 3: Heartful. Uh, overflowing-
[38:46] Speaker 9: (laughs)
[38:47] Speaker 3: ... abundant-
[38:47] Speaker 9: (laughs)
[38:47] Speaker 3: ... pressed down, shaken together. (laughs) And then, and then, they're identical. And they are identical. And then there's little Tinsley Grace who is their sister, and they couldn't look more different. But, um, but so we d- we agreed to be in their double bubble, so we basically had to raise these, be, help raise these triplets. And so, that's, that was, that changed our life considerably. We now have a total of t- um, nine, 10 grandchildren, and, um, but we still spend a lot of time with them. And it was, so while we were in the midst of this triplet nest, um, because one of the attacks that the enemy has had on the children, the, one of his biggest is the identity.
[39:43] Speaker 1: Of course.
[39:45] Speaker 3: And... Right?
[39:46] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[39:47] Speaker 3: And th- so the identity of the children. And so, and the Lord just impressed upon me how important it is to, to be releasing blessings over these children, and to, and like Dad said, make sure that all our words are positive, but taking the blessings that the Lord has written in His Word, and releasing them over the children. And becau- and so, I set about, because I was with 'em all the time, still am. Fact I'm not with 'em last Monday or tonight, and sad to say, you know, "Will you guys please forgive me?" And they'll be like, "Grandma, you coming back?" "Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure." (laughs)
[40:27] Speaker 1: (laughs)
[40:27] Speaker 9: (laughs)
[40:27] Speaker 3: And, um, but 'cause they're five now, and they, and I just have to s- give God all the credit and all the glory. The doctors wanted my daughter-in-law to choose which ones to keep and which ones not to keep, because the boys were, shared a placenta, and so they were at risk, high risk for twin-twin transfusion, I think it's called. I'm, I'm looking at the doctor to see (laughs) if I'm doing okay. (laughs) Yeah.
[40:54] Speaker 9: They were between each other.
[40:56] Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. So it's, um... But they, she, my daughter-in-law carried them to 35 weeks, which is really a long time for triplets. And she walked herself in from her law office on her heels and wheeling her little overnight bag behind her-
[41:13] Speaker 1: (laughs)
[41:14] Speaker 3: ... and said, "I'm here to check in for my cesarean for my triplets." And they all were like, "Mm, what?"
[41:19] Speaker 1: (laughs)
[41:20] Speaker 3: And, um, they ha- so they averaged five pounds each.
[41:25] Speaker 1: Wow.
[41:25] Speaker 9: Hm. Wow. Great.
[41:27] Speaker 3: 15 pounds of baby.
[41:30] Speaker 9: (laughs)
[41:31] Speaker 3: So God is good, and they're all perfect. They didn't stay-
[41:36] Speaker 9: (laughs)
[41:36] Speaker 3: ... they were in, we call baby NICU for maybe a week.
[41:39] Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
[41:40] Speaker 3: And so, they've just been, just been a delight, and God i- it's, they're miracles. They're just miracles.
[41:46] Speaker 9: It's them.
[41:46] Speaker 3: And so, I would say to them, I'd say, "Okay, repeat after Grandma. I am," and they go, "I am, I'm one in a million, I'm one in a million."
[41:57] Speaker 1: (laughs)
[41:58] Speaker 3: "Miracle, miracle. Yes, you are. You are one in a million, a miracle."
[42:02] Speaker 9: (laughs) Good.
[42:04] Speaker 3: And then I would say to them, "Repeat after Grandma. I am, I am, the beloved child, the beloved child of the Most High God, of the Most High God.""Yes, you are." And see, that, I think, that's so important for us to teach the children who they are. And if we can tea- And so, what I've taught my grandchildren through the, through the Holy Spirit's prompting, they now are decreeing and declaring their true identity.
[42:38] Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. Yeah.
[42:38] Speaker 3: 'Cause now when I ask them, I'll say, "Who are you?" "I am the beloved child of the Most High God." "Yes, you are."
[42:46] Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
[42:47] Speaker 3: And that's why we got to Tinsley, that one day I said to her, "Now repeat after me, Tinsley, 'I am blessed and highly favored.'" Tinsley said, "I'm blessed and highly..." Does anybody remember what she said?
[42:59] Speaker 1: Flavored. (laughs)
[43:01] Speaker 3: Flavored. (laughs)
[43:03] Speaker 1: Flavored. (laughs)
[43:03] Speaker 3: Flavored. (laughs)
[43:03] Speaker 1: Flavored. (laughs)
[43:04] Speaker 10: She's flavored. (laughs)
[43:04] Speaker 11: Yeah, she is. (laughs)
[43:06] Speaker 3: And so, I-
[43:07] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[43:07] Speaker 3: ... said to her, "Do you know what favored means?" And she said, "No, what?" And I said, "Well, what flavor do you think... What, what's your favorite flavor, Tinsley?" She says, "Chocolate." I said, "What do you... Does... What do you think God's favorite flavor is?" And she said, "Well, chocolate."
[43:24] Speaker 1: (laughs)
[43:24] Speaker 3: And I said, "Well, maybe, but what if all the flavors are God's favorite 'cause he made 'em all?" "Oh." And I said, "Do you think he, any of his children are his favorite?" "Hm. Maybe?" "He made 'em all." "Yeah." "Then they're all his favorite."
[43:44] Speaker 11: For sure.
[43:44] Speaker 3: So that became, uh, my little book, Claiming the Identity of Christ's Children-
[43:49] Speaker 11: Mm-hmm.
[43:49] Speaker 3: ... and teaching them how to, and giving, it's a handbook for families so that, to teach them how they can release these blessings over their children-
[43:58] Speaker 11: Mm-hmm.
[43:58] Speaker 3: ... and to speak God's blessing over them. You know, like, like surely to, saying to them, when you're dropping them off at school, "Surely goodness and follow, and mercy will follow you today and every day." You know, all of those beautiful, amazing blessings, to be speaking them into their life and, and claiming them for them. And, and so, uh, so that's how that happened. And then, um, The Living Tree, th- I told the story last week about how my father and my grandfather cut down the tree, and I won't tell it again.
[44:34] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[44:35] Speaker 3: But, and, but they, they found out it was not a dead tree like they thought, but a living tree. (clears throat) So that was an inspiration to write a children's book story about, um, the crucifixion and resurrection for children through the perspective of a garden.
[44:55] Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
[44:55] Speaker 3: And so the garden, you know, it starts out like it was winter and the garden slept. (clears throat) But in springtime, the garden awoke like it always does, you know, so all of it. And then, when they heard that there was death in the garden, 'cause the tree gets cut down, the garden wept. They didn't know what their place of life. They didn't know what to do with that. So anyway, I had this, my sister-in-law, she's a wonderful artist, and she did all the artwork 'cause I can't draw stick figures. (clears throat) But that's, that was for the children. It's all about the children, right? And then, um, last but not least, uh, it was October 7. Well, you all know what happened on October 7th and, um, when Hamas invaded Israel.
[45:48] Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
[45:50] Speaker 3: And, but what horrified me as much as all of that was when, um, as an educator, as having earned my doctorate in education, and all of my time that I devoted in energy to teaching children, I saw being played out in our college and universities, this antisemitism, the hateful, hateful words that were being. And it wasn't just hateful words that was being thrown. The things that were being played out in the street, (clears throat) still is today. Amen?
[46:30] Speaker 1: Yes, they were.
[46:31] Speaker 3: So, uh, (clears throat) I thought, "How in the..." And I said, so I cried out to God and I said, "Lord, where did we go wrong as educators?"
[46:39] Speaker 1: Right. Sheila, I want you to keep that thought, if you would. What a-
[46:43] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[46:44] Speaker 1: ... what a wonderful thing for children to hear all those wonderful things, feel them and know them compared to what most kids are seeing, feeling, and hearing, and missing today. We need to take just a break here for a second.
[46:56] Speaker 3: Yeah, sure.
[46:56] Speaker 1: What a wonderful... So, so interesting. So interesting. And, um, uh, Stephanie, could, if you could share a word or, later, in a moment, after you're done, I wanna ask Tank to say a prayer. Because as a doctor, I can see his head shaking. I know he's got so many things he's seen and really relating to what you're saying also, so when we do close, I'll ask Tank if he would close in just a few minutes. Stephanie, could you share a word just, uh, with our people? It's, it's so much better when you do it.
[47:23] Speaker 1: (laughs)
[47:23] Speaker 11: Listen, I, I don't know how the Lord put us on this radio show, but we're with these amazing retired pastors. And as we see the legacy of Dr. Sheila and just-
[47:34] Speaker 1: Yes.
[47:34] Speaker 11: ... how they've gone before us. And so, it's an honor to do this because they have done it for years. So, we encourage you to go to bbsradio.com/raisingexpectations. That is where you can kind of, it's like the hub space, you can find all that you need to know about the show. We have ways that you can donate. We have snail mail, we have fancy PayPal and Venmo. You can do a QR code. You can reach out to Pastor Joe directly. Any contribution is helpful. It costs money to be on the show. We are very lean and mean with our budget. We are mindful of how we use that money. As well, you can see here, there are past shows. You can search if you wanna listen to a certain guest. The Lord has blessed us with who comes on this show. Honestly, just amazing. You can connect with us each individually on different social media platforms. You can see Dr. Joe's, uh, Pastor Joe's, uh, book-... my husband's book. And, uh, we just welcome you to go there and we just thank you as well.
[48:37] Speaker 11: You can share the show, you can give a like, you can repost when you see us published. All of those things also help the show. Um, in the era of social media, it's very helpful to just like, make a comment. All of those things help us get more reach. And that really is the goal, to bring people together to know what the Lord has for them. Um-
[49:00] Speaker 1: Amen.
[49:00] Speaker 11: ... Sheila, I wanted to share something with you, too. You know, that October 7th, um, day, I was very troubled that night and I could not sleep. And there were a lot of people that had reached out to me about prayer. And actually, I'm really serious, I've developed a serious prayer life. I'm not a natural journaler, but if you call me and you say prayer, I probably will send you a voice text praying for you immediately, and then I write it down. And what I did not know is that, um, at sunset that night, it was actually, I'll say it wrong, but Simchat Torah. So it was a Jewish holiday in the biblical calendar where they celebrate the reading of the Torah. And so, isn't that how it always works?
[49:44] Speaker 11: The enemy comes to attack on these special days when the entire community was celebrating Shabbat Sabbath-
[49:52] Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
[49:52] Speaker 11: ... being in a, a state of rest and presence with the Lord, right?
[49:56] Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
[49:56] Speaker 11: And so, nothing is new under the sun to the Lord.
[50:00] Speaker 1: That's right.
[50:00] Speaker 11: He already knows. We just have to be in the Word and praying and worshiping with the Lord, and He makes it so abundantly clear, and we miss the signals so often of what He's trying to say to us, right?
[50:16] Speaker 1: Yeah. Amen. Yeah. Need to be awake. Awake
[50:21] Speaker 11: That's right.
[50:21] Speaker 1: ... aware, and at war with the supernatural as it says half the time as we look at what's ahead. Thank you, Stephanie, for sharing that. Yeah. Are-
[50:29] Speaker 11: Yep.
[50:29] Speaker 1: ... anyth- anything else there?
[50:31] Speaker 11: That was it.
[50:32] Speaker 1: Now we... (laughs) Okay. That was... okay. Sheila, can you take, uh, just a word in? We've got, uh, we've got two minutes, if you could do that. Thanks.
[50:42] Speaker 3: Well, it's just been a joy to be able to share what the Lord is doing and to be able to let the w- to raise awareness of what the enemy's been up to, but that, but even more what the Lord is doing.
[50:57] Speaker 1: Amen.
[50:58] Speaker 3: And so, um, yeah. So we just need to... So that's why the, the, the book, Unearthing the Lost Treasure Wisdom, is we need to be teaching God's wisdom. That's what that... So that's what that book is about, but-
[51:14] Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
[51:14] Speaker 3: ... so I just, I'm just really excited about... and grateful, uh, to be able to carry on a legacy. And I wanna encourage everybody out there, God needs you.
[51:27] Speaker 1: Amen.
[51:28] Speaker 3: And He's chosen you. And He... and for such a time as this, 'cause these are days when you are needed probably more than ever.
[51:37] Speaker 1: Amen. Exactly right. Well, all right. Well, thank you, Sheila. We're sure gonna try to have you come back again with us. (laughs) We'll write a letter to your grandkids. (laughs) See if they'll let that work out for you. So that would be great. We appreciate you. Uh, we've grown to love and appreciate you and your ministry. And, uh, you'll be in our prayers, like Steph said. I guarantee you, Steph's-
[51:58] Speaker 3: Always.
[51:58] Speaker 1: ... a prayer warrior. She's awesome, and so is my wife. You be... we have double coverage here for you. But, uh, ladies and gentlemen, thank you for tuning in. I'm looking... clock always goes by too fast, you know, on our show, but, um, you know, we'll all be praying for you and what's coming and we'll be in contact and, uh, what a blessing. And, uh, you let us know how we can pray. Just write us, call us, and, uh, Melba and, and Steph, all of us, so that we can be praying for you specifically, uh, on things that are coming up. That would be great. Ladies and gentlemen, same for you folks, if you'll just go ahead and send those notes in. Text us, email us, go on the site. We'll follow up a- and get back to you also. And, uh, we'll be praying for you, just like Paul. Uh, Paul, it's good to see you, brother. I know Paul is a prayer- another prayer warrior. It's, it's awesome. So, Tank, maybe you could pray for, uh, in a special of the close ..........................
[52:51] Speaker 1: Dear God, thank you for Sheila. Thank you for her being a warrior for the children Yes We need to be the light and example and to show that they are flavored Yes. (laughs) Yes. Amen They are the upcoming world. They need to see our example of your light, God, that there is a path to heaven, to be with you, that there's a morality that we need to live by and love people by, even as hard as loving the enemy. Oh God, let us be that light to train ... to be the teachers for our youth, including college students, uh, to just be that example that they can see and tangibly want to act like and see how the joy we have in doing that for you, God. In Jesus' name I pray.
[53:53] Speaker 1: Amen
[53:55] Speaker 3: Amen.
[53:55] Speaker 1: Amen. Thanks, Tank. Thank you, Sheila. Ladies and gentlemen, remember, greater is He that's in you than he that's in the world. So, uh, like Sheila was saying, just let Him out. Strap in, hang on, and watch what He's going to do through you for Him to everyone. Thanks for tuning in tonight. God bless you all. See you next week.
[54:15] Speaker 3: See you.
