Aaron Davidson, Davidson Hill Venturi water current turbine - In October 2003, Davidson and Hill achieved world record results of the highest efficiency from a water current turbine -- 3.84 times what had ever been achieved in an open turbine in a free stream of water. The company is commencing the commercialization stage, with an expected price that competes with coal in the range of 3.5 to 6 cents per kw-h.
