SELF-TITLED ALBUM TO BE RELEASED JULY 26TH

Since her celebrated band Purson played its final gig in December 2016, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rosalie Cunningham has been quietly reinventing her career and is emerging from her self-imposed “musical hibernation” as the visionary solo artist she always was.

Rosalie’s eponymous début album – due for release in early 2019 – is the result of an extended period of reflection and will contain her strongest and most daring songwriting to date, ranging from a three minute Blackbird-esque nod to her creative hero Sir Paul McCartney, to an epic prog rock saga that will take the listener on the mother of all sonic journeys.

The album features a full range of musical styles showing off to the full Rosalies incredible vocal range and playing ability and is sure to delight both old fans of Purson and hopefully many new fans.

The self-titled album will be available both on Digipack single CD and 180-gram vinyl format on July 26th. In support of the release, Rosalie and her band will be touring the UK in July 2019 with further dates to come.

Her creativity first reached the wider public in 2007 when she founded her first professional band, the all-female, Gothic-psychedelic outfit Ipso Facto, releasing three singles and a mini album, touring as support to Magazine and The Last Shadow Puppets, and becoming the new darlings of the festival circuit.

After Ipso Facto’s split, Rosalie immersed herself in the session world, guesting with numerous bands and artists, and appearing on TV programmes including ‘Later… With Jools Holland’, ‘BBC Electric Proms’ and NBC’s ‘Jay Leno Show’, however, the burning urge to cultivate her own music was never far away. In 2011, wearing her psychedelic influences even more proudly, Rosalie’s next move was to launch the internationally acclaimed Purson.

For Rosalie, her creative spring has finally blossomed, though not without a few birth pangs. She explains: “After Purson came to an end, I continued to write songs, not for an album, a band or anything in particular – it was purely cathartic. Being subconsciously released from the shackles of writing music for a band to perform live let me express myself more honestly. Some of the lyrics are quite close to the bone and I’ve found myself exploring new genres.

MICHAEL ROTONDI

Michael Rotondi, FAIA, principal of RoTo Architects, is internationally recognized as an architect/educator. He has practiced and taught architecture for 35 years, and defines both as one activity. He has always been based in Los Angeles, co-founding two international practices, Morphosis (1975-1991) and RoTo Archinects (1991-present).

In 1972, he and 50 colleagues co-founded SCI-Arc under the direction of Ray Kappe. He started and was the first Director of Graduate Programs (1978-1987) and for ten years (1987-1997) served as the second director of SCI-Arc. He currently teaches as a Distinguished Faculty and is an Honorary Trustee.

RoTo Architects works range from contemplative, to cultural, to commercial. The works have received many awards and have been widely published. Rotondi has lectured and taught worldwide for many years. At SCI-Arc, he teaches thesis students, design studios and a lecture-seminar of creative imagination. After so many years of teaching, he believes he is in the 5th phase shifting his approach and delivery from that of a teacher to a mentor.

LIZ FOHL

Liz Fohl grew up in Indianapolis and recorded/released her first collection of songs the summer after 8th grade (she burned each CD and wrote the track titles on every one with a Sharpie). In high school, she signed up for show choir before knowing what it was, put out a second record (no Sharpies this time), and dyed her hair many, many colors.

Liz studied songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston before moving to Los Angeles to pursue music full time. She interned at Fader5 Studios and performed 4 nights a week at a high-energy dueling piano bar in Hollywood for a few years. Now she works out of her cozy home studio, complete with a very cute husky, where she writes custom music for tv shows and commercials, composes custom podcast music, records voice over content, and produces original music.

A talented musician, vocalist and performer, Liz plays piano, guitar, and electric bass, as well as being a professional vocalist. Liz has toured internationally as a solo act as well as accompanying American Idol and X-Factor contestants.

Liz’s clients include: Netflix, MTV, VH1, Sony BMG, VIACOM, Comedy Central, Amazon Web Services, TikTok, The Buffalo Bills, The ASCAP Foundation, DeBeers Jewelers, Harper’s Bazaar, many more.

Frank St. James is well known for his work with many local police and investigative authorities. He appeared on The Psychic Detectives, as well as the Bio Show on A&E Cable, and is also a top radio personality. He was once a detective, has worked with the FBI, and the answers he gives are usually spot on! Frank is very popular at the New Jersey Psychic Fairs and books out quickly.

It is no secret that Laurie has semi-retired and has closed her office in Lake Oswego, Oregon that she  had for more than thirty years. We have moved to Central Oregon to a beautiful rural area a few miles outside of Redmond. The property has been owned by us for several years but we only had a house built there during the last few months. We began moving in during the last half of July, 2015 and now have a very modest 2600 square foot home with two unattached garages on two acres overlooking a big canyon.

Laurie spent several months looking at homes, modular homes and other types of construction in the Portland area before she selected a floor plan that she liked and had the builder convert her ideas into a stick-built home that would be appropriate for our new area. Laurie selected all the appliances, interior colors, kitchen layout and even purchased quite a bit of new bedroom furniture and other items for the house. For my part, I was left in charge of the two garages and have all my woodworking and auto repair tools in the larger of the two garages.

Laurie has outfitted her home office with her computer, landline phones and recording equipment and has resumed a scaled down business, albeit just on the phone so far. She has not decided whether to open an office in Bend or Redmond or to travel a few times a month to those areas or to Portland for personal readings. The concept of being semi-retired is difficult for her to accept. She has resumed talking to large groups and has several speaking engagements planned.

One of the pluses of living in a rural area is the wildlife. There are many deer, cottontail bunnies, jackrabbits, quail, doves, ground squirrels and other critters in our front yard on a daily basis. Central Oregon is generally described as being Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson Counties in the middle of the state. This would encompass cities like Bend, Redmond, Prineville, Terrebonne and Madras along with a myriad of small cities included. The general area is known for deep canyons, rivers, Juniper trees and sagebrush. Many years ago Laurie worked at the hospital in Madras while living in a town called Culver next to Lake Billy Chinook. She fell in love with the region then and always thought she would return to the area.

In addition to offering psychic assistance to over 7,000 personal and business clients over the past 33 years, she has also worked on more than 500 cases (several being internationally known). While the specifics of whom she has helped are confidential in nature, her work on nationally televised cases continues on into today. Laurie has worked domestically as well as internationally with many law enforcement agencies.

Laurie has been profiled on The Lifetime Channel for her work in this field, on a special called “Beyond Chance” – her extensive media coverage and experience also includes 52 television appearances, 21 radio shows, and  being highlighted in 4 books. In addition, the murder case in which Laurie met her police detective husband (me) has been filmed by six separate production companies and made into half hour television shows. Laurie and Bob have even gone to Japan and filmed the case there using Japanese actors in addition to Bob and Laurie.

Robin Quinn Keehn has had years of experience running businesses that center around teaching and mentoring. A former music & dance studio owner with more than 60 employees and thousands of students, Robin has a passion for helping parents, teachers & coaches raise kids that stick with activities. Dr. Weber, the Director of Primary Care/Sports Medicine and Women's Sports Medicine at Rush University Medical Center, possesses a unique expertise with the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal issues. In addition, she is the Founder and the Director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship at Rush University Medical Center. She has taught numerous medical students, residents, and fellows and is the recipient of numerous awards for excellence in patient care and teaching. Dr. Weber serves on the board of Girls in the Game and was honored in 2006 as their Health Champion. Dr. Weber has published many articles, book chapters and is an active researcher. A former college athlete, she has been involved in athletics as a team physician, an exercise physiologist, and as an avid athlete. 

Dr. Weber's reputation as a leading sports medicine physician is enhanced by her remarkable activity in the treatment of high-level professional athletes. She serves as the head primary care sports medicine team physician for the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago White Sox and the head team physician for the Chicago Force Women's Football. She also serves as co-head team physician for the DePaul Blue Demons and the physician for the Hubbard Street Dance and the River North Dance Companies. In addition, she is a member of the LPGA Medical Advisory Board. She is on numerous committees including the NBA Team Physicians Executive Committee, NBA Research Committee, MLB Concussion Committee, and MLB Research Committee. Dr. Weber has been involved with the MLB Medical Advisory Board for multiple years and is the first women elected President of the MLB Team Physicians Association. 

She and her family live in Chicago.
