A Message from Veronica --

HELLO EVERYONE:

Don’t you love this post! Hearing some of the true potency of LIGHT WORK?  I am delighted that studies are giving structure, 3D power and magical construction to light, something that some of us use mostly in our spiritual visualization healing work.

These have been hard times in our history, forcing breakthroughs and wonderful birthings as the crust of our reality breaks under duress.   MY Guidance loves the term "crucible", a symbol of the discomfort, of challenges society’s latest womb (ie. Shutdown), that eventually is birthing new talents in people, changes, communications, movies, television, media of all types.   Add how times of inner musing stirred with frustration or fear, access changing paradigms, new beliefs, freedoms and discoveries in how to learn or create.   So many of the healing styles and new social programs are rising from our global confinement.

Call in – Tell us what you learned from your time in the crucible - the lockdown.

Or maybe it is time for your session!   Book with me and my LOVING Guides HERE on my website.

And much love to you as we all grow and grow.

The Sports Doctor Guest, Sheila Thelen May 26, 2021
President at Vestibular Training Services & provider of Figure Skating Spin Training Tools & Seminars Worldwide

Sheila Thelen has been a coach at the Figure Skating Club of Bloomington in Minnesota for the past 32 years. However, teaching skating is just part of her busy life dedicated to improving skaters’ training.

Thelen created several products skaters use on and off ice to help their skating techniques. She also hosts numerous seminars and is part of an online coaching staff.

“I’m thrilled to have met Trevor Laak, the founder of iCoachSkating.com, before he founded it,” Thelen said.

After meeting at Grassroots to Champions seminars, Thelen joined his company as a consultant and helps with their online marketing.

“iCoachSkating is truly a revolution in how coaches all over can improve their knowledge and improve their skaters,” Thelen said. “Every problem a coach has ever had, Trevor has a video to fix that problem. It’s fun to see skaters and coaches learning new techniques and skills on iCoachSkating, and it’s fantastic that skaters and coaches can join the website.”

iCoach, however, is just the beginning. She’s also a very successful entrepreneur, creating several products skaters use to improve various elements.

“My first big product I created was the ‘Jump Ease Skating Harness,’” Thelen said. “I learned a lot about business and how to make a company fun.”

Her second product, Champion Cords, taught her to embrace something new at the time: a business website.

“I really learned how to create a website, and to work with patents (USA Patent:  7,214,171), skate shops, seminars, packaging, staff and manufacturing,” Thelen said. “Champion Cords are fantastic for teaching a skater to feel alignment position, muscle memory awareness and technique.”

Thelen since added the Champion Skating Harness and Champion Electric Spinner.

“Both of these products help the skater learn vestibular balance and air position,” Thelen said. “Truly how you train modern day rotation. It’s actually fun to see people installing this gear in their homes. They are also great for seminars. We haul in a harness, install it and train coaches how to use it.”

Her Champion Developmental Seminars keep this busy coach traveling to clubs with many top coaches.

“Each seminar can be custom designed to feature a guest coach,” Thelen said. “We bring in tons of gear and help the coaches develop skaters at all levels. We are absolutely honored to have an amazing staff of coaches to help.”

Thelen even created a fun jewelry piece with her Champion Achievement Charm bracelet. The charms include all the jumps and spins, a perfect and fun way for skaters to keep track of their progression.

“As your skater progresses through the sport, add a charm to the bracelet,” Thelen said.

Thelen will host a booth featuring all her products at the upcoming May PSA and CFSA conferences in Chicago and Moncton NB, Canada. A two day seminar with World Coach Ravi Walia is scheduled for June at the Bloomington FSC.

Her skating harness and electric spinner also recently became part of physical therapy research and development work with autistic children, something Thelen is extremely proud of.

“This work is so important to me,” Thelen said. “Improving children’s, skaters and families’ lives.”

The Sports Doctor Guest, Kirk Mango May 26, 2021
Author “Becoming a True Champion”, former NCAA gymnastics champion & Team Member on “Hey Sport Parents- The Sports Dr’s In”

It was February of 1974 when a completely unknown young gymnast, Kirk Mango, made a choice that would change the direction of his life and send him on an intense journey of self-discovery and accomplishment. His efforts would culminate in a State Championship, a high school All-American award and a full scholarship to compete in gymnastics at the NCAA Division I level for Northern Illinois University. What was most surprising and unbelievable about this was not only the achievement itself, but the fact that he did it in just one year-something nobody thought possible. For Kirk, it was the starting point of a career that has brought him numerous other awards and honors, first as an athlete, then as a coach and teacher.

A collegiate Division I National Champion and gold medalist on the still rings in 1979, Kirk had to defeat several Olympians to garner this honor, accomplishing this feat by almost 3 tenths of a point (former 10.0 scoring) above the next placed competitor. He was awarded commendations from the mayor of DeKalb, Illinois and from Northern Illinois University for high achievement and contribution to the City of DeKalb and to the University. The previous year Kirk had won the silver medal on this event in the 1978 Division I National Championships, losing the gold medal by a mere one-tenth of a point. Of particular note is that Kirk was in 17th place after the first preliminary round of competition (compulsory), moving to sixth place after the first optional round, and second place (and the silver medal) after receiving the highest optional score on still rings in the finals. He was selected as a collegiate All-American in both 1978 and 1979 and to the present day still holds the Northern Illinois University school record for the still rings event. Kirk’s accomplishments, along with his many other regional, dual-meet, and invitational championships (including the prestigious Windy City and Midwest Open), gave rise to his nickname, “The Lord of the Rings.”

In 2000, he was selected to the Northern Illinois Athletic Hall of Fame; there, his photograph hangs on the wall with some of the most prestigious athletes ever to attend and compete for Northern Illinois University. His most recent accolades include being chosen in 2009 as No. 8 of the Top 50 Athletes of All Time competing for NIU, induction into Willowbrook High School’s Inaugural Hall of Fame (with professional athlete greats, former Chicago Bears Tom Hicks, Cleveland Browns Matt Roth, former Philadelphia Phillies World Series pitcher Dan Schatzeder, and Milwaukee Brewers Jody Gerut), and induction into Northern Illinois Athletic Hall of Fame for a second time in October of 2010.

Kirk graduated NIU in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in education and in 1992 received his Master of Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Now retired, he taught high school students for 34 years and coached student-athletes for 17 of those years.

Interviewing The Legends Guest, Annie Haslam May 25, 2021
Singer, Songwriter, Musician, Artist

A   N   N   I   E

H   A   S   L   A   M

PROGRESSIVE ROCK QUEEN

ENCHANTING SONGSTRESS

with RENAISSANCE

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

Renaissance has had a long history spanning close to 50 years since its formation in 1969. With several personnel changes in the beginning years, the sound of the group eventually matured into a unique blending of folk, rock, and classical music including the integration of a full symphonic orchestra. Crowning all of this was the sound of the equally unique five-octave voice of Annie Haslam. During their great success in the 70’s the band toured extensively throughout the world in support of their numerous album releases. Highlights of this era included three sold out concerts at Carnegie Hall with The New York Philharmonic Orchestra and a sold-out concert at The Royal Albert Hall with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Chorale Society, all of which were recorded and released as ‘Live’ albums.

The woman whose crystal clear, high-flying soprano vocals earned her worldwide attention as the lead singer of the English classical rock band ‘Renaissance’ has recently achieved an entirely new level of appreciation as an ‘Intuitive’ painter. Annie is able to ‘tune’ into people, animals, situations, feelings and places, and portray them in her own unique style.

On canvas, Annie Haslam’s unmistakable world of sound is taken into unique vistas of color and vibration, not unlike the flow of her five-octave voice. Transporting the viewer to other worlds and through inner boundaries is her ultimate goal, bringing healing, serenity and peace through her work.

…….Nicholas J. Sands, director of Sands & Company Fine Art in New York City, heralded Annie’s paintings as “magical, enigmatic and wondrous for their ability to take us to a far-away place… of fluid forms that are at once alien and familiar, primordial yet recognizable, which dance in an endless array of colors that are as rich and intense as molten lava.”

In 2009 Annie and bandmate Michael Dunford reformed ‘Renaissance’.

Sadly Michael passed away in November 2012, and is greatly missed.

Annie decided to keep the music alive and kept touring with Renaissance in support of their album 'Symphony of Light'.

With their musical virtuosity, five strong lead voices, newest technological instrumentation and love for the music, they have created a new sound taking them into a new age and performing the repertoire with powerful precision across the world. This incarnation of Renaissance is new and different and is nothing short of amazing!

Annie Haslam & Renaissance recently released their new DVD entitled ‘A Symphonic Journey’ and are currently embarked on their Day of the Dreamer Tour –in support of their new DVD while performing selected US dates this Fall.

Purchase the brand-new DVD from Renaissance entitled

‘A Symphonic Journey’ at amazon.com

The DVD was filmed in October of 2017 and included for the first time the addition of The Renaissance Chamber Orchestra, a hand-picked group of 10 musicians, including strings, woodwind, brass and percussion. For this new DVD the band returned to the Keswick Theatre, this time employing the use of track and boom mounted cameras to create more up close and personal shots of the band and orchestra. The concert also featured large screen projections of original paintings by Annie Haslam, with corresponding titles to each song performed throughout the concert.

The DVD/2CD set will be available from Amazon USA, Europe, and Japan. Also, ‘Annie Haslam’ signed copies will be available through the band’s website

Words Women and Wisdom Show Guest, Kara Kennish May 25, 2021
Tim Hortons Franchisee, Speaker, Philanthropist

"I'll take on the world ... After my morning coffee"

Overcoming obstacles, to leverage strength and resiliency.

With Kara Kennish - Owner/Operator Tim Hortons Canada - Speaker and Philanthropist - Universal Women's Networks 100 Women of Inspiration - Advocate for Equal Opportunity.

Kara Kennish is a female business owner of a busy franchise in Ontario, Canada, who evolved from being a competitive teenage athlete who was almost obsessive about her weight, to surviving as a single mum, to leading by example in her business and her community while serving and her philanthropy endeavours.

"I'm a third generation Tim Hortons franchisee with a desire to help change the world. I'm determined to utilize the unique platform I have to make a difference in our communities both locally and internationally."

Her athletic history has provided her with opportunities to share her story with young girls across Canada, representing Tim Hortons in their collaboration with Barbie for the "Dream Gap", "You can be anything" and "One-of-a-king-Barbie" campaigns.

She dives into being an ambitious teen in competitive sports, and rigorously managing her weight so that she could compete, and win. Her personal trauma happened several years ago, after returning from a georgeous European vacation with her husband being so in love with him. A month later he came home one evening to tell me he would no longer be a husband or father and that he was leaving us for his 20-something year old co-worker.

With her life thrown upside down in those moments while she tried to sort out her own life- while trying to help her (then almost 14-year old) daughter also battle the abandonment.

Her dream is to build her Tim Hortons empire, to empower women specifically through leadership and sport, to be a change-maker in this world through her philanthropic efforts, all supporting equal opportunity with the THFC - Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, Empowerment Squared, and the Grindstone Awards. A success story is one built on grit, determination and resilience - with an independent streak for good luck!

Life Changes Show Guest, Forged May 24, 2021
Harmony Signers

JESSICA TEIXEIRA and SHAUNA MUHONEN

FORGED

Jessica and Shauna forged the perfect friendship!  Both singers since childhood, they came together with complimentary skills and preferences.  Jess prefers singing melody while Shauna prefers singing harmony.  Jess sings high and Shauna sings low.  They have a love of harmony that is shown in the songs that they write.  They have pursued careers in country music as they love the storytelling aspect of the genre.  In 3 ½ minutes of a country song you can listen to a lifetime, hear someone’s whole heart, or go on an adventure!  Jess and Shauna have started pitching their original music to Nashville labels, and hope to someday hear their songs sung by other talented artists in the industry.

A little about Shauna:  She is the mother of 6, is self-taught in mandolin and piano.  Shauna has fond memories of learning how to sing harmony as a child sitting at the feet of her mother.  Shauna has spent many years singing in various capacities for women’s groups, churches, fundraisers, etc.  Shauna created and runs a woman’s ministry as well.  Shauna is living the country lifestyle too she has horses and her husband even competes in Hunter/Jumper shows.

A little about Jess:  She is the mother of 4, is a licensed clinical mental health counselor, and her husband owns a pizza and sub shop that’s attached to their home.  Jess has spent many years singing in various competitions, churches, fundraisers, etc.  Jess even won the title as “college idol” in a spin off competition of American Idol at her alma mater.

Forged has grown over the years from a duo to a full band.  The band has grown to include Matt Johndrow (drums/writer), Mike Pistone (guitar/bass/keys/sound engineer/writer), and Rob Murphy (bass/sweet dance skills).  The band has 2 new songs in studio that will be ready to release soon.  The new songs are from both ends of the country spectrum.  One is the type of song you’d listen to on someone’s front porch (with a banjo of course) while the other is more of a fast paced rockin’ empowered song.  Stay tuned!

Life Changes Show Guest, Melanie Gibson May 24, 2021
Black belt in Taekwondo

MELANIE GIBSON

Melanie Gibson began taekwondo training at age ten. At age twelve she stopped taekwondo to pursue other interests, and resumed training in her early thirties.

Although Melanie had academic and career achievements throughout her life, she struggled with mental illness and low self-esteem. After making some progress through psychiatric treatment and counseling, she knew she needed to do something more substantial to make lasting changes. Returning to taekwondo had always been in the back of her mind, and the timing was right.

Taekwondo proved to be not only an opportunity to re-learn a beloved skill from her childhood, but also a means to build her self-esteem and confidence, and heal from old wounds. It brought a needed excitement and purpose to her life, which she shares in her blog Little Black Belt (http://littleblackbelt.com). While continuing to work at her full-time job, Melanie dedicated herself to taekwondo training and earned her first degree black belt in 2015. In 2017, she earned her second degree black belt. Although a pandemic and knee injury sidelined her training in 2020, Melanie plans to return to taekwondo and test for her third degree black belt.

She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Texas Woman’s University, a Master of Library Science from the University of North Texas, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington. Melanie has worked in the healthcare industry since 2004, with roles as a hospital librarian, corporate trainer, and learning designer.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Melanie Gibson was an independent woman with a good job, multiple college degrees, and a condo in the trendy part of Fort Worth. She also had a few mental illnesses, a minor substance abuse problem, and rotten relationship skills. She was nearing a total mental breakdown and needed a good kick in the pants, literally and metaphorically.

As a last desperate means to save her sanity, Melanie turned to a nearly forgotten childhood activity: the Korean martial art of taekwondo. To her surprise and delight, she discovered her childhood taekwondo instructors’ Grandmaster operated a taekwondo school a few miles from her home. She restarted her training as a white belt and quickly learned that taekwondo had much more to offer than just learning how to kick and punch.

In taekwondo, Melanie felt like she had a fresh start in more ways than one. She found an inner peace she’d never known before, a sense of community, a newfound confidence, healthy relationship stability, and a positive outlook on life. The kicking and screaming she was doing in class quieted the long-suffering kicking and screaming in her mind. Funny and frank, Kicking and Screaming: A Memoir of Madness and Martial Arts  is the story of Melanie’s life-changing journey from troubled, lost soul to confident taekwondo black belt.
