Mack Strong is the Seattle Seahawks former fullback player and assistant running back coach; for more than 14 years Mack Strong has built an entire career full of Seahawk memories with just one fortunate NFL team. He recently retired after an unexpected career ending neck injury. Former Seahawk Coach Holmgren is quoted as saying, “Mack is one of the greatest men I’ve been around…great teammate, great leader”.

As a professional athlete, Mack was known to inspire people both in the stadium and in the community. Mack has received numerous awards from Seahawks staff and other NFL players, including the Unsung Hero award (2001, 2002) and the Ed Block courage award (2001). He is also the only multiple recipient of the Steve Largent Award, which he has won five times (2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006). On the field, Mack is second in Seahawk history for games played at 201 and is behind only Joe Nash (218). Mack was voted twice to the Pro Bowl and once to the All Pro Team in 2005; as well, he had the incredible opportunity to be a major contributor to the Seahawks journey to Super Bowl XL. On August 30, 2008, Mack joined the Fox Sports Northwest network’s talent team. In addition to providing insight and commentary on FSN’s Seahawks coverage, he also was given his own show, titled “Mack Strong: Seahawks Insider. Plus he can be heard on KJR regularly, and continues to stay active in various media responsibilities.

Some of his greatest achievements, however, are off the field. Mack has served on the Washington board of HOPE worldwide – a non-profit organization, which develops programs around the world for the most underserved and in need. Mack is married to his wife Zoë and they have two boys, Isaiah and Evan. Together they founded Strong Alliance a company that focuses on corporate team building and the development of youth education and leadership programs.

Their outstanding commitment to enhancing the lives of children in our community has earned Mack and Zoë several awards including the 2009 Mark Matthews Service to Children Award, 2011 Washingtonian of the Year award from the Association of Washington Generals and the Seattle Indian Health Board’s Adeline Garcia Community Service Award.

Hal Elrod has some serious bragging rights. He is the bestselling author The Miracle Morning and Talking LIfe Head On! national champion Sales Manager, record-breaking Sales Rep, ultra-marathon runner, grateful husband & proud father.

He has appeared on dozens of TV and radio shows across the country, and he’s been featured in numerous books, including The Education of Millionaires, the all-time bestselling Chicken Soup for the Soul series, Cutting Edge Sales, The 800-Pound Gorilla of Sales, Releasing the Chains, Living College Life In the Front Row, and The Author’s Guide To Building An Online Platform, to name a few.

JEANNIE PECK:

Jeannie Peck has worked and studied in the natural health field for over 20 years. She studied at Clayton College of Natural Health and Pan American University’s School of Natural Medicine earning her degree as Doctor of Natural Medicine (DNM).  She has attended many specialty certification courses including Functional Diagnostic Nutrition®, Mastering the Thyroid, Gluten Intolerance and Leaky Gut, Laboratory Assessments, Herbal and Mineral Medicines, and Jin Shin Jyutsu®.  She is a Sanctified Healer and vested in the sanctuary of Knighthood with the Sacred Medical Order of the Church of Hope, SMOCH, an international medical missionary organization that provides medical needs around the world.   She has committed herself to serving the needs of the community and living a life of the Beatitudes.

Jeannie teaches the clients of Health by Design Natural Clinic at two locations in Lancaster County, how to improve, maintain and prevent health conditions using nutrition and natural modalities. Her additional certifications include Jin Shin Jyutsu® Student Practitioner, often referred to as needle-less acupuncture, and Self Help Instructor. She is a certified Tai Chi for Arthritis Instructor, a certified Self Help Instructor with the Arthritis Foundation, and holds a lifetime certification through the Health Preservation Association teaching Tai Chi and Qi Gong for Wellness programs.

Jeannie and her staff at Health by Design Natural Clinic provide functional assessments of hormone, digestion, intestinal barrier, immune, and detoxification systems.  They address the underlying cause of symptoms associated with these systems with simple healthy lifestyle changes and professional supplementation.  Their services include functional nutritional counseling for adults and children, healthy eating plans and healthy weight loss plans, non-invasive health screenings, and various fitness classes including Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga, and Interval Fitness.

EMILY GIVLER:

Emily has been training and working in the natural health field for over a decade. She came to Health by Design Natural Clinic in 2010 with an extensive background as a chiropractic technician, board certified chiropractic Radiologic Technologist, and Usui Reiki Master. She earned her certification as a Dietary Supplements Counselor through the Holt Institute of Medicine in 2011. She is a Certified Jade Therapeutician, having completed extensive training with Professor Dr. Charles McWilliams, who developed Jade Therapy.

Emily is trained as a PSYCH-K® Facilitator to provide clients a simple and direct way to change self-limiting beliefs into beliefs and behaviors that support goals and aspirations, particularly in areas of health and body issues. She finds this to be a wonderful adjunct to the Healthy Weight Loss plans she offers for individuals and families.

Emily focuses on healthy weight loss, healthy eating plans, food sensitivities counseling, and heads up our children’s nutrition department offering nutritional support for children.  Helping children is an area dear to her heart, both as a mother and because of the years she spent volunteering at the S. June Smith Center, working with children with special developmental needs. She is excited to be able to share the message about good nutrition with our youngest clients and their families!

Nick Redfern is a full-time author and journalist specializing in a wide range of unsolved mysteries, including Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, UFO sightings, government conspiracies, alien abductions and paranormal phenomena.

He writes regularly for the London Daily Express newspaper, Fortean Times, Fate, and UFO Magazine. His previous books include Three Men Seeking Monsters, Strange Secrets, Cosmic Crashes, and The FBI Files. Nick has appeared on more than 60 TV shows to promote his books and his research. In the late summer of 2004 he traveled to Puerto Rico for two weeks with a film team from the Sci-Fi Channel’s series, Proof Positive, to make a documentary about the Chupacabras. He appeared on the MSNBC show Countdown with Keith Olbermann on February 9, 2005. He also traveled to Puerto Rico in September 2005 to make a show about the Chupacabras for Canada’s Space Channel.
