Linda Matthie is a global traveller, an Entrepreneur, Author and Mentor with a passion for living a wonderful and full life. She is the author of three national best-selling cookbooks) and passionate about travel, taking photographs, entertaining, eating great food and drinking fine wine, while enjoying visiting new places and seeing the world. Linda is the President of MJM Grande Ventures.

Living in Cabo St Lucas, Mexico, each spring Linda and her Partner Ron drive from Cabo to northern California, then on to New York where Ron teaches tennis all summer in the Hamptons. While Ron is working, Linda returns to Canada to spend time with family and friends, and consult as a Joint Venture Specialist in the petroleum industry. She spent many years fundraising and advocating for Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza (R.I.S.E.) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, which is a small refuge for abandoned and orphaned children.

She is the co-author of the best seller entitled The Fire ‘n’ Ice Cookbook – Mexican Food with a Bold New Attitude and author of the best sellers entitled Light the Fire – Fiery Food with a Light New Attitude! and The Hot Sauce Bottle Cookbook: Recipes that Sizzle – Sauces that Cook! The brand “cooking with fire” reflects her commitment to doing things that ignite and maintain passion. She wrote the series of cookbooks to share her burning desire for healthy, fiery foods of the world and dedication to sharing her passion for fiery fare and creating fabulous, fun and flavorful food characterized by healthy and light recipes.

Linda is also the Author of a food, wine, and travel blog that can also be found at "cookingwithfire", and a  passionate reviewer on TripAdvisor (with over 170,000 readers) and her images on Instagram can be seen at "the.original.cookingwithfire".
